UC S16 R1 - N30 vs W T F - the 69 game

In the world of Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming, Two powerful families are fighting for control of Casterly Rock: On the one hand, Targaryen, lords of Dragons, and on the other, Lannister, the mighty lions. Will the warden of the west prevail or will the queen of the seven kingdoms end her reign? In this much-anticipated event called Alliance Conquest

Two alliances meet on the battlefield, each one represents one family (Lannister or Targaryen) fighting for control of the buildings and for glory and honor. After the Season of Alliance Conquest has ended, 16 teams made it to the Ultimate Conquest tournament, If u recall from the previous stories, N30 didn't have an easy season like usual, But in the end, we pulled it together and we are ready to fight.

In the 1^st round, N30 met WTF, these two alliances have met before in previous seasons, so this wasn't something new to either team and there's not much love between the 2 teams, So winning is what was in our minds. Each team has its event leaders, well-experienced players who call the shots during the event and they lead their teams with a well-planned strategy, for our team it was Benni and Ana, and for WTF it's usually Vladda(unless they changed ). 

We were getting ready for battle, we put our gears on, changed castle skin (buff castles or castles with attack stats/heal stats depending on your role), and everyone was in their designated spot. Suddenly someone said " I don't think they are planning to fight, check their armies, most of them brought only 69 troops"...Hmmm, looks like someone is trying to be funny and avoid battle. They could be thinking ahead to the 3^rd round when they will have to face us again. To be honest, we were a bit disappointed but not at all surprised, I guess revenge on the loss we suffered against them in AC will have to wait for the next time we meet. I mean, aren't we all here to have fun at the end? Anyway....everything is ready and everyone is anxious to get started!!

The timer counted back to zero…and it was time for battle, troops raced to the 4 buildings that opened – Temple of the Mother, Tower of the Warrior, Lannister Outpost, and Targaryen Outpost. N30 was off to a good start, we took 3 out of 4 buildings (WTF took Warrior). After the race was over, a switch was about to be made on Targaryen Outpost, A switch is a well-known Tactic in this match, alliances do that in order to place a much stronger player with high stats and power, to make sure incoming attacks won't cause the alliance to lose it.  We also made a rally right away on Warrior, this match isn't going to be a tough one, so it's a good time to practice, so we are well-timed and ready when it really counts. WTF may have thrown the match, but we take every match seriously, till we can relax and play Skribbl in easy-going matches. I opened the rally window to join a rally, but wait… there was no rally to join, what happened? Oh, Jack did a solo attack and took it… oops 😜

Ports, an important building to hold opened and racers from both sides raced each other to take first capture (gives initial points, 800 for each port). Our racers successfully captured both ports; there were a few lines from WTF, but like I told you, they were not trying to win this match, so they didn't speed up their racers. We made a successful swap of both ports, Deadpool and Phil were in and troops were sent to them. A look at the map revealed the status of the match, all buildings were colored blue, they were all under N30 control. N3O players were getting a bit bored, we always love a good fight, and matches like this are not our favorite, we expect this kind of match from weaker alliances, where it's understandable that they can't win but at least they are trying, aren't we all here to have fun at the end? But not from WTF, they have good fighters and they can give us a much better fight, they did win against us last time we fought just recently during AC season, were they thinking they can replicate their win? That N3O would come even more fired up and with revenge in their mind and that this match will be highly costly to them? all valid points that could explain WTF's decision to give up before the match even began.

  Time wasn't really passing by, this was one of those slow matches when there's not much to do, but is there? I smell a game of Skribbl coming. But first, we take CR, and then we go have some real fun and laughs. After 10 minutes had passed since the match started, It was time for CR, one of the largest buildings in this match, racers get ready…. GO! N3O was the first to reach the building, and WTF did race for it ( much to our surprise…lol), We were getting ready for a swap, or as Benni calls it " The old switcheroo", He noticed that WTF had QueenOfSin slow march to CR, meaning they plan to steal it from us when we will make our swap…hmm, either they are super bored or just trying to annoy us, or both, I think it's both. We disbanded and she timed it very well and she was in, well well …. Something to rally...yay!! , Storm was happy to see that, she loves to rally. finally, we have some action in this slow-paced match. We waited for the protection bubble to drop so we could set our rallies and give QueenOfSin some N30 "love" 😝.

Rallies were being filled and when they were full they were sent out, But wait...what did we just see? WTF disbanded...really? poorly done WTF…poorly done. We took it with one of the rallies, not sure we will swap it, probably yes, that's up to Benni and Ana, our event leaders. But first, we need to race and take strongholds… I wonder if WTF will race for it and will they speed it up to actually try and take it? Hmm… let's find out.

Stronghold, the last building to open up before the mines were now open, Racers set to race, and what do you know? They actually raced and got one of the strongholds. Will they fill it? We watched the timer and waited to see if they filled it so we will need to rally or will a few solos (maybe even one) would be enough. "

Guys, No one solo it, make a rally on the thingy…"Benni said and we had a laugh, it's called Stronghold Benni :D.

Rallies were sent and Sergio's rally did the job, well done Sergio! We also took our Outpost as it was poorly reinforced (told you they aren't really trying anything, except to annoy). All the buildings on the Map were colored blue and since WTF isn't really in this match, there was only one thing left to do – SKIRBBL!! Benni said to us:" OK people we have a Skribbl". We made sure we were empty, we sent troops out to buildings and now we can focus on the fun stuff. I'll add the video of it here so you can enjoy our " wonderful" drawing skills, Picasso we are behind you ;) 

After a very funny game of Skribbl(see video above), it was time to go back to our match, the mines were about to open. Just a small reminder, they are very important buildings in AC/UC, they each hold 14,000 points, and believe me when I tell you that I've seen many matches being determined by them, they literally make or break a match. They opened up and we raced for both, we managed to capture only one, but WTF took the other. We quickly filled ours and Benni, our well-respected leader took the other away from WTF as they didn't reinforce. One look at the map revealed a lovely blue view. This match is pretty much over, with 15 minutes to spare before the time runs out of it. If we are being honest, the match was over before it even began, WTF didn't play to the full of their abilities and they made a tactical decision to save themselves for our next match (which will take place in the 3^rd round of UC. Some would say they made a smart move, and I don't disagree with them, for us it was a boring match, we always love a good fight and we love to battle and have fun, win or lose (of course we love to win, who doesn't?), but for WTF it was a decision made for the purpose of saving heals, rss and speedups, those speedups have a tendency of vanishing very fast.

Lights went out on our battlefield, Benni thanked us all for joining the match and also asked us all to put up a truce so we wouldn't get hit by some merit seeker or by one of our enemies. We spent a bit more time on our voice chat, and people started saying good night/good morning (depending on their time zone) and leaving the chat. We have a tough battle waiting for us on our next round against BDR, it won't be easy at all, we came close the last time, but not close enough.
