With how wild and unbalanced some KvKs can be, most alliances now look at their opposition with weary, skeptical eyes. So we in N0X and over in the new kingdom of 385 were delighted to see a balanced matchup between ourselves and K153 with the alliance BuN. Similarly matched in BR and firepower across the board, it was looking like a perfect storm - and with this particular KvK being no deaths, there was no reason not to throw ourselves and really go 100% all out! 😀Would our optimism and excitement be enough to give us the win against the much older kingdom of K153? Let's see how we did!
One of the few real tussles over King's Landing, and it happened not between the biggest players from both sides, but from two small rally leads - both respectable in their own rights and clearly wanting to prove themselves taking and holding the most important great castle on the map. The fighting had been raging on for a while between BuN's Grimassi and many of the N0X players and most of it looking great for BuN, but it was the last and most important skirmish that heavily went in our favor with Matrix's impressive spears able to almost decimate his opponent's infantry. An impressive win no doubt, and really it was quite lucky for the BuN player that he managed to get close to a full counter... wouldn't have been pretty otherwise!

A solitary picture that accurately tells the story of the this War of the Kingdoms. We had full control of the GCs in K153 for most of the day and even though BuN tried to take castles in our own kingdom, they met with a lot of resistance and we eventually retained all castles at home as well.
A common sight across any KvK, teams will generally gather their forces into a mini war hive, focused entirely on fighting and holding castles across the map. Being in such a strong position naturally means the enemy is going to quite aware of where you are, and visitors to your new hive will be common. WAKANDA F was one such visitor, in a smaller alliance on K135. Clearly, he came without strategy, and purely with the hopes of just having some fun on a no death KvK!😂Unfortunately for myself, although none of my soldiers were hurt in his attack on my castle, almost all of my beautiful traps were destroyed... tragedy! Happy to take his kill points though!
We were seemingly marching to victory the whole time - and hits like this were only going to help our cause. I'm sure absolutely no one reading this will be surprised to see Belore's name mentioned in these back and forth engages. Our chief rally lead and resident whale (or something very close to that!) when these fights arise Belore's always one of the first to arrive and a name we're all very happy to jump over to send aid to whether it's for offensive or defensive rallies. This time the unlucky victims were BuN's Csati and Spitey Jerk, both of whom received pretty brutal spankings. Taking such huge numbers in kills and losing so few is always going to be a nice boost for our overall points in a KvK that in theory should have been very close!

This was the hit that, in my eyes at least, sealed the deal for our victory in N0X and for K385. Cubishina was a name I'd known for a while - she's a rally lead that had enjoyed stints in BDR, strong enough to even lead rallies in one of the most powerful alliances in the game - so she was always going to be a huge headache for us. Luckily for us, and bizarrely, she decided to leave all her game know how at the door as she came at us. As strong as her army is, sending a hodge podge of commanders with her poor horseman straight into KungFu's 15 million strong defense was... interesting, to say the least. The most powerful enemy player's lord sitting sad and dejected in one of our dusty dungeons and with K385 already enjoying a sizeable lead, things were definitely looking good!

In theory, one of the closest matchups you could ask for in K385 and K153, two kingdoms with one major alliance each - N0X sitting at 90m battle rating and BuN sitting pretty at just over a 100 million. Sadly for our rivals the matchup was skewed almost from the get go, our eager beavers were able to get out farming and collecting points, both from great castles and any unfortunates caught with their pan.. bubbles down. Even when they did finally wake up it was too late, and the game was very much ours to win. We kept onto the lead and that monstrous mistake by Cubishina really was the nail in the coffin for BuN, and the win that sealed the deal for our big win! Thank you for the level 5 mines K153, and good luck next KvK! GG~
