Fighting Against Friends - Arena of Honor Season 4 Round 14

Christmas is quickly approaching in Westeros and while everyone is starting to get busy with preparations for the holidays, for the warriors in Westeros there are still fights that have to be dealt with before eating all that good food. The 14th round of Arena of Honor is set to happen on 14th of December and with just 2 rounds left from the season everyone is trying to do their best in the event and score as many fame points as possible. Things aren't different for [N0X] Shado and the team, after they managed to recover from that 5th place they had in round 12 with a win in round 13 they have to get 2 more wins in the last 2 rounds. As always, Shado prepared as good as he possibly could and while not being able to get Vorian in his commander's lineup yet, he did manage to get 3 new dragon skills for his dragons. He was just returning from the Dragonstone quests when he noticed that it's already Sunday and as the sun was setting it was time for him to head towards the Arena of Honor battlefield. Once he arrived there he met with the team, and they all signed up for the round and once the team was registered, they waited patiently for the Old Gods to finish the matchmaking.

After just a few minutes, the matchmaking concluded and it was time for the warriors to step in the arena. The house representatives were ready to pick their teams, and on this round the team was chosen by the Lannister's to fight for their house, so everyone headed towards the south-east forests of the battlefield where the House Lannister's clan castle is located. With just a few minutes left before the fight actually started, while they were discussing last minute strategies, Shado decided to do his usual quick scouting on the other houses and see what they are up to.

The scouts returned quickly with the news, and as expected, the news weren't too good, beside facing 2 extremely strong teams, one of them was the strongest [N0X] team joined by [BDR]Grombold and [BDR]MAKIMA and the other one a very strong [NBe] team joined by [HVL]Deathbunny.

It was looking like it's going to be a very hard battle once again, but Shado's team had a lot of strong warriors too, so they were up for the challenge. Fight started quickly after with the opening of the first set of strongholds and everyone rushed for them to start the points generation as quickly as possible.

After the introduction of the AI teams into the play, mostly everyone goes for military camps now to try and get one of the AI houses as quickly as possible and things weren't different for House Lannister that went with spearmen camps this time to counter the cavalry neutral NPCs. Their plan worked and within minutes they took control over the House Baratheon's clan castle and then based on what was happening on the battlefield, namely House Targaryen building infantry camps, they decided to build trading posts on the rest of the strongholds to have a better points generation. Despite building so many strongholds at once, the team was doing great, constructors were moving quickly from one building to another and in less than 10 minutes all the 24 strongholds were fully built and they were generation a lot of points for the team.

However, the [N0X] team was doing even better securing altars, especially altar of the maiden and just before the City of Glory was about to open, they were leading in points.

Everyone on the battlefield knew how important the City of Glory is for the economy of this fight so as soon as the bubble dropped, they launched devasting solos in an attempt to take the city and hold'it till the end of the fight. Arthurion decide to take the lead for House Lannister, and everyone reinforced as quickly as possible as the attack rallies were already being prepared.

A total of 6 rallies were being brewed by the House Targaryen and House Stark and defending the City of Glory was announcing to be very hard. Once the rallies arrived near the City of Glory the earth started trembling under their march, about 35 million troops let by extraordinary commanders were about to hit the city and Arthurion only had around 10 million to defend with.

Arthurion was fighting valiantly and despite being heavily outnumbered he managed to deal swiftly with the 3 rallies sent by the House Targaryen. But the damage the rallies did combine with the damage that catapults constantly do was too much for the team to handle by reinforcing and one of the House Stark's rallies managed to break thru and kicked House Lannister from the city. Then a back-and-forth fight between the 3 houses started with all of them taking turns at holding the city but none of them being able to hold'it for the 4 minutes required to fully occupy.

The fight went onwards for tens of minutes without any house managing to keep the city, until DeathBunny managed to sneak inside the castle and with the help of the infantry camps providing him extra stats and House Targaryen having the catapults, they managed to reinforce in time and hold the city for enough time to fully occupy 'it with just a few minutes left to fight.

Despite managing to get the City of Glory, that took all of House Targaryen's attention and then having to keep the military camps for the whole fight ultimately had them ending on 3rd place. Shado and his team managed to score yet another great victory in such a disputed battlefield and the [N0X] team with Grombold and MAKIMA came on a close 2nd. There's just 1 round left to play of this season, will Shado manage to get yet another win and even more fame points? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
