THE BLEED/CRIT SYNERGY
The Bleed/Crit setup is built around Sinara and her 4-star awakening skill “Fearless Advancement”. Her awakening skills prevent all the ally commanders from casting their Active Army skill or initiate Weakness Attack. Because of this reason, Bleed synergy cannot be mixed with Leila’s female synergy or Jaime’s Weakness Attack synergy.
Another key point to not miss out here is that Sinara helps only ‘melee’ troops, i.e. if you try and play ‘Bows’ with this lineup, Sinara’s awakening won’t do great. So it kinda restricts us to play inf, cav or spears but ideally, NO bows.
Other means to boost the Setup
Bleed and Crit setup and be furthermore improved by other means such as castle exteriors and dragon skills. The main idea here is to either inflict ‘Bleed’ or deal additional damage either through dragon attacks or other skills.
There is a red dragon skill called “Dragon Flame Skill” which is best suited for this lineup. If our troops launch 10 additional hits (which is quite easy with Sinara’s lineup) then there is a 30% chance of summoning the allied dragon to launch an attack.
Another skill is called “Dragon Bleed Skill” which increases the ‘Bleed’ damage done by our troops by 10%. This results in higher damage being dealt to the enemy whenever any commander inflicts Bleed.
Similarly, “Silence” castle exterior increases ‘Bleed’ damage received by all enemy lineups by 25%. On the other hand, “Castle of Triumph” not just increases ‘Bleed’ damage received by all enemy lineups by 25% but it also increases the damage dealt by our troops in terms of ‘Normal’ and ‘Bleed’ damage by 5%.
Compatible Commanders for the Setup
Since this synergy cannot be mixed with other two synergies, the choice of commanders is very limited. Therefore, commanders who are silenced by themselves or are not reliant on their Active Army skill or need to cast Weakness attacks are better choices for this setup.
GREAT COMMANDERS:
Rhea
Since Rhea already silences herself, she is a very good choice for this setup. She also inflicts “Bleed” on the enemy. Also, she provides great Inf and Cav stats so is a perfect choice for ‘melee’ troop types.

Sandor
Sandor silences himself and 1 other random ally commander and also inflicts Bleed. Since his awakening skill is triggered after 40 normal attacks and Sinara helps to perform some extra normal attacks, it helps to trigger his skill faster.
Jon Snow
Jon is not a ‘Bleed’ commander. Instead, he is a ‘Crit’ commander. Normally, all the commanders have 120% crit value but Jon offers ‘150% crit’. Also, he provides ‘Normal Attack Damage Reduction’ for 15 seconds.
Kevin
Kevin is a great commander for this setup. He provides a shield for the allied lineup and it’s also triggered by the ‘normal attack’ so the shield is pretty repetitive. When we use Kevin in the Bleed lineup, his skill gets triggered almost every second or after every 2 seconds and that brings about a big change in the outcome. By providing shields to our weakest lineup, Kevin helps us counter the Weakness lineup.

Dearon
Dearon is a great commander for this setup and the latest addition for this setup. After 50 normal attacks, he deals damage to all enemies with damage coefficient of 50%. And if the enemy is inflicted by ‘Bleed’, they take an additional hit with 150% damage coefficient. Both these skills combined makes him one of the best synergy commanders.
GOOD COMMANDERS:
Merrel Paeke
Merrel is also a ‘Crit’ commander with Crit coefficient of 120%. Since in Bleed setup, we can use just inf or cav troops for max benefit, Merrel is a very good choice if anyone wants to play cav troops.

Lareo
Lareo is another latest addition to this lineup and just like Merrel, he too is a F2P choice which makes him a preferable choice. He’s a ‘Crit’ commander as every time ally Inf launches 4 normal attacks, it increases their Health by 5% and also 50% chance of Crit damage which has 120% damage coefficient.
Barret
Barret is another commander who can inflict ‘Bleed’. He doesn’t provide much Inf attack stats and so he is not a very great choice but he is still a pretty good choice because of his skill.

THREATS FOR THIS SETUP:
Daenerys Targaryen and Cersei Lannister
Any commander which can inflict ‘Disarm’ is always a big threat for the Bleed setup. This is due to the fact that Bleed setup is 100% reliant on the Normal attacks, so if they get missed, then the damage will not be dealt to the enemy.
Apart from that, when Annie and Arya have their own respective weapon they too offer additional damage to the troops which are under ‘Disarmed’ status which makes them a great threat too!
GREAT WHEN USED AGAINST:
Petyr Baelish
Petyr Baelish tends to put enemy commanders under “Disharmony” but since Bleed lineup doesn’t work on Active Army skill, it’s immune to this effect and this makes it the only true counter for Baelish in the game.
Weapons for this Synergy:
Ideally, there are no weapons in-game who are specific for the improvement of any synergy. How it basically works is, each commander’s weapon improves their awakening skill or overall performance and then as an end product, it enhances the performance. Just the way we have some crucial commanders for Bleed synergy, their own weapons act as the biggest trigger point. Let’s have a look at some of the top bleed/crit synergy weapons.
Dance of Water - Sinara
As we know, Sinara is the main commander of this Synergy and therefore her weapon plays the most crucial role. Maxing her weapon increases the chances of dealing additional normal attacks which could play a huge role in deciding the outcome of the battle.
Fiery Scar - Sandor
Longclaw - Jon Snow
Enchanting Soul - Rhea
Dragonglass Chains - Kevin
Punishing Brand - Merrel
As we can see above, basically all the great commanders of this synergy, when equipping their own weapons (even better if that weapon is maxed), become far more lethal. As of this moment, we’re still awaiting Dearon’s weapon but no doubt it would be an amazing one as well!
How does it look like in Battle Reports:
Let’s have a look at one of the battle reports to have a better understanding of how the lineup works
As we can see, we have used a great Bleed/Crit lineup with Sinara and Kevin who are the pillars of this setup. We also have Rhea who’s part of Bleed setup and then Latz and Andrea to buff Inf stats.
At 3 seconds, we can see that our a2 lineup launched an attack and it triggered Sinara’s and Kevin’s awakening skills. And again when our a1 lineup launches an attack, it again triggers Sinara and Kevin’s skills.
That’s the great thing about this lineup as there are so many occasions when ‘crit’ occurs and that helps Sinara and Kevin to use their skills. Because of this, this lineup is the best damage dealing synergy, in my opinion.
CONCLUSION:
1. Bleed setup is the most strict or rigid synergy and it cannot be mixed with any other synergy because “Silenced” state prevents commanders from casting Active Army Skills and “Excited” state doesn’t let them initiate Weakness Attacks.
2. Kevin’s Awakening skill acts as a great counter against Weakness Synergy as it provides ‘shield’ to our weakest lineup and Weakness synergy tends to launch attacks on our weakest lineup.
3. This synergy works good only for “Melee troops'', i.e. Infs, Cavs and Spears and is best suited for Inf front or Inf troops in general because most commanders like Sinara, Barret, Rhea offers Inf stats whereas commanders like Merrel, Rhea offers good Cav stats. So it’s kinda hard to play spears with this setup (in terms of stats obtained from the comms)
4. Bleed is 100% immune to Baelish’s awakening skill as Active Army Skill is completely out of the equation. This technically makes Sinara one and only pure counter for Baelish.
5. Bleed setup is however vulnerable against Female commanders like Margaery, Cersei and Daenerys who offer “Disarm”, leading normal attacks to miss out.

Last updated in November 2025
Recently, another Bleed/Crit commander, Jaqen H'ghar was added to the game who is potentially an improved version of Sinara.
Jaqen helps in triggering additional attack (1, 2 or 3 times) which helps deal extra damage to the enemy lineup. Also, for every 15 normal attacks, it immediately defeats 8% of the target's troops.

Apart from Jaqen, another new commander named Vorian has been added.

Addition of these commanders has changed the concept and definition of premium lineup and due to that factor, below is the updated commanders' ranking for reference:
GREAT COMMANDERS FOR BLEED SYNERGY
- Vorian
- Dearon
- Night King
- Jon Snow
- Rhea
GOOD COMMANDERS FOR BLEED SYNERGY
- Kevin
- Barret
- Lareo
- Mengo (Cavs)
- Merrel (Cavs)
- Julien
BAD COMMANDERS FOR BLEED SYNERGY
Any Commander which focuses on Females (Active Army Skill) or Weakness (Weakness Attacks) Synergies as they all get 'Silenced'.
NEW WEAPONS
Vorian → Ember Greatsword

Just like any other weapon, Vorian's weapon also helps improve and empower his awakening skill and as the weapon is upgraded level by level, the boost he gets keeps getting better.

Dearon → Flames of War

'Flames of War' help improve Daeron's skill which results in more damage being dealt to all the enemies, which provides a major boost to your lineup.

Many players are waiting for Jaqen's weapon to be released soon as that would further improve his awakening skill, making him a lot more effective!
MARCHING ANIMATION

A new marching animation called "Oathkeeper Army" has also been added in-game which also improves commanders' Bleed Damage which directly strengthens the synergy.
