Howdy Infinity Kingdom Community, today we will be taking a look in the King of the Hill event, and strategies to increase your chances of winning this amazing event. In this article we will go through each of the five phases of the of King of the Hill, what are the goals of each stage, how to best achieve these goals, strategies to maximize efficiency and also how to cooperate with friends to help each other to achieve a higher rank.

Each stage of the KotH event is ranked, but only the top 3 participants will receive relevant rewards, the final reward of King of the Hill can be 60 or more fragments of an unique immortal only obtainable only through King of the Hill or a new event recently released. It is also important to note that your points obtained each stage of the event are going to be summed and will be counted towards your overall ranking.

Phase I

The very first phase of the King of the Hill is somewhat of a preparatory stage, where players are going to obtain points by training troops or producing fortifications, which is very convenient for the next phases of the event, because you will need a lot of troops for phase II and phase V. There are some important information that you need to be aware in this phase, one of them is the different scoring that you will receive by crafting different levels of fortifications and by training different levels of soldiers:

Level 1 Soldier = 8 points;

Level 2 Soldier = 16 points;

Level 3 Soldier = 32 points;

Level 4 Soldier = 48 points;

Level 5 Soldier = 64 points;

Level 1 Fortification = 24 points;

Level 2 Fortification = 32 points;

Level 3 Fortification = 48 points;

Level 4 Fortification = 64 points;

Level 5 Fortification = 128 points;

One good strategy for the first phase of the event is to start training your troops and producing fortifications a couple hours before the reset, and the event's beginning, this way you will have a small head start on your competitors. It is also advisable to dismiss troops in case you reach the limit of your training grounds, you will be getting getting back 80% of the resources spent for training them in the first place.

Phase II

In this phase the player must eliminate Gnome camps and Gnome bosses to obtain points, as you would expect, the higher the level of gnome camps, the more points you will gain in this stage. The best strategy in this stage is to find the gnome level which gives the most amount of points, without causing significant casualties to your troops, this way to can keep a balance between points gained per attack, and the number of attacks that you can afford to execute before you run out of troops. Another good strategy is to hunt gnome bosses of the highest level that you can eliminate with 2 attacks, taking 50% of the boss' life, and opening the chests with keys saved beforehand. The latest is probably the most effective method of gaining points, but also de most costly.

Phase III

For the third stage of the King of the Hill event, players must gather resources to obtain resources, for every 2 resources collected one point will be given to the player. This stage seems straight forward, but there are many strategies that can be applied here as well, the first is to calculate how long your troops will take to fully gather a node and then start collecting before this stage begins, so you can start the stage with a good head start on your competitors. The next strategy is to attack other players' nodes and rob their resources :D. Some servers don't allow the latest strategy, but if yours allow, take advantage of it.

Phase IV

This phase involves castle development, this means that players are going to gain points for constructing buildings, researching technologies and by training their dragon. Players are going to receive 480 points per minute of Tech Research, Dragon Upgrade or Building Upgrade. The strategy for this phase is similar to the one utilized on Phase I and Phase III, you can start constructions and technology researches days, or even weeks, and calculate them to end on the day of this phase of the King of the Hill, this is obviously a very challenging task, but you should keep this in mind.

Phase V

This is the last and most exciting phase of the KotH event, this is the PvP stage, and differently from every other stage, this stage will last for 2 days instead of one. This is the most complicated stage, because it will depend a lot on how aggressive players are in your server. One good strategy is to trade honor with your friends to reach a higher rank, but this can be a dangerous task, because an enemy player can teleport to your locations and pick both of you unprepared for the fight.

The King of the Hill is one of the most important events in the game, here you can obtain exclusive immortals that are very hard to be obtained in the game, and even if you already have them, the total reward for the whole event is magnificent.
