💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? The Throne of the Supreme event is getting a full revamp in Patch 2.9.0, promising fresh rules. In this article, we will break down the new format and what the changes entail. The event will start on Saturday, December 20.

💠Rules

Participating servers have to have cleared Chronicle Place Chapter 17 and players are required to be at least Lord Level 11. All matches are Auto Mode, and each participant fields a single 4-unit lineup used for both offense and defense. Rounds are won by eliminating three enemy units; if the timer expires without a winner, overtime triggers until the round is decided. To prevent stalls, a “Showdown” battle boost activates 60 seconds into each fight, increasing both sides’ damage by 50% every 3 seconds until the battle ends. Each tournament runs for 37 days, 30 days for battles, and 7 days for rest.

💠Stages

The revamped Throne runs in three stages: a 14-day Qualifying Round where players get 10 daily auto-battles to earn points, resetting at 00:00 UTC, with the Top 128 advancing (up from 64), an 8-day Group Elimination with 128 players split into 16 groups of 8 for round-robin best-of-3s (each opponent faced twice, once attacking and once defending), 3 points per match win, 15-minute breaks for lineup tweaks, and the Top 4 from each group (64 total) moving on,  and a 7-day Grand Final with four 16-player knockout brackets playing best-of-5s (first attacker random, then loser attacks), 15-minute intervals between battles, culminating in Semifinals and Finals to decide Champion, Runner-up, and Third Place.

💠Summary

Overall, the revamped Throne keeps the core structure but massively expands participation and streamlines progression. Previously, Stage 1 advanced 64 players, Stage 2 merged brackets to advance another top 64, then an interregional phase fed into Grand Finals—an often confusing path. In the new format, a larger entrant pool feeds a clear three-step flow: a 14-day qualifier into a 128-player group stage, then straight to a 64-player Grand Final. The phases are less convoluted, more transparent, and easier to follow while preserving the event’s competitive integrity.
