Today I will teach you how to utilize the Novice portal mechanic to its limit. In this guide will explain what this mechanic is, how to use it, why you should use it, and how much you can benefit from utilizing it. I will also teach you advanced techniques to increase your efficiency to the limit.

The novice portal is an item that every new character to Infinity Kingdom starts with, it enable the player of castle level 8 or below, to move to a server that has concluded Chronicle 8 (Server with about eight and a half days of age), and has not completed Chronicle 11 yet, or the server is over 90 days old and is open for jumpers of all kinds. The distinction of the Novice portal is that it is the only portal that allows players to join a server younger than 90 days.

Now two important questions must be answered, how to make usage of this mechanic, and why would you use it? The best way to take advantage of the novice portal is to create a character in a server which is already fully developed, and join an alliance with the maximum number of province capitals, which will generate gold income of 3000 per hour, per province, up to 27000 gold/h if all capitals are controlled by a single alliance. This is one of the many advantages that you can have by creating your character in a growth server.

The answer for the second question becomes obvious, by creating a character in an older server you can utilize your patience and dedication to gain a competitive edge by saving resources, and buying the packs with the best cost benefit, which are capped (I also have a spending guide ranking the packs by their value), and if you are F2P kind of person, this will make you competitive if you wait long enough! There are two milestones for your jump project, the first is to get your dragon of choice to level 25, and get your immortals maxed to 7 stars. To reach these two milestones, you will take anywhere from 45 days up to 90 days depending on the amount of bundles that you buy, dragon upgrading will be your bottleneck, it consumes around 30 to 40 days to reach level 25

Now that you know what the Novice portal mechanic is, I will walk you through the basics to get your jumper running. The first thing is to identify a server withe the ideal conditions, such as good gold income and free of wars, some of the best servers with these conditions are Server 1, Server 2, Server 3, Server 7 and S15. After you find the ideal place to start your jumper you need to make sure to get your castle up to level 8, by only constructing the buildings that are required for each upgrade. To maximize the number of dailies that you can accomplish without having to buy a resource boost, you should upgrade one building or conduct one research per day, you can always gain that extra Philosopher's Stone, 75 gems and 3 market orders to help you get the needed fragments for your main troops

The next step if for you to obtain your dragons. The first to be unlocked is Glyndwr, during Chapter 4 of your expansion quest, the water dragon is the best option for most jumpers, because the only immortal that you will need to purchase from the shop is Attila, and you can max him with daily packs in about 42 days, but if you wish, you can also buy his fragments for gems in the market, making the process much faster.

Water is also very convenient because you can easily obtain both Merlin and Attila in the first day of your project! The other two immortals necessary for a complete water team are Yoshitsune and Herald, while you can not obtain them through summons, they can be replaced by Helen of Troy and Brynhild, the first two elite immortals that you obtain when starting a character in Infinity Kingdom. The second and last dragon that can be unlocked is Demeter, he is earth element, and is the basis for one of the best sustain teams in the game. This team is more complex to properly build, because first you need to reach VIP 5 to obtain Zenobia, a key immortal of Earth's team.

The next key immortal is Alexander the Great, which is also obtained through purchasing Daily Packs that provide you with Mysterious Pearls. The third immortal is Cleopatra, which can be obtained through summons or in the luck spin event, which will cost you around 15000 gems.

The last important immortal for Earth is Charles, which is purchasable once per month in the "Epic Return" event. His pack will cost $100, and his fragments appear in the market for gems after you summon him. But you also can buy one of his packs per day to obtain 60 of his fragments:

After picking your team you will need to start your daily routine, the first thing that a C8 jumper should always do are the daily quests that are going to reward speedups, a Philosopher's stone and about 100 gems in total. Another very important activity is to never forget to collect your daily VIP, which grows up to 150 daily points in an increase of 5 points per day, if you lose one day, it will reset to 5 again. You should never forget to attack gnome bosses to always have a Dragon Chest being purified in your trove.

These are the basic activities that you should always strive to achieve, in the next section I will teach you how to optimize each and every one of these activities, which events you can and how to participate as a Castle level 8 jumper, and some advanced techniques to maximize your development, such as honor trading, and working with a farm (second character) to optimize your growth.
