Introduction
Moving into Legendary Season is one of those moments where Infinity Kingdom suddenly gives you several new things to work on at the same time. Building progression continues beyond Level 55, stronger equipment becomes available, new Academy technologies open up and Immortals require additional materials for Mythic development.
The temptation is to push everything immediately, especially the next troop tier. But the opening days are really about something else: setting up continuous progression.
Saved AP and SP can give you a strong start during the opening farming events, Azure Crystal production needs to stay active as much as possible, and reaching Academy Level 56 early allows Legendary research to begin while the rest of your city continues developing.
Years ago, when Castle 60 was still only something we could speculate about, the basic advice was already to prepare before the transition rather than react to it afterwards. Legendary Season now gives us a much clearer picture of what that preparation should actually look like.
When I first wrote about preparing for Castle 60, long before Legendary Season was fully revealed, the details were still speculative, but the core idea was already the same: prepare your resources before the progression wall arrives. This guide focuses on those first priorities, the bottlenecks worth anticipating and the mistakes that can slow down your progression unnecessarily.
1. Prepare Before the Transition
If your server has not entered Legendary Season yet, the best preparation is simple: save AP, SP, speedups instead of spending everything beforehand.
The opening days introduce several new progression needs at once. Immortals require more experience, equipment development becomes more demanding, and later upgrades add new materials such as Advanced Enchantment Stones. Having a large reserve of potions gives you the freedom to farm heavily as soon as the season begins instead of being limited by daily recovery.

There is little value in entering Legendary Season with empty reserves just because you wanted to maximize farming during the previous season. The transition itself is where those resources can start producing much more value.
Maël’s Opinion: This is probably the easiest advantage to prepare in advance. You do not need a complicated strategy here: arrive with AP, SP, speedupds, dragon crystals, essences and patience. Legendary Season creates enough new bottlenecks on its own. Starting with no farming reserve simply adds another one unnecessarily.
2. Make the Most of Early Farming
One of the first opportunities to watch for after entering Legendary Season is the Double Rewards event. This is where the AP you saved beforehand can immediately start paying off.
Legendary progression increases the demand for Immortal experience, Enchantment Stones, Advanced Enchantment Stones and stronger equipment, so double rewards are an excellent time to build an early stockpile. As your marches improve, higher-level Gnomes and Gnome Bosses also provide better experience and loot.
But higher does not automatically mean better. If pushing the next level leaves your marches heavily wounded after every fight, the extra rewards can quickly be cancelled out by healing costs and downtime. Farm the highest level you can clear consistently and efficiently, rather than forcing fights simply because they are available.

Maël’s Opinion: This is where saving AP beforehand really makes sense. Double Rewards should be treated as an efficiency window, not an excuse to burn your army against the highest Gnome you can technically defeat. The goal is to convert as much AP as possible into useful Legendary progression while keeping your marches farming.
3. Keep Azure Crystal Production Running
Azure Crystals quickly become one of the main bottlenecks of Legendary Season because they are required for the new building progression. The important part is not just how many you produce, but how consistently you keep the Forge running.
You can queue up to 999 Azure Crystals at once, and you do not need to wait for the full batch to finish before collecting them. That makes the system much more flexible than it first appears. Collect what is ready when you log in, then keep enough production queued so the Forge continues working while you are offline.

A simple routine works well: refresh production before bed, again in the morning, and whenever you return later in the day. The objective is not perfect timing. It is simply to avoid long periods where production has stopped.
Maël’s Opinion: This is one of those systems that looks passive but has a huge impact over time. Every hour the Forge sits idle is progression you cannot really recover later. Legendary Season already asks for a lot of Azure Crystals, so keeping production close to 24/7 is one of the easiest habits to establish early.
4. Castle First, Academy 56 Next
The more important early objective is to progress the Castle, then reach Academy Level 56 as quickly as possible.
Academy 56 opens the first new Legendary technologies, which means your research queue can start working while your builders continue developing the city. That matters because research is one of the longest-running progression timers in the game, and every day spent without access to those technologies is effectively lost progress.

A short period with an idle building queue is therefore less damaging than delaying Legendary research. Once Academy 56 is unlocked, you can continue working through the building requirements that eventually lead toward stronger Barracks and the next troop tier.

Maël’s Opinion: This is probably the most important priority to get right early. Getting Legendary research running early means your city can progress on two fronts at once: builders move toward the Barracks path while the Academy keeps developing your troops and Immortals in the background.
5. Plan the Route to Stronger Troops
Once Academy 56 is running, the next objective is to work toward the Barracks requirements and the next troop tier. The key is to plan that route before spending too many Azure Crystals elsewhere.
Barracks upgrades are tied to Castle progression and supporting buildings, so they cannot be rushed in isolation. The safest approach is to work backwards from the next Barracks level, identify every prerequisite, and avoid spending your early Azure Crystals on buildings that do not move either your Academy or troop progression forward.
That way, both major timers stay productive at the same time: research continues in the Academy while your builders prepare the path toward stronger troops.

Maël’s Opinion: This is where poor planning can become expensive. Azure Crystals are too important to spend blindly during the opening phase. Before upgrading anything optional, check whether it actually helps unlock your next Academy or Barracks requirement. Legendary Season rewards players who plan two or three upgrades ahead rather than simply upgrading whatever is available.
Final Thoughts
The transition to Legendary Season is less about rushing one major unlock and more about getting every important progression system moving early.
Arrive with AP and SP available, take advantage of the opening farming opportunities, keep Azure Crystal production running, and prioritize Castle → Academy 56 before committing heavily to the Barracks path. Once research and building progression are working in parallel, the rest becomes much easier to manage.
The biggest mistake is trying to accelerate everything at once. Legendary Season rewards preparation and consistency far more than a few rushed upgrades.
Farm efficiently, keep your timers running, spend Azure Crystals with a plan, and let the progression build from there.
