💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? With so many skill options, it can become difficult to know which skill to equip over another. In this article, we’ll take a look at two KvK skills, Berserker and Wind Rage, compare how they affect Alexander’s attack frequency and damage output, and determine which one performed better in actual battles.

💠Table of Contents

  • Wind Rage
  • Berserker
  • Number of Attacks Comparison
  • Damage Comparison
  • Verdict

💠Wind Rage

Wind Rage is a passive Epic skill with no position limit that gives each normal attack a 55% chance to trigger one additional normal attack, but the extra hit cannot trigger another Wind Rage hit. That means every 100 normal attacks will produce about 55 extra attacks on average, for a total of about 155 normal attacks. It is mostly used on Alexander, Hannibal Barca, and Ares because they either have Exclusive Artifacts that increase Attack Speed or passive effects that provide additional Attack Speed, allowing them to generate more normal attacks and therefore more Wind Rage procs throughout a battle. This makes Wind Rage especially valuable on Immortals whose overall damage scales heavily with repeated normal attacks.

💠Berserker

Berserker is a passive Epic skill with no position limit that increases Physical Damage by 25% and Attack Speed by 25%, but reduces Energy Regeneration Speed by 75% and prevents the Immortal from activating Triggered Type skills. Because of the heavy Energy Regeneration penalty, it is best used on Immortals who do not rely on casting their ultimate normally. This is why Berserker is typically used on Alexander and Hannibal Barca, since their Exclusive Artifacts turn their ultimates into passive effects, allowing them to benefit from the Physical Damage and Attack Speed bonuses without being heavily affected by the reduced Energy Regeneration. It is less useful on Ares because he still relies on his ultimate, and Berserker slows it down significantly.

💠Number of Attacks Comparison

In battles averaging around one minute, Wind Rage produced substantially more total attack instances than Berserker when Wind Rage procs were added to Alexander’s normal attacks. Wind Rage averaged about 61.8 total attack instances per minute from normal attacks plus Wind Rage procs, while Berserker averaged about 31.7 normal attacks per minute. That means Wind Rage generated about 30 more attack instances per minute, or roughly 95% more total attack activity in this sample. This is especially important for Alexander because his performance benefits heavily from repeatedly landing normal attacks and activating effects tied to those attacks. Berserker still provides 25% Physical Damage and 25% Attack Speed, so its individual attacks can theoretically hit harder, but the testing shows that Wind Rage created a much higher volume of total attacks.

💠Damage Comparison

The damage results also favored Wind Rage. On raw average, Berserker’s Assembly Charge dealt about 3.45 million damage, while Wind Rage averaged about 5.99 million, putting Wind Rage roughly 74% higher. Berserker’s Cleave averaged about 2.61 million damage, while Wind Rage averaged about 5.43 million, giving Wind Rage roughly 108% more damage. When normalized to 60-second battles, the gap became even larger: Berserker averaged about 3.54 million Assembly Charge damage and 2.68 million Cleave damage per minute, while Wind Rage averaged about 8.73 million Assembly Charge damage and 7.94 million Cleave damage per minute. That works out to roughly 147% more Assembly Charge damage and 196% more Cleave damage for Wind Rage on a per-minute basis. In this sample, Berserker’s 25% Physical Damage bonus was not enough to overcome Wind Rage’s much higher attack frequency, and the extra attack activity translated into substantially stronger Cleave and Assembly Charge output.

💠Verdict

Wind Rage is the better choice for Alexander based on these tests. Berserker provides valuable 25% Attack Speed and 25% Physical Damage bonuses, but Wind Rage produced nearly twice as many total attack instances per minute while also dealing substantially more Cleave and Assembly Charge damage. Since Alexander benefits heavily from repeated normal attacks, Wind Rage provides better synergy, higher overall damage output, and stronger performance in battles averaging around one minute. Berserker is still a usable alternative, but when choosing strictly between these two skills for Alexander, Wind Rage is the clear winner.
