💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the Zuma Tower event, how its exploration system works, and whether chasing the higher floors is actually worth it. Zuma Tower gives players the choice between Free Exploration and Safe Exploration, but the probabilities, risk, and increasing Vision of Zuma requirements make the two approaches very different in practice. We’ll break down the chances of reaching Floor 7, compare Free and Safe Exploration, look at the value of Vision of Zuma bundles between the in-game shop and GTArcade, and estimate how much it takes to earn enough Mystic Ancient Coins to summon and fully develop a castle decoration skin.

💠Overview

Zuma Tower is an exploration-style reward event where each run starts on the first floor and allows players to move up or down through the tower. After each successful move, players can choose one reward from their current floor, but claiming a reward immediately ends that run and sends them back to the first floor for a new attempt. There are two exploration options: Safe Exploration and Free Exploration. Safe Exploration consumes Vision of Zuma, but a failed attempt leaves players on the same floor instead of dropping them, while Free Exploration does not consume Visions but carries the risk of losing floors. The first exploration of every run is always treated as Safe Exploration, while subsequent Safe Exploration attempts become increasingly expensive as players climb higher. If a Free Exploration causes a player to drop floors, they must claim a reward and end the current run before starting again. This makes Zuma Tower less about simply choosing the free option and more about deciding how much risk players are willing to accept while chasing the most valuable rewards.

💠Free Exploration

Using only Free Exploration after the first safe move, the chance of reaching Floor 7 in a single run is about 0.0103%, meaning it would take roughly 9,700 runs on average to reach Floor 7 once. Most runs begin on Floor 2 because the opening exploration gives +1 floor 96% of the time, while only 4% begin on Floor 3 with a +2 result. After that, each Free Exploration has only an 11% total chance of moving upward, consisting of a 10% chance for +1 floor and a 1% chance for +2 floors, while a floor drop effectively ends the attempt because the player must claim a reward. The biggest problem is that Free Exploration requires players to repeatedly succeed without suffering a single meaningful setback, causing the probability to collapse as they approach the upper floors. Free Exploration is therefore useful for players who are satisfied with lower-floor rewards and do not mind restarting frequently, but Floor 7 should be treated as an extremely unlikely bonus rather than a realistic progression strategy.

💠Safe Exploration

Safe Exploration completely changes the calculation because failed attempts no longer cause players to lose progress. The first exploration is already safe and gives +1 floor 96% of the time or +2 floors 4% of the time, so most players begin from Floor 2 with a small chance of starting on Floor 3. Afterward, every Safe Exploration still has only an 11% chance to move upward, with 10% for +1 floor and 1% for +2 floors, but unsuccessful rolls simply leave the player on the same floor. As a result, Floor 7 becomes effectively inevitable if a player is willing to continue spending Visions, with approximately 43 total Safe Exploration attempts required on average from Floor 1. However, 43 attempts does not mean 43 Vision of Zuma because the number of Visions required per Safe Exploration increases on the higher floors. Safe Exploration therefore removes most of the probability risk but replaces it with a steadily increasing resource cost, making it the practical option for players specifically targeting Floor 7 rather than those simply looking for inexpensive event rewards.

💠Cost and Value

The primary reason to reach Floor 7 is the reward of 1,200 Mystic Ancient Coins, which can be exchanged for castle decoration skins at 600 coins per copy. Fully developing a skin requires 11 copies, one to summon and ten more for development, for a total of 6,600 Mystic Ancient Coins. Five Floor 7 rewards provide only 6,000 coins, so players need to reach Floor 7 six times, yielding 7,200 coins and leaving 600 coins remaining afterward. The in-game Vision of Zuma packs provide 60, 120, 240, 360, and 640 Visions for $4.99, $14.99, $29.99, $49.99, and $99.99, while the equivalent GTArcade packs provide 70, 140, 280, 420, and 760 Visions at the same prices, making GTArcade consistently more efficient. If a Floor 7 clear requires roughly 1,300 to 1,500 Visions after accounting for the escalating Safe Exploration costs, six clears would require approximately 7,800 to 9,000 Visions. Using GTArcade packs, that places the estimated total around $885 to $1,035, compared with roughly $1,050 to $1,235 through the in-game shop. That is still a substantial investment, but players are receiving enough Mystic Ancient Coins to fully develop a castle decoration skin and retain 600 additional coins toward another one. For competitive players specifically chasing the PvP stats provided by castle decorations, Zuma Tower can therefore offer reasonable endgame value, while free-to-play and lower-spending players are better served by taking lower-floor rewards rather than trying to force repeated Floor 7 clears.

💠Summary

Free Exploration makes Floor 7 statistically unrealistic, while Safe Exploration turns it into a predictable but expensive progression goal. Players pursuing a fully developed castle decoration skin need six Floor 7 clears, with GTArcade providing noticeably better Vision of Zuma value than the in-game shop. Zuma Tower is therefore best suited to competitive players who specifically value the PvP stats from castle decorations rather than players simply looking for inexpensive event rewards.
