For two or three weeks, SFu had been preparing for AC or Alliance Conquest. We knew this season was important. Our first match went really, really bad. We played against a much stronger team, we were not synchronized and we made some mistakes. After the match, we looked at everything we did wrong and started preparing for the next one.

This time, we really needed that win. Two losses at the beginning of the tournament would be a disaster. No UC, no serious position in the tournament, and honestly, it would not look good for an alliance like SFu. We can ruin our reputation. Me as a council member I would not love to see that.

So, on the evening of reset, everyone was waiting. With who we matched? Who we need to fight with, to brake the ice? Then the match appeared. TQL, one of our old enemies, Perfect, TQL had been invading our Kingdoms for a long time. Their players liked jumping into our servers and causing problems, especially for our peaceful "farmers".

But there was another problem. And this one was much more interesting hehe, one of our former players was now playing for TQL. King Maximus.

Maximus had left SFu after a conflict with one of our players. Now he was on the other side and looks like he was very excited about this match. He had already been talking to some of his old “friends” in SFu. His messages ware basically screaming that he has hunger for revenge. He knew our tactics, he knew our strategies, he knew how we are preparing for AC. He knew which players were usually playing which troop types. And now he was going to use all that information against us. Honestly, that got our attention. But there wasn't much we could do, we had to play.

So we decided to do what SFu does best. Prepare and at least give the fair fithg, One small thing was changed before the match. Maximus is an Infantry player, and he knew very well that most of our strongest players were spears. But we had one little surprise. Beha. Beha was also mainly playing spear, but just a couple of days before, he made some changes, now he could play Cavalry, and not some ordinary cavs, he was pretty good looking cav player now. Beha is not an ordinary player. He is one of those players you really want on your side when things get serious. So we kept that little secret. Let Maximus prepare for the SFu he thought he knew.

The match started and almost immediately, King Maximus took the first Temple of the Mother. There he was. Sitting comfortably in his castle, waiting for our move, we didn't waste much time. We prepared ten rallies and sent the attacks to him. The first attempt failed, the voice was overcrowded, everybody screaming.... but ok, no problem, let's come down. We regrouped, prepared again. But this time we had a different plan. Everyone would attack and do as much damage as possible. And Beha would hit last. The final rally. The last piece of the puzzle. We launched, we speed up, our shoot callers were synhronized, everyone did their part.

And then our great Beha arrived.

Boom. The first real hit was ours. That was the moment we knew the match was going to be very different from our first AC. But it was far from over. They switch the gear too, the battle became a real back-and-forth fight. We took castles, they took castles. We lost some, they lost some. Neither side wanted to give anything away. TQL controlled King's Landing, while we focused on other castles. Everyone was waiting for the big moment. Waiting for the balloons to fall down. Waiting for someone to make the mistake that would open the door. Let's hope a lot of their player, who are holding a castles, have some troops in their homes, that is our easy target. And slowly, our little surprise started to matter. Beha's change from spear to cavalry gave us something TQL had not prepared for. They started losing ground. One by one, they began to pull back. But there was one player who refused to do it. King Maximus. He stayed. He would not leave his castle, also, if I can say, our dirty secret, we also did not wanted him gone, we damage him little by little, but never enought to kick out of his castle. His teammates kept reinforcing him. Again and again, I attacked him so many times that I honestly stopped counting hehe, maybe twenty. Maybe more.

At that point it was becoming personal. Every time I saw another reinforcement arrive at his castle, I thought, and I just hoped, that they will just send more and more.

After that, ofc, main thing, the mines, I have never been a good raicer, but now, I will give everthing to be there first. And yes, I got it, with our kind of reinforcement, you will never kick me out, hehe, well at least not TQL

I wanted to repay him for every invasion, every attack, every time TQL had come to our servers and disturbed our players, and most important of all, that he made a mistake leaving us. If I can be honest, yes, I would love to have him still by my side, that kind of stubbornness, I need it in my alliance.

But Maximus refused to break. He stayed there until the end. We finally took KL, or even better our Stanko took it :)

We won the battle. That was the important part. SFu had recovered from the first defeat. We had beaten TQL. We had shown that the first match was not what defined us.

Everyone was happy with our result and our elimination points.

And I was happy too. Well... almost happy. Because there was one thing missing. We had won the battle, but we had not managed to remove King Maximus from his castle. He was still there. Still standing. Still refusing to surrender. So I had this strange feeling. We had won... but I wanted just a little more. Then, after the match, a message arrived.

It said: You have improved. But we also have hidden cards. I just hope we meet again soon.

I read it.Then I smiled. I will let you to guess who can wrote message like that hehe,

The man who knew all our cards was now telling us that he still had some of his own hidden. Maybe he does. Maybe next time he will surprise us. But now he knows something too. SFu has changed. The alliance he left is not exactly the same alliance he remembers. We learned from our losses. We have new players. New strategies and apparently a few more hidden cards. So, King Maximus, if you really want to meet again, I think SFu will be ready.

And next time, I hope you leave that castle. Because attacking the same castle twenty times was exhausting.

But I can do it again hehe, all night looong baby hehe
