Illusion Battlefield: Structural Analysis of AWG vs SKY
💠Introduction
Hello friends! This is a structural analysis of the Illusion Battlefield match between AWG and SKY on Server 136. Although both alliances operate as partners, allies, and family within the same server, this match served as a controlled environment to evaluate rotation, occupation, and pressure. The purpose of this article is not to highlight rivalry, but to identify tactics in map control execution that shapes the future statistical outcomes.
In this guide, we'll go over the core mechanics of Illusion Battlefield, and what to do.

💠Overview
This match was not a rivalry. It was a friendly but competitive match between two alliances on the same server. AWG and SKY entered Illusion Battlefield to test occupation, rotation, and pressure. The result reflects differences in execution, not differences in player strength. Although server 136 is known for its many strong and top tier players, the mid players (middle) are just as active and very essential to every battle. Illusion Battlefield reflects objectives play, organization, and so much more than can be translated into other aspects of the game.
Anything can happen at any given moment, it is up to not only the average players, but also the leaders to think and react.
💠Towers
Tower occupation defines the structure of the match. It is how you get points (violet breath) to win the match. AWG’s occupation time indicates they controlled the map for most of the match. SKY’s shorter duration shows they were responding to pressure rather than applying it.
There are four towers total, barring the central tower. There is one tower in front of each team's spawn, otherwise known as ‘home tower'. This tower is the most essential, next to the central tower.
Central Tower is not optional. It is what can make or break momentum in Illusion Battlefield. Holding it gives the most points, and holding all towers (excluding altars) gives your team a buff that boosts Violet Breath Output. AWG’s 28-minute hold created a sustained advantage that shaped the entire match. SKY never got a chance for this buff window, which removed any possibility of a mid-match reversal.
💠Altars
Altars are a very tricky subject. There are some debates amongst the veteran community about their usefulness. Are they useful or are they a waste of time?
The true answer is quite simple, in all honesty. Altars are useful, but they should never be your main priority! The Altars do not give violet breath points. The whole point of the Altars is to give a stealth function for your castle when relocating to somewhere else within the map.
This can be used tactically for offensive strategies to take more towers. It can also be used defensively to protect essential towers.
My advice? Utilize these Altars only in the early and mid-game, anything after will be a waste of time and players!
💠PvP
PvP is obviously essential in many game modes, but it works a bit differently in Illusion Battlefield. The only information you usually have about your enemy is their strongest troop march strength. But…looks can be deceiving!
You can fight however long you want, but the duration of the match is only one hour. The objectives (towers) go hand-in-hand with PvP. You should always be fighting over an objective, not somewhere far off in the middle of nowhere!
However, troops are not unlimited in this game mode. It is possible to ‘drain’ your enemy by wounding their troops! This is where rallies come in handy. You do not always have to launch a solo attack by your lonesome. Your team is there to help you, so lean on them!
💠Summary
Despite the score, both sides fought an intensive battle. AWG’s tactics and strategies really pulled their side together. All it can take is one mistake and your plan will have you falling short of victory. This can be applied to other aspects of the game, such as Legion of Frostborne, Alliance Supremacy, and more.
Do not try to be a solo act, stick to whatever plan your leaders have set, stick together, and be open to feedback! This will allow you to learn and grow.
Thanks for reading and remember to stay smiling friends!
