Welcome, lords and ladies. We were approaching another Kingdom vs. Kingdom (KvK) event. The silence that blanketed Westeros would soon be broken by the sounds of battles to come! This edition offered an extra incentive that stirred my blood: a fifteen percent bonus on battle tokens would make every kill even more rewarding. Yet, the price of defeat would be steep. Unlike those editions blessed by the Lord of Light, this time, fallen soldiers would not return. Every death would be final! The risk was high, but the reward would be worth it. That is why I truly longed for a balanced matchup and battles worth fighting. KvK events where everyone stayed huddled under their bubbles were tedious... far from content with merely farming resources, I craved fire and blood!

The landscape in K113 remained much the same, but the KvK event prompted us to set old rivalries aside. Klim and LoLO, who were also based in the kingdom and frequently attacked members of the GtC alliance, would now fight alongside us to secure victory for our realm. KvK demanded unity above all rivalry; regardless of past clashes, victory for K113 was the shared goal! The cold war would remain on hold until the event ended. Afterward... we would resume our internal wars!

As the start of the event drew near, I began my preparations. I executed a few prisoners from the Hall of Faces to secure the Hall of Faces bonus and captured my Level 60 lord. I set aside my FDH alliance banner, as flying the colors of a major alliance might intimidate enemy players right from the start, causing them to stay safely under their protective bubbles. Furthermore, by flying the GtC banner, I could use a few alt accounts to support any mobilizations. Then, I scoured the kingdom in search of unprotected castles for the infamous purge! Leaving troops undefended before KvK started meant handing free points to the opposing kingdom... I wasn't going to let that happen! Without a shred of mercy, I burned down all the accounts that had let their guard down.

As the reset approached, I slipped into the shadows! Then, the Old Gods determined the kingdom matchmaking: Kingdom K470 would be our opponent. Wasting no time, I crossed the borders to scout enemy territory during the thirty minutes before the actual clashes began. I quickly spotted a few accounts from the LEG alliance near King's Landing, but the kingdom's main force was the [56q] alliance. They were completely unknown to me; I had no information whatsoever about the members of that clan. Even though they weren't a renowned alliance in GoT WiC, I knew I had to be cautious...

Instead of moving to capture King's Landing or any other Major City, I decided to remain hidden in the shadows (albeit close to King's Landing) and watch for any movement. The minutes ticked by, yet no force revealed itself. The active players were doing nothing more than gathering resources under the protection of their bubbles. The battles I so eagerly awaited remained out of reach.

Time dragged on, and boredom was taking over the map (and me too, lol), but then the Gods finally smiled upon me, offering a gift! While monitoring the area around KL, I spotted an undefended castle. The target was Lord Patriarx. Being cautious, I sent scouts to spy on his defenses and confirm it wasn't a trap. When the report came back, I got another pleasant surprise. Nearly eight million troops were guarding the castle. Furthermore, Lord Patriarx was using a bleed-based formation, similar to mine, but less efficient. True, aside from Sinara, the enemy also had Rhea (who triggers critical hits) and Barret (who also inflicts bleed). But compared to my formation (boosted by Jon Snow and all my gear) I held a significant advantage. At least, that’s what I told myself to psych myself up for the attack!

Without hesitation, I launched my attack from a safe distance; I didn't want to be caught off guard by any scouts. Pushing my troops hard, I quickly advanced toward the enemy castle. The first strike inflicted heavy losses on Patriax, though it wasn't enough to wipe out the entire garrison. Without wasting time, I moved to a new coordinate to calmly assess the battle report. I had lost 66,000 Tier 4 troops, while the enemy saw over 2 million soldiers decimated. Satisfied, I healed my troops and launched my second attack!

With their meat shield already weakened, this attack was even more devastating. I didn't lose a single Tier 4 unit, whereas the enemy suffered over 3 million casualties! All resistance had already been wiped out. My third attack was the final blow! The last of the enemy soldiers perished, and Lord Patriarx ended up imprisoned in my dungeons. I celebrated these kills enthusiastically, as I managed to secure a significant number of battle tokens and took the lead in the individual KvK rankings.

I went back to scouting both Kingdoms, keeping my distance from the major cities. Soon, a real challenge appeared: a GtC member's gathering nodes. The account belonged to Lord CREEPY. A quick analysis revealed that this would be a complicated battle. With nearly 2 billion in power and archer-focused battle gear, the castle likely held a significant number of defensive troops. An archer trap always posed a risk. During the last KvK, no-death kvk, I had tested my attacks and struggled greatly, even when launching rallies reinforced by my allies. On the surface, this account didn't seem like a massive threat, as it lacked a female synergy formation or even a 4-star Melisandre. Still, a solo attack would be risky... in fact, it would be suicide for my infantry!

Thus, the only alternative was to launch a rally. It was a risky move, as it would leave me exposed to a direct attack; with my Lord mobilized, I would be extremely vulnerable. Despite my apprehension, I initiated the rally. The tension was immense. I quickly used one of my alt accounts to help fill the rally and called for support from my fellow GtC members. Unfortunately, few members were online at the time, and I received far fewer infantry reinforcements than I had hoped. As time ticked by, the tension mounted; those five minutes felt like an eternity. At any moment, my screen could flash red! Just as the rally was about to launch, Lord CREEPY jumped to a distant coordinate. It would take my troops nearly 15 minutes to reach the enemy castle! Was this an enemy strategy to launch a counter-attack using another account?

Minutes ticked by until CREEPY teleported again, and the rally slammed into his walls! The battle was intense! Arrows filled the sky as my troops pushed forward against enemy resistance. When the report came in, the victory was mine!

On our side, we lost 280k T4 troops... while Lord CREEPY saw over 1.4 million T4 archers wiped out! Even so, the enemy defenses worked as planned; his massive meat shield absorbed much of the damage before I could reach his T5 soldiers. Nevertheless, the battle secured even more points for my individual ranking, a wealth of tokens, and points to bolster K113's dominance on the kvk leaderboard!

After these battles, silence returned to the map. No enemy players appeared to contest KL or any other city, despite some taunts in the chat. And soon enough, KvK lapsed back into monotony! When the timer ran out, victory belonged to our kingdom.
