HOH vs IlI | Alliance Conquest | Match 3 |

A grand start to the season was the one faced by House of Heroes in Alliance Conquest.

After a tense clash against OBV where they managed to snatch the final victory, in the following second round of the season they managed to overpower PHX bringing their record to two wins out of two matches!

Neik was fully satisfied with the progress of the season, the group absolutely wanted to secure a ticket to play the final phase of the competition against the best sixteen alliances of the kingdom, and at this pace it was not a mirage for them.

‘’Who knows who we will face today’’ he thought doubtfully during the wait while deployed on the battlefield. The members of HOH had arrived in large numbers today to face the third round and while they waited for the arrival of the mysterious rivals, they were busy with the last preparations.

A few minutes before the start of the match, on the horizon, an imposing army made its appearance…

Fate put TheGreyArmy on their path!

The rival alliance was without a doubt of very high level, also a strong candidate to rank among the best sixteen at the end of alliance conquest. Led by the incredible AnushkA, BaR and SpirrA, they would certainly be a hard obstacle for HOH to overcome today.

‘’It will be a surely balanced match, we must pay a lot of attention to reinforcing the buildings under our control very quickly’’ was Neik’s thought, knowing the offensive strength of the rivals.

‘’In past seasons we had quite a few difficulties against them where they also managed to overpower us’’ the members of the leadership recalled ‘’but today our organization is superior, we are convinced that it will lead us to victory’’ they concluded the speech showing great confidence in their companions who would lead them in the upcoming battle.

The heat of the sun shining high above their heads was being felt. The air was tense and the breaths of the deployed fighters heavy, the painful wait of the sixty minutes of clash was used to sharpen their swords and spears.

Start of the Match

When the awaited clash began, it was immediately one of the two alliances to have the better start… it was HOH!

The capture of three out of four available buildings put them on the right path immediately forcing their rivals to take the initiative… and so it was!

TheGreyArmy, taking advantage of a not excellent swap by their rivals, managed to intercept and immediately capture Mother’s Temple bringing the score to two buildings each side.

It was however for them a bittersweet result because almost at the same time, the rally leaders of HOH launched the siege of Lannister Outpost managing to overpower the defender thanks to the strength of R0nY.

In the following minutes, BaR and his teammates decided to assault with rallies Warrior under the control of BloodWick, an ambitious target taking aim at one of the strongest fighters in the ranks of HOH. When the attacks landed… they were surprisingly effective!

The move of TheGreyArmy was really clever: not only did they manage to capture the building where HOH reinforcements were not sufficient, but they also showed they could stand against fighters like BloodWick who with the few reinforcements available did his best but could not maintain control of the position.

It was however once again, a bitter conquest for them…!

Taking inspiration from the match played against OBV, HOH’s strategy was to respond blow for blow, as soon as a building fell into enemy hands, Neik and his teammates managed to assault another almost simultaneously and this time it was Mother’s Temple.

A start of clash between the two alliances with fireworks and without restraint but the result close to the opening of the ports always saw HOH protecting their advantage of three buildings to one.

‘’Let’s capture the ports and put pressure on their shoulders’’ was the message spread by the leadership bringing the attention of their racers to the upcoming buildings.

Opening of the Ports

When the ports opened… HOH managed to capture both of them!

The great speed shown by BloodWick and LUNG brought their alliance into a lead of five buildings to one. The members of TheGreyArmy saw the gap in score between the two alliances start to grow more and more and they absolutely had to do something.

To stop the rivals’ escape, BaR and his teammates decided to assault Targaryen Outpost in possession of JackTheToad. When they landed… once again they were effective showing that the offensive strength of the group was of high level.

HOH’s response however did not take long with the group targeting Warrior. After a series of ruthless attacks, it finally fell with Lilya F who had to surrender to the strength of Xoica and his Spear-Weakness formation which despite being countered by the enemy Inf-Bleeding, managed to prevail proving to be yet another hit landed in the space of a few moments.

‘’We are playing a great match’’ Neik thought even though he was bitter about not managing to resist the enemy sieges.

‘’As long as we replace the lost buildings with others, the result will remain favorable to us’’ Ferrious told him highlighting how HOH’s greater organization was proving effective on IlI.

But a surprise move was put into action by the rivals…!

When everyone seemed to be waiting for the imminent opening of Casterly Rock, BaR and his teammates with very fast and effective assaults managed to snatch control of Mother’s Temple again from HOH’s hands.

‘’It doesn’t matter, we keep focus high to capture the next building, it is without doubt more important’’ was the strategy decided by the leadership leaving therefore a gap to close the score difference which would become terribly large in case of CR capture by the rivals.

Casterly Rock

When Casterly Rock became available… it was TheGreyArmy who obtained control of it!

The speed of SpirrA proved devastating reaching the objective first and capturing it for his group.

A match that seemed destined to end very quickly, at this point seemed to have changed direction with IlI who had started to gain more points per minute than HOH who absolutely had to run for cover if they did not want to see the good start of the match thrown away like this.

To bring the course back on the path more favorable to them, Neik and his teammates gathered allied troops and launched rallies directed towards Targaryen Outpost previously conquered by Malvia. Despite their advantage being significant, not wasting time was essential for them and while waiting for the bubble protecting CR they decided to siege this building.

When the allied rallies landed… it was Neik himself who proved decisive taking control from the rivals!

A decision taken by TheGreyArmy however caught them by surprise!

Trying to recover after the fall of Targaryen Outpost, the rival faction decided to assault Warrior under the defense of Xoica aware of the imminent attacks coming on Casterly Rock by HOH.

The attempt however was not enough to overcome the HOH defender who thanks to allied support with waves of troops arriving, managed to repel every incoming offensive!

‘’An incredible defense, well done!’’ Neik congratulated his ally.

One of the decisive moments of the match was when the bubble protecting Casterly Rock fell…!

The battle for its conquest for Neik and his teammates however was less difficult than expected.

The offensive strength of HOH, in contrast with the poor defensive organization of IlI, to which were added the buffs coming from the possession of Warrior and the Outposts, were an extra gear for the troops who attacked the defenses in Casterly Rock which inevitably fell.

A hard blow for TheGreyArmy who saw their dreams of glory moving further away and attempted a desperate move to stop HOH’s escape…

With single attacks directed at the building just lost moments before, under Neik’s control, they tried again to surprise HOH’s defenses, but failed. The defense of the position was easy for him thanks to the amount of troops in his advantage in clashes against the rivals who kept assaulting without pause.

A dominance on the battlefield map that spoke for itself.

Once Casterly Rock fell and after some weak attempts, TheGreyArmy leadership essentially threw in the towel even before the opening of the mines which at that point would not have been enough to reverse the outcome of a third round heavily in favor of HOH. Neik and his teammates therefore did nothing but wait for the natural end of the clash.

At the end of the sixty minutes of battle, the final victory went to… HOH!

MVP’s

The best fighters of the match were: BloodWick for HOH and AnnushkA for IlI. Both fighters were certainly the most feared in the rival ranks with unmatched offensive strength that left trails of bodies in their path. If for one it was enough to lead his allies to triumph, for the other it was a bitter consolation with the opposite outcome.

‘’We were really effective in countering our rivals’ strategies by continuing to put pressure on them. We must continue with this spirit for the rest of the season!’’ was the message from HOH leadership before saying goodbye to their companions to return to their kingdoms.

‘’I was expecting a completely different level match’’ Neik confided to his allies during the march in K345. In past seasons clashes against TheGreyArmy were much more balanced so the HOH member was surprised by such a one-sided battle despite sporadic events.

‘’It must be said that from previous matches we have improved a lot and high-level allies have joined our ranks, maybe as a group today we are superior again’’ Ferrious replied to his ally.

A three out of three that had not been seen for a long time for HOH. Will they continue this winning streak in the next round or will fate have something else in store for them? We will find out together!
