Hello lords and ladies! Welcome to another chapter of my adventures in GoT Winter is Coming!
This time, the atmosphere was different. I still carried the bitter taste of the early elimination in the Siege of Winterfell (or was it Siege of the Dragon? lol). Two heavy defeats: against BDR and RoD, they took away any chance of the playoffs before we even got going. It wasn't just one defeat: it was one of those that stays in your head, making you revisit every decision, every move… and think about where things could have been different.
With that, I found myself in a rare moment: without an immediate objective. Something unusual.
I had already finished my 4 million Tier 5 points for the next Alliance Conquest season—which, by the way, was already starting to appear on the horizon as a new promise of chaos. But until then… there was a void. And void, in this game, is synonymous with opportunity.
That's when the idea came to me. Why not cause a little chaos?
Phase 6 of Lord of Lords was on the horizon, and I was already in Kingdom 196. A terrain I knew well… perhaps too well. Some castles there had crossed my path before—and, as I mentioned in the previous story, many of them ended up becoming more than just neighbors. They were constant sources of resources… and, mainly, gold. :D
But this time it would be different. With the new LoL rules, it wasn't enough to just show up in the final stages. Consistency from the beginning was necessary. Participating from phase 1, building a score, ensuring presence in all stages. No shortcuts.
So I did the basics. The necessary. My score up to that point kept me close to the top of the ranking. Unfortunately, I didn't score much in the research phase. After unlocking the T5 troops, I avoided any other type of research that would greatly increase my power. This way, I could jump between kingdoms at a lower cost.
Constant gathering, ongoing research, aligned constructions, troops being trained without pause. Rebels felled at the right pace. Everything as expected… until it wasn't anymore. Because eventually, the event demands more. And that moment always arrives. Other players in the kingdom desperately longed for Sabrina's medals.
Of course, not everything was in my favor. I didn't have access to the Hall of Faces buffs: I didn't have any HOF in K196 to make things easier. It was a real limitation, especially in more balanced confrontations.
But… advantage was never a prerequisite. I observed the map. I waited. I analyzed patterns. Before phase 6, the bubbles of some castles fell, and I remained on the lookout without any confrontation in order to reserve those deaths for a more important moment. Unfortunately, many hunters from other kingdoms came (and without any mercy) decimated those troops simply for the desire for merit (and blood!) :P
But I remained patient! And as before… I found opportunities when phase 6 began!
Unprotected castles, predictable movements, players relying too much on routine. And in the midst of all this, some level 60 lords leaving room for error. That was enough. Because, in the end, it's not about having all the advantages. It's about knowing exactly when to act.
Lord Shinjyou was the first to fail! The men were restless. Not from the cold, nor from hunger, but from the silence. Only the weight of something about to happen. I walked among them, feeling the gaze of each soldier in my infantry. I ordered them to hold their positions at all costs! And then I ordered our troops to advance. The clash was brutal. Swords met, shields shattered, men screamed! And then the battle was won. But the war… no. Phase 6 was only beginning…

Lord Aegon II's next castle offered no resistance! The impact was clean. With that, the message began to spread. K196 was no longer passive territory.

It was the third castle where things would change. Lord Sir Gusse's bubble collapsed at the most opportune moment (at least for me, lol). I sent scouts under cover of night, moving quickly and silently, almost invisible. The castle was in the center of King Louisville. Any carelessness could be fatal. We never know who might be watching the kingdom. From hunter, I could become the hunted!
The report didn't take long, but every second of waiting weighed heavily. When it finally arrived, it alerted me! The number of troops was significant. Yet Lord Sir Gusse's defensive wall was disorganized! But 15 million troops in a single-target attack would be a challenge!

I decided to take the risk. The attack was launched. The enemy army was challenging. Not strong enough to hold, but enough to inflict losses on me. Still, the exchange was worth it.
Retreating at that moment would have been the safest course of action for many. But the event doesn't reward those who play it too safe. I maintained the pressure for another attack.
Even with the loss of T4 troops, 27k soldiers was insignificant!

Without mercy, I launched the second attack. This time, only 10,000 soldiers were lost on my side. Meanwhile, on the enemy side, the defenses began to crumble. Over 6 million dead!
My last attack was devastating. The wall crumbled faster than I expected. The defensive line tried to react, but it was already disorganized. The combat wasn't long, but it was intense enough to make it clear: that castle wasn't prepared to withstand my attack. I maintained the pressure. No retreat, no giving space. The last troops fell, the resistance vanished, and the warning confirmed what I already knew even before it appeared on the screen. The lord was captured. It was a message. And now… everyone in K196 knew.

Those deaths put me almost at the top of the rankings. But most importantly for me, I secured my red tokens. My quest now to awaken an F5 commander was my only desire. This is a long road I will have to travel, but I will remain patient. And may there be more phase 6s in future LoL (in this realm or any other)!
