The day was almost coming to an end. The sky was getting darker and darker, and our camp, in the middle of the forest, was becoming colder by the minute. While I was drinking a good beer in my tent, I heard my men talking and celebrating. The reason is that after many calm days, we finally had a new target on our path, and we were all excited.

We had been riding for about eight days when we received coordinates that completely changed the course of our journey. At first, I was not happy, because every time I receive new coordinates, I have to stop, set up camp, and send a spy into the kingdom to scout the castle and gather the necessary information. I cannot move again until the scout returns, and many times, the targets are already empty, which makes me waste a large amount of time.

But this time it was different.

Three castles from the FBB alliance were unprotected in Kingdom 304, and the only information my scouts had was that they were intact. They had never been attacked, which meant they could be full of troops inside. That was the perfect opportunity to break the long drought of battles and earn millions of merit points. I was ready for that!

We began our journey toward Kingdom 304. My men were singing so loudly that they could be heard from miles away. I had never seen them so euphoric. That was our chance to seek redemption and show the world that our strength remained unbeatable. We would use those battle reports as proof of our glory. Everyone would hear the stories about that invasion.

After a long night, we finally arrived in enemy territory. I was so eager that I almost launched the first attack without reviewing my presets and organizing the strategy. I could feel that something great was waiting for me, but I needed to follow protocol. I checked my troops, reviewed my preset, activated all the necessary buffs, jumped to a strategic location, and finally launched the first attack.

“Gentlemen, bring destruction upon our enemies. I want everyone to hear the sound of our horses and our swords.”

Everyone in that kingdom thought it was just another peaceful and quiet day when, suddenly, a sound began to rise from the hills. A farmer shouted:

“Take cover! We are under attack!”

But it was already too late. My cavalry marched toward Trez, and when they arrived, the sound of the wall collapsing was almost deafening. Trez was defending with a mixed formation, but the vast majority of his soldiers were cavalry. Even so, it was not enough. He lost 4.7 million men in a matter of minutes, while my losses were only 26 thousand. It was a small first victory, but one with great meaning.

When my men returned, I could see the smiles on their faces. Their swords were covered in blood, and their bodies had no wounds. It had been an impressive victory with almost no losses. We were ready to march and bring chaos to the second target.

In the second attack, my men had a little more difficulty and needed more time to eliminate all the defending troops in Trez’s secondary castle, but they still returned with a great victory.

This time, my cavalry faced a bow castle with four million troops. It was a low number, still far from being considered a trap, but it still cost the lives of nearly seventy-seven thousand of my men. On the other hand, we managed to eliminate almost his entire army.

My men were proud of what they were doing. Both castles were burning, and chaos in the kingdom was spreading like fire. One of my men shouted:

“This kingdom is ours now, Lord Phantom is the new king!”

Up to that moment, everything was under control. We had defeated two targets, and the third was still within our sight when one of my commanders warned me that there was another hunter in that kingdom. That completely changed the energy of my army. It was like throwing water on a fire.

We did not know how long that hunter had been in the kingdom. I also did not know if I was stealing his targets, but to be honest, I did not care. I healed all the troops in my hospital and attacked the third target before something bad could happen.

That was another important victory for my army, which eliminated more than 2.8 million troops while losing fewer than 20 thousand men during the battle. As soon as everyone returned, I quickly changed my location to avoid being attacked by surprise.

I went to check the merit ranking to see who the hunter was. His name was CGFathom, from the FuK alliance. His power was low, around one billion, perfect for hunting, but his merit was very low. I did not know exactly what he was doing there. I did not know if he was a new merit hunter or if he was there because he was a friend of the alliance that controlled that kingdom, but I was going to find out. I spent almost an hour analyzing every movement around King’s Landing. If he attacked those castles, I would know he was there hunting. If he did nothing, I would know he was probably there in a friendly way.

After 30 minutes, I was already starting to feel very tired and ready to close the game. Then, after almost 40 minutes, the three castles activated their protection bubbles. I did not know exactly what that meant, so I began looking at the other great cities.

All the other great cities seemed just as quiet and calm. There was no one in Winterfell, and no one in Casterly Rock either. I even checked Highgarden, but there was no sign of life there. Then I found a small hive in Harrenhal, and two castles without protection were there. Immediately, I reactivated all the buffs, parked my castle next to the target, and launched the first attack.

The first attack was a complete success, even though my target was using battle equipment. In total, my army eliminated 4.7 million men and earned 6.5 million merit points. That invasion was bringing far more profit than we had imagined. We were finally reclaiming our glory.

I quickly healed my troops and launched the second attack. The target was large, and the castle next to it was even larger. So I needed to be fast before they could activate their protection bubble.

The second battle lasted much longer than expected. I was starting to get worried and wondered what was happening. Something very strange was going on.

When the fight finally ended, the battlefield fell into complete silence, but we could feel that something in the air was different. We all looked at each other, asking what was happening. The sky suddenly became cloudy, and a light rain began to fall. Then we heard the roar of a dragon. Someone was coming for us.

My army fell into panic. Everyone tried to hide, but it was already too late.

We were ambushed; it was a trap. CGFathom knew that the two castles were without a bubble and was simply waiting to attack me when I was vulnerable. And it worked. I was completely destroyed.

That attack was devastating. My army was reduced to ashes. I did not know what to do. Just moments earlier, we had been celebrating the recovery of our glory, and only a few minutes later, they were all on the battlefield, being killed one by one. Not a single man survived.

That battle report quickly spread, and it did not take long before I started receiving all kinds of messages. My friends offered help, and, of course, my enemies were celebrating. I was speechless, with no reaction. I did not know what to do. At the same time that I thought about revenge, I also thought that it might be time to accept that my defeat had finally come.

The journey back home was silent. I spent the entire trip looking at the ground, replaying everything that had happened. I was alone, traumatized, just me and my horse, riding for long hours.

I do not know how things will unfold from now on, but one thing I am certain of: FuK will pay!
