For anyone new here, I will present the Glorious Battle event in a short description.
The map contains 3 factions, Shadowbane(pink), Tempest(orange) and Longhreach(green). Each faction is composed of 1 seed alliance and other smaller alliances. The goal is to capture buildings, which unlock after certain objectives have been met, and to reach the center, where Glory City lies. It is not only a battle of strength , but of speed as well, as the faster faction has priority in declaring war on buildings. The end goal of the event is to capture the Glory City and defend it until the event reaches its end.
There are more maps that the event is played on, but for this particular map the three seed alliances that were chosen to face each other are: RiseofDragons [RoD], TheBloodsRemember[BDR] and WhatBigTeeth[RHH]. Even though RRH might look like the weaker of the three, they were paired with NBe. Lets see if this will manage to turn the tides in their favour.

Us, shadowbane faction , are ready to take on the challenge and prove our worth in the battle. We are here to play hard and show that Dragons can burn everything in their path.
As the first day starts, we go and take the first buildings, which are crucial for the economy of the faction, as the Merchants help produce wheat, used in the updating of the buildings. The Military city provides us additional battle horns and bugles so we can do more actions on the map and increase our presence. It is very important to upgrade them as fast as possible. As factions can't interact with each other for the moment, due to the Gates not being open, it is a slow start and everyone gets a chance to establish themselves.

As the second day commences , we are ready to race against the other faction for one of the most crucial buildings in the map. The Fortresses, they not only grant access to the Depot Buffs but also they are used to send armies from shorter distances, which helps our main fighters to last longer in combat. As the reset strikes, the race starts. First we run to the Gates, on both sides, as we are trying to extend our presence on the map on both sides. Both other factions decide to do the same move. Now it's a battle of who manages to capture their gates faster, as that will give priority to declare on the Fortresses in between each faction's Gates.
We are all watching the hundreds of marches gallop throughout the map to their destination. It is a close call , as all factions are very active. In the West, it looks like we manage to secure the Gate and declare on the Fortress between us and Tempest. As we watch the North of the map, we see that there is a close race between us and Longreach. Our marches start stacking into the gate, the timer shortens more and more for us. We manage to capture the north side of the map as well!

And as such we managed to grab the 2 Track Depots. This is going to help our marches reach their destination faster, which will make our pressure on the map stronger than all the others. Longreach also managed to outspeed Tempest and captured the Fortress in between them and Tempest. Will Tempest recover from losing access to these crucial buffs?
As factions are now able to engage with each other, Tempest makes the first move and declares war on Longreach's buffs Fortress. We are there to capitalize on their move! We decide to push further into Tempest territory and we declare war on their Gate.By capturing it gives us a great way to defend our buffs from them, as it will give us a buffer zone.
The battle starts! We rush down towards our enemies, ready to take their Gate! We expected a big fight, but it seems that Tempest decides to sacrifice their Gate for fighting for the Fortress. This results in us having a successful siege. As the main battle moves from us to the East side of the map, it seems that Longreach is failing in defending against Tempest and now their Track Depot is in danger. Even with a slower start, Tempest is gaining map pressure against Longreach. Will Longreach respond to this or try to fight us for access to Depots?
It seems they decided to answer and declare war to take back their Fortress. Seeing this opportunity, we decide to pressure Tempest even more. We declare on their M. Merchant City and prepare to see if they can manage to defend both buildings at the same time.
The battle starts! And the first to fight through the enemy's reinforcements is the mighty UR CaNDY. He slashes through their defence with ease, making a path for our reinforcements to stack inside the city.

We manage to take advantage of the fact that Tempest wants to maintain their position on the map against Longreach and capture the M. Merchant.
As we have it now, we can declare on their middle Fortress, which will allow us to completely block them from having access to the middle of the map. We declare! And such we get ready to neutralise them from being a threat in this event. But as easy as that sounds, it proves harder to do… Tempest being into their territory has the resilience and short march time advantages over us, so we decide that, as the battle starts, we are going to use the Fortress to quickly deploy our heavy hitters. The battle commences! But Tempest is not going to let us get their building this time. They defend it with all their might and manage to stop our advance in their territory. We had a great start, and hoped to keep it. We don’t let this failure set us back! We try again!...and…we fail...again…
This way Tempest manages to keep their presence on the map, and still have a chance to compete for the middle city. We learned our limits, it is not going to be an easy fight once the middle of the map opens. But we will not let ourselves be discouraged by this! We will be ready to regain the same overwhelming attendance we had at the start.
As the days go by, the time for the most important race is here! The middle Gates will open and with them The L. Merchants and L. Militaries are going to be unlocked. They are the best buildings for the economy, as they grant the most resources for us to keep our pressure on the map. Not only that, but by having access to the L. Military means having access to the endgoal, the Glory City.
We get ready, and as the reset strikes, we start declaring on the middle Gate. All the other factions do the same. Who will be the fastest? Let’s see! Marches are flowing through the map from all 3 sides. They make a mesmerizing spectacle to watch, all factions putting their best efforts in capturing the buildings as fast as possible. We watch as the timers are very close for all 3 factions, the difference of seconds can make or break the gameplay and turn us from a clear win to a loss.
It seems we are faster than Tempest, but slower than Longreach. As a difference of 10 seconds gives Longreach priority to grab the north and south L. Merchants and L. Militaries. It is a great way for them to get back in the game, as they will now have more resources available than us. Fortunately , we successfully get the West side of the middle. We got overconfident with our first race, and underestimated the might of Longreach…a harsh lesson we have to learn. Lets hope it is not going to be a critical mistake on our part.
Now it’s a matter of playing well the middle part of the map until the Glory City opens.
We decide to fight Longreach for the north side of the map, but Tempest capitalizes on that and declares war on our middle buildings. We are now in trouble, as we want to take some strength from Longreach, but we can’t afford to lose ours. What should we do? Give up on ours and focus on Longreach? If we successfully take their buildings, it will just shift our presence on the map, while Longreach will lose some pressure, it will allow Tempest to become once again a threat.
With all this in mind we decide to focus on defending our side, as that will keep us and longreach as lone contesters for the Glory City. After the fights, it was as we wanted. We successfully defended our buildings but as expected, we didn’t manage to take any building from Longreach.

The final act of the event is coming soon. The opening of Glory City.
We need to be the first to declare on it, as it will give us the advantage of being the defendants. If we fail to get to the Glory City first, we will have to attack , and will leave us open to attacks from Tempest and Longreach while we try to fight for the Glory City.
The reset comes once again, and it seems we are the fastest, as the timer shows our faction declaration. We capture the City and from here we look like the Victors of the event. Will it be true? There are 2 days left, in which we will have to fight to keep our buildings and defend the Glory City. Since it takes 10 hours for a fight to start after the declaration, it seems we will have to defend a maximum of 4 times.
But time passes, and Longreach is silent, they have not declared war on the Glory City yet…Have they given up? The answer is no as a few hours later the war declaration pops over the Glory City. Most probably they waited so long because they wanted to have the fight at a time when they are able to have better attendance. It is a wise move, but that will limit the attempts they will have on fighting us for the Middle City.
It seems that Tempest noticed the timer of the declaration and now they are going to fight us for the L Military. We are in a tough spot as now we will be getting attacked on both sides…and we can’t afford to lose any of the two buildings.Losing the Glory City will put us in a tough spot, but losing the L. Military will ruin our chances to reach the Glory City. What should we do?
The fight starts, it is bloody, despite our best efforts, we are not strong enough to fight the overwhelming force of a two sided attack. We lose both Glory city and access to it as we lose the L. Military as well. It is a major setback, from which we do not know if we will recover. But the event is not over…we have to try our best, and this time, our best has to be enough!
We declare first, on the North L. Military , deciding to take on the Longreach faction! Fortunately Tempest doesn’t notice and they do not launch another attack. As we need to have options in case we fail, around half an hour before the battle for the green side starts, we decide to declare war on Tempest’s L. Military. They do respond this time and launch a counterattack on our Gate.
We manage to secure the L. Military from Longreach, which puts us back in the game!
We also manage to take back the L. Military back from Tempest, while defending our Gate! As it looks now, we are back on our path to victory!
Now it’s time to declare on Glory City again! And fight for the last chance to get first place!
Seeing this, Tempest decided to attack us again on L. Military. But this time, we are not forced to defend , since we are having another path to the Glory City through the north side. And so, the final battle starts, hundreds of marches start raining from the Shadowbane Fortress and descend towards the middle city. As a strategy, our heavy hitters, like Candy, Ana, B3nni, Meridianos and Strike decide to send their marches from the closest Fortress. This way we should be able to clean up most of their defence before our own marches start stacking in the Glory City. The plan is there, but will it all go accordingly?

The battle begins! Our strongest deploy from the fortress, while the others send the might off all their armies from the Shadowbane Fort.Once the marches reach the Glory city, it looks like Longreach stacked a massive defence, and their reinforcements are also on the way. The whole battlefield is caught in the dance of troops, a chaotic scene.

As it looks like we are starting to even up the score, Longreach defence is not going under 600 marches, and ours is not going above that number either. It’s an evenly matched fight!

The fight goes longer, marches pour inside the Glory City from both sides, but it doesn’t matter…the time is running out, and with it, our chances to recapture the city grow slimmer. With half of the timer being gone, we start to dwindle, as our attack is getting weaker.
While Longreach manages to keep their defence steady, we lose fire power, our marching bugles running thin, as we had to fight a lot against attacks from both Longreach and Tempest. We had to regain our strength back and that cost us a lot of resources. We are trying to hold a steady flow of marches, but we can’t seem to retain them in the building, as most of our heavy hitters are now behind the front lines.

The time ran out, and we are not able to take Glory City. As the map looks now, we are in 2nd place. It was a hard battle, and we can’t try again as the end of the event is coming.
We had a great start, but we underestimated our opponents, and as such we didn’t participate as actively as we should, while Longreach had a steady show of force when it was the most needed.

The Glorious Battle timer went down to 00:00. As the event ended and everyone got the rewards of their participation, the screen showed the following:

We will learn from the mistakes we made, and, as an alliance, we will rise again, like dragons in the sky! Next time, we will not falter, we will get first place!
