Hello, Lords and Ladies. Welcome to the new Arena of Honor season.

Due to the bad results of the last season, I decided to leave my team and look for a new squad. That was when Camie sent me a message. She had created a flawless strategy to win any match, based on a team formed by cavalry and infantry players. The problem was that she only had the infantry part, so she invited me and asked me to bring some cavalry players. That was when I brought pAndA, Phantom79, and SunSmasher.

The group was very well organized and divided into two teams. Our strongest infantry player, Camie, would be responsible for capturing and holding Glory City, while the cavalry team, which I was part of, had the mission of attacking and holding clan castles and focusing on personal eliminations. We truly believed that sending countless attacks would make the enemy team collapse and give up.

This was the first match of the new season, which meant that all players had their ranks and scores reduced, so we did not know exactly what we were going to face. And after a few minutes discussing the strategy, we entered the map and finally discovered who our opponents would be.

I did not know any of the players on the opposing teams, which was a surprise. But I knew that some of them belonged to large alliances, so we could expect a difficult match ahead.

The match was about to begin, and we reviewed the strategy one last time. While Glory City was blocked, we would focus on capturing the Clan castles. We would allow the opposing teams to take the altars first, and then we would take them back to collect elimination points. However, we still did not know if we were the strongest team in that match or not. But we knew that if we attacked the altars relentlessly, the chances of exhausting them and perhaps making them give up would be very high, which would lead us to victory.

The match began, and in less than ten minutes, after an intense battle, we got our first big victory: we took two houses main castle. From that moment on, we would receive 20% of their points, which got us to the top of the ranking with 5 thousand points advantage. But we had a problem…

The two opposing teams were active, capturing the altars, while we were only three players trying to take them back. This became a concern when we realized the other teams were scoring more points per minute. Fortunately, we managed to capture the three Watch Towers. Even so, we still needed the altars to make more points per minute.

We knew that it was important to capture as many buildings as possible. We were struggling to recover the altars, as both opposing teams were fully focused on them, and we had only a few players from our side to take them back. Even when we managed to recapture them, we were still making a very small number of points.

What brought us back into the game was when the Dragonpit was unlocked. We managed to capture it and hold it, which gave us many points per minute and allowed us to open a slight lead

The truth is that we were struggling a lot to maintain the lead. The two opposing teams were recapturing the altars, and we were losing some positions on the map. We noticed that our points per minute were getting lower, while our opponents were scoring heavily. At that point, capturing and holding Glory City would be the most important objective of the match. Whoever managed to capture and hold it until the end would be the champion.

The bubble on Glory City had dropped, and the first team to capture it was House Stark. Our team was worried. We knew that if they held it for more than four minutes, they would take a significant portion of our points, which would give them the lead and possibly the victory.

We tried an infantry rally led by Camie, but it did not work. We tried a cavalry rally led by Phantom, and it did not work either. We were starting to panic. That was when Camie had an idea: open simultaneous rallies. And it worked.

Our strategy had worked, and we successfully captured Glory City. That completely changed the game, because the opposing teams shifted their strategy. They all began focusing on capturing Glory City, but we knew how strong our defense was and that neither team would be able to take it from us.

Knowing that they would be busy trying to reclaim the structure, we started attacking and recapturing the altars. The mines also opened, and we managed to capture and hold them. That gave us the lead and placed us far ahead on the scoreboard while the opposing teams were occupied trying to retake Glory City.

Retaking Glory City was the turning point in the outcome of the match, not only because of the points, but because it completely exhausted both opposing teams. They spent the next three minutes trying to recover it, while we focused on defense and on reclaiming other structures, since they were more vulnerable.

At all times, we were defending against rallies, while our troops were also holding several mines, which gave us thousands of points per minute. And after some time, both teams decided to give up and leave the victory to us.

The truth is that Camie had a very strong plan to win the match, but here we learned that sometimes the plan needs to be adjusted and a new strategy must be created for victory to come. And that is how we won the first match of the new season.
