It's been a crazy week, first with the start of the demanding Glorious of Battle, then some minor issues with game availability, and finally GB and KvK happening simultaneously over the weekend. We're all certainly busy with bloody battles and have no time to celebrate.

This edition of KvK is marked by increased rewards. 15% isn't much, but with good play, it can significantly increase the number of tokens.

This time, we're starting KvK a little differently than usual, because first we need to focus fully on the reset in Glorious of Battle, as we need to capture valuable castles that will later allow us to win.

After a smooth victory, it's time to see what's going on in the server war. This time, our opponent is server K409 and one SCS alliance that we know nothing about. Since it is a newer server than ours, either the opponent will be weaker because they have newer accounts than us, or they simply moved from an older server. The alliance is quite active, but so far there are no stronger players in sight, or they are hiding well.

It's been an hour since the reset, and no one is taking over any castles on either side, total silence. Maybe it's because of GB, everyone spent some time there and went to sleep. I'll try to wait a little longer and look around, maybe I'll be able to get something.

Unfortunately, the second hour has passed and nothing interesting is happening. The army is red-hot and ready to attack, just waiting for the enemy to play. I think it's time to rest and sleep, and in the morning everyone will be ready to fight, and I hope something will happen.

Morning.

Lately, I've been unlucky with KvK, because a lot happens just when I'm not there, and that's what happened this time. The allies have been fighting hard since morning, but surprisingly, only with one player. It wasn't obvious before, but there is Pappuch in the SCS alliance, a versatile player in at least two formations, and the fight was only with him. The rest of the alliance is either afraid, or they're just farmers, which is a shame.

To prepare better and to see if there's anything to fight for, I review the reports and talk to others. It takes a few minutes, but it turns out that so far it's been our mistakes and our opponent's luck. Unfortunately, one person was caught at the wrong moment and lost a lot of army points. There were also reports showing that the fight was within reach. Sometimes KvK is lottery and one player with a very strong account can dominate the entire KvK.

This small mistake cost us a lot of points. At noon, the advantage was about 300m points. You could say that the opponent was very lucky because the report should look like this:

We are trying to decide something together, but the problem is that the opponent can change formation and still be quite strong. So far, he has shown that despite the huge loss of T5, he will continue to fight. His attacks are on the verge of profitability or madness. He takes huge risks and has almost lost his lord several times, but today luck is on his side, which makes it difficult for us to come up with any plan. Spear is definitely out of the question, so we are left with calvary or infantry.

Another million T5s lost. This is desperation, but what's the point when there aren't that many rewards for KvK, and this account definitely doesn't need any more badges.

We try to surprise him somehow, do something unconventional, and we almost succeed, but another SCS player falls into the trap, thinking he can do something to us. However, in this KvK, it's one player against everyone else, with the rest just waiting for the result.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we are unable to pose a threat to our opponent. While we manage to catch other players, Pappuch has gained such an advantage that it is impossible to catch up with him. Despite the desperation and madness in his eyes, the loss of several million T5, he manage to hit well and accurately a few times, which makes him dominate this KvK individually.

The task is not easy for us also because the opponent has a blockade, so our attacks cannot be as senseless as his. He has the advantage of being able to afford it.

My contribution

The beginning was really bad. I didn't manage to score many points. In the afternoon, I had to take a tactical approach and be very careful. Every jump could be dangerous. Thanks to my experience, I managed to score some points by deflecting locks, and even when Pappuch put a rally on me, I escaped without any problems. He didn't dare to attack solo this time, or he lacked the T5 for a pointless attack.

Apart from scoring single castles and avoiding my opponent, I managed one attack that I'm happy with. I had to be patient and take advantage of my opponent's mistake, who lost his lord somewhere and then said goodbye to his army.

Two hours before the end, the fight was already over. The opponent took advantage of his superiority and gave up further fighting, if you can call it that. It's just a shame that only one player participated in it, even though the SCS alliance is not that small and others could have gotten involved instead of being replaced by the whale.

Summary

KvK and GB in one weekend is a challenge, but also a full day of excitement. You have to jump from one window to another and you can't make too many mistakes. For me, KvK was a battle between the Whale and the fish. One player with a very good account pushed us against the wall. Several times we were very close to catching him, but unfortunately luck was not on our side.

I'm happy with the rewards and also with the fact that I wasn't caught and managed to catch him a few times.
