I was ready for another invasion, and I knew that this time everything would be different.

I received three unprotected targets in Kingdom 55, led by the BBs alliance. I had already invaded that kingdom on previous occasions, so I would not be entering into a completely unknown territory for the first time. I already knew the strengths and also the vulnerabilities of that alliance.

It was almost one o’clock in the morning when I received those targets, and I knew that this was the time when BBs plays its events and that almost all of their players would be active. That meant that invading that kingdom and attacking that alliance would attract dozens of players after me, and I did not know if that was the kind of attention that I wanted.

After a few minutes, I started planning the invasion. And while I was checking my resource stock, my spies returned with important information. The main members of BBs were online, and some of them were using battle equipment. That made sense, because BBs had just come out of a battle in the event “All out War.”

I also received important information about the targets. I did not have access to the scouting reports, but I was informed that they were composed of infantry and cavalry troops. None of them were using battle equipment. Even so, the third target could bring a little more danger to my army. But I decided to accept that challenge and take the risk. I trained some additional troops, activated battle mode, and invaded Kingdom 55 for the third time.

I took a deep breath, looked at my army, and gave the order to attack.

The first target was not from the BBs alliance, but it was a vital farm that supplied resources to some players. The result of the attack was impressive. I managed to eliminate almost all of his troops and even capture his Lord in a single impact. And for the moment, BBs still did not know that I was there.

I was surprised and, at the same time, happy that my first attack was a success, but I had to remind myself that the target was only a farm and was not a castle prepared for battle, and that attacking it would not bring me more respect and glory.

After my troops returned to the camp, I spent the next few minutes calculating the risks of the next attacks. Two targets from the BBs alliance were waiting for me, and I needed to choose which one I would attack first. So I decided to start with the weaker one, since the second target represented a real danger to my troops.

I moved to a slightly closer position and launched the first attack against BBs.

My men returned proud of what they had just done. DiamondDave suffered more than three million casualties in the first wave, while our losses were almost nonexistent. Dave was not well prepared for a battle of that size. His formation and troop composition were incomplete, and his equipment and badges were configured for rebel leaders.

In addition, everyone knew that the attack was an open provocation against BBs, even knowing they were once TFI friends, and they would probably seek retaliation. And before they could counterattack me or drop the defense tower, I attacked Dave once again.

The troops returned from the second attack with Dave’s lord captured. That was an achievement that left everyone motivated to move toward the second target, but we needed to be careful.

When people talk about me, one of the most common comments is about my speed. I rarely make mistakes, and I am always very fast when attacking my targets. Some of them even manage to find me, but when they are ready to launch the attack, I have already moved to a new location.

That completely changes the strategy. When the target alliance realizes that they cannot capture the invader, they usually send garrisons to the unprotected ally. In that way, they can capture the hunter’s lord and destroy all of his troops. That is why, before attacking the second target, I moved to a safe location and analyzed the situation for a few minutes. If any spear player with excellent commanders and T5 troops sent a garrison to my target, I would be in serious trouble.

I noticed that Anup had moved, and he is certainly the strongest player in BBs. He did not send any garrison to my target. That meant that I could carry out the attack safely. But I needed to keep my attention high to avoid exposing my location. However, the second target seemed to be a little stronger than the first. Because of that, I activated some additional battle buffs to make sure that I would be able to eliminate him successfully.

The second attack completely changed the pace of that invasion. The battle lasted only a few minutes, and when my troops returned to the camp, I noticed that Anup had positioned his castle near mine, and at that moment, I knew that I was in danger.

The tension was high, and that invasion had turned into a complete nightmare. I went from hunter to prey in the blink of an eye. My soldiers and I did not know whether we should launch a second attack or jump to a safe location and wait fifteen minutes until activating the protection bubble.

That was an extremely delicate situation. Launching a second attack would mean exposing my location once again, which would leave me vulnerable. I trusted the power and speed of my army, but I would remain exposed for another fifteen minutes. Even so, I let my hunter instinct speak louder and launched the second attack.

The second attack was perfect. I lost almost no soldiers while managing to eliminate more than three million troops from my second victim.

The two targets from the BBs alliance were defeated, and my invasion had been a complete success, but the next fifteen minutes were filled with terror. Right after my last attack, Anup once again positioned his castle near mine. And no matter how fast I was, he was always one step ahead and always found me.

Until I made a mistake…

For five minutes, I changed my location several times, and after that, I made the mistake of thinking that I was safe. Then I stopped jumping to new coordinates, and that was a fatal mistake.

Because Anup found me.

He used the Dragon skill Blockade and launched four quick attacks. I barely had time to hide my troops.

I had some soldiers in the shelter and others in the crystal mines. I still did not know the result of those attacks, and terror took over.

When I opened the battle report, the result surprised me.

When I noticed that Anup was attacking me, I tried to hide as many troops as possible, and to my surprise, when Anup finally reached my castle, I had only four hundred thousand T3 troops inside, which left me relieved.

Losing soldiers is never easy, but T3 troops are easy to replace. To be honest, I thought that I would not have enough time to hide my troops. I thought that Anup’s attack would completely wipe out my army, but fortunately, he did not use speed boots, and his soldiers took a few seconds to reach my castle. So I had enough time to hide my T4 and T5 soldiers.

I can say that the invasion was a success. Three castles defeated, and millions of merit points earned left me satisfied. But Anup’s counterattack was unexpected and left me a little traumatized, which brings new lessons, especially that I always need to stay alert and that comfort can mean ruin.

And once again, I leave the kingdom without being defeated, but Anup, BBs, and I know that I will return in the future as soon as I have a new opportunity. But now I know that they will be waiting for me.
