ARENA OF HONOR | SEASON 5 ROUND 3 | HOUSE TARGARYEN.

Welcome Lords and Ladies to the third round of Arena of Honor Season 5, some of our combatants have two wins under their belt already and some still have yet to win one. Tonight, we have one of our crowd favorites who has yet to win a match, Moshow2 has returned but even at this early stage of the season, he worries he won’t reach the Glory King rank without catching up the combatants that have already won two. Can he get his first win under his belt or will he fall further behind the leading pack destined for the Glory King rank?

Moshow2 was tired of getting second place, “we need a strategy that gives us the best chance of success, I suggest offensive strongholds but the main problem is going to be the Glory City,” Moshow2 knew the strongholds played a role but the main objective of the Glory City was the key to a win. “Do we have a rally leader that is strong enough to tank multiple rallies, without one the best we can do is second place and I’m tired of failing,” Moshow2 seemed desperate, he wanted to show his fans he could hang with the best. 

BIESS stepped up to Moshow2’s call, “I can rally but I don’t know if I can tank many Cavalry rallies but anything else I can go even or win,” BIESS was strong but was he strong enough to fully capture the Glory City only time will tell. “I suggest building offensive strongholds, I like having our clan castle defended at all times,” BIESS could see most of his team mates agreed and some just shrugged.

As for the Arena of Honor, it starts with six teams who fight for objectives on the map, each objective provides a first capture amount and then points over time, the team with the most points at the end of the match wins. “I agree the Glory City is the most important objective but we need a plan if that becomes unattainable,” BIESS would be content with second place but he could see the fire in Moshow2 and didn’t have the heart to tell him otherwise. 

Finally, the teams entered the arena and House Targaryen looked worried, “House Stark seem strong, they have strong spearmen warriors, we have to hope someone can know them out the Glory City for us,” Moshow2 was already in despair but his team mates looked more hopeful. As the strongholds of each team opened it was House Stark and House Lannister who built spearmen strongholds but House Targaryen chose to walk a different path and built Trading Posts last minute. “I don’t know if that was a wise choice but I didn’t want to fight with House Stark for Altars of the Warrior and it leaves Altars of the Maiden free for us,” BIESS was looking for some kind of confirmation from his team mates but got none. “Let’s hope this last second play works for us, our clan castle could be at risk, we will need to watch it for most of the match,” Moshow2 was sceptical of the Trading Posts route but he agreed with the reasoning. “House Baratheon, Greyjoy and Tyrell made some weird choices with their strongholds, perhaps we can use that to our advantage,” BIESS was glad he was adjacent to some of the weaker Houses but would that matter in the end?

House Lannister was led by the astute DROOMS, “House Stark have also made spearmen strongholds, it doesn’t matter, the Glory City is what really matters and I have a plan to beat them all,” DROOMS seemed confident but wouldn’t share his plan with the rest of his team mates. 

Finally, we have the team on everyone’s lips House Stark led by the powerhouse Lady Anibas, “House Lannister are the only ones challenging us for the Watch Tower and Catapults,” Lady Anibas was already priming her team to focus House Lannister and guarantee the battle for the Watch Towers.

As the first fifteen minutes passed by, it was House Lannister and House Stark who captured a Watch Tower each with House Targaryen not far behind the top two. “I will protect our clan castle, House Stark and House Lannister’s strongholds could become a problem in the future,” WIR of House Targaryen knew if they lost their clan castle while they were fighting for the Glory City it would become too much to bear. As for House Baratheon their clan castle was taken by House Stark and House Tyrell would be the victims of House Lannister who also took their clan castle. 

The first point of action came at the opening altar duels, “If we keep House Lannister busy defending what they really want which is the Altar of the Warrior, perhaps they will forget about their Altars of the Maiden,” Moshow2 began his assault on House Lannister but it wasn’t long before House Stark started poking House Targaryen which forced them to pull back from House Lannister’s zone. “Which ever House attacks first we can go through the back door and cause havoc,” Lady Anibas was playing defensively, she ordered her team mates to defend first and strike only when their opponents overextend. As the battle for the altars raged on, House Stark had gained a small lead over House Lannister due to capturing their altars first but the gap between House Lannister and House Targaryen had grown over 2k due to the first capture points of the Watch Tower. 

The Dragonpits became the next point of contention, “We can’t allow House Lannister to capture Dragonpits, they are the weaker of the top two,” Moshow2 had his focus on House Lannister first but he wasn’t giving up on his dream of taking the win today. “House Targaryen are being a thorn in our side, they keep attacking us, like they are focusing us for some reason,” DROOMS could see a pattern but he wasn’t keeping his eye on House Stark which continued to take Altars of the Warrior around the battlefield and were now marching their way towards to the only Watch Tower House Lannister controlled. In the end it was House Lannister, Stark and Targaryen that took one Dragonpit each, the battle took some time but it ended with a whimper as each House controlled a Dragonpit in their zone. 

The Glory City opened its doors and immediately House Lannister made their move, “great job filling my rally, the others were too slow, we will hit first,” Badbadger of House Lannister was their rally leader but he knew once they took the Glory City the hard part would begin. “Looks like our rally will hit last, this is perfect for us, those two will hit each other and we will beat the winner,” Lady Anibas didn’t plan this but it worked out and indeed it was House Stark that would now control the Glory City once all the rallies hit. “We had two rallies going towards the Glory City but both lost, those spears from House Stark are going to be a problem,” BIESS didn’t like where things were heading but he still had hope for a second-place finish at worst. The lead between House Stark and House Targaryen who now found themselves in second place was 10k but that could be overtaken with help of the Mineshafts. Can House Targaryen stop House Stark from fully capturing the Glory City and capture more Mineshafts than House Stark, seems a tough task but the fire in Moshow2 could be the catalyst House Targaryen needs. 

As the fight for the Glory City raged on, the Mineshafts became available, “We won’t focus on the Mineshafts, our main focus will be the Glory City, if you can keep the other Houses busy with the Mineshafts that would help us,” Lady Anibas had a plan but was it the right plan for the situation, House Stark was in the lead but if they gave up too many Mineshafts they could lose out. “House Targaryen has a 15k points lead over us, those Trading Posts really made a difference,” DROOMS no longer was confident as he once was, his so-called plan had been systematically destroyed right in front of his eyes. Meanwhile House Stark managed to fully secure the Glory City and take a 20k points lead over House Targaryen, the Mineshafts were the distraction House Stark needed. 

While both House Lannister and House Targaryen reeled at losing the Glory City, there was still time to take it back, “this is our last chance, second place is secured but we can still win,” BIESS could see Moshow2 had lost all hope for his first win of the season but he hadn’t given up yet. The final rally or so they thought was going towards the Glory City, the Mineshafts were now empty this was on the only way to gain more points. “House Lannister have given up, so have the others, it’s up to us now, march forward,” BIESS watched as his rally crashed against the walls of the Glory City, all his hopes and dreams crashed with it as his troops that survived made the walk of shame back to their city. “The rally was so close, we nearly won that, there’s no time to actually fully capture the Glory City but I want to try again,” BIESS was angered by the result of the first rally, he couldn’t believe it. In the end House Stark won the second rally and the bragging rights for the rest of the match. 

As the final minute ticked away House Targaryen were left in shambles, “we tried everything, House Stark were waiting every time, they just countered us when every we acted,” Moshow2 was sad to lose once again but he could see House Stark were worthy winners. “They had a 60k points lead in the end, the capture of the Glory City broke us, we focused too hard on the Mineshafts in the end,” BIESS knew what mistakes they had made but even if House Stark hadn’t fully captured the Glory City they wouldn't have won out on points.

On the other hand, House Stark celebrated their well-deserved win, “the plan to stay focused on the Glory City was the correct one, I was doubting myself at one point but it paid off in the end,” Lady Anibas was being praised by her team but she knew tougher opponents would have punished some of the decisions she had made.
