Our alliance was in a really tough spot. The main favorites, the Frost faction led by the powerful RoD alliance, held the center of the map and were watching everything closely. We knew that fighting them directly right now would mean only one thing, total destruction. That’s why we made a choice that would decide our future: we marched to the harsh north.

Our goal was the Lordsbane territory, which was controlled by the NoS alliance. The plan was simple but risky: take as many castles as we can, get points, and lock in that important second place before RoD decides it’s time to wipe us out. The mood in our camp was a mix of hope and fear. Every soldier, including Stanko, knew that every day without an RoD attack was just borrowed time we had to use as much as possible. We gathered supplies, got our weapons ready, and looked toward the north.

The fight didn't start with trumpets at noon. It started quietly and in a cowardly way, during the night. While most of our players were trying to get a few hours of sleep, Lordsbane started their move. They used the quiet of the night to build villages lightning fast, surrounding our main base, the Stage. When the sun came up, we saw the red icon on our screens: an attack was coming.

But the real shock wasn't just the attack; it was the trap they set for us. RoD players, either by deal or for their own reasons, built a wall at Potition that no one could pass. That was the only fast way to reach the Stage. Our backup was cut off. Panic started to spread in the chat. We watched the timer for the Stage attack count down, while our best players were trapped behind the RoD blockade. At that moment, the Stage looked like a lost cause. But, there were a few people who wouldn't say "no." Among them was Stanko. He didn't wait for orders; he was already moving, looking for even the smallest paths through mountains and villages, risking everything just to get there on time.

When Stanko finally broke through the block and reached the Stage, what he saw was terrible. Lordsbane was already there. Their troops were fresh, well-equipped, and worst of all, there were many more of them. Stanko entered the castle with his three armies, but they weren't at their best. They were tired from the march, and their numbers were low. Still, he lined them up in front of the castle center, knowing that if the center fell, everything would be lost.

The battle started hard. Tension grew with every new report about losses. Stanko stood in the middle, trying to manage three different sides at the same time. Lordsbane was pushing, and their foot soldiers were rushing toward the center like a tide. Stanko kept looking for their riders; he knew that was the only way to do real damage with his spear units without losing too many troops. But he had to be careful, the enemy foot soldiers were waiting for him, ready to kill his horses the moment he made even a small mistake in where he placed them.

His second and third armies were disappearing before his eyes. Every minute felt like an hour. The mood in the castle was very tense. Even though we had more players nearby, they were ready and had full troops, which gave them a huge advantage. We watched our lines break as we moved back step by step to the very edge of the Stage. At that moment, it felt like Lordsbane was unbeatable because they had something we didn't, their base was close, and their backup arrived as soon as they lost a single unit. We were alone, left only to our own strength.

The situation became critical after fifteen minutes of constant fighting. Stanko made a hard choice: he sent his weaker, damaged armies to heal quickly, staying in the center with only his main army.

It was a gamble, if he fell now, no one would be left to hold the line. He saw that Lordsbane, despite their advantage, was starting to show signs of getting tired. Their attacks became more messy. We were stronger, and they had more people.

Then Stanko did something nobody expected. Instead of moving deeper into the fort, he rode outside the walls. His goal was their Heal wagons. He wanted to cut off their supplies to make it easier to take out the enemies inside. The fight that followed was brutal. Stanko fought without any direct help, surrounded by enemies attacking his main army. His strength was dropping, but luckily, his other two armies arrived.

They weren't fully healed, but they were a big help because Stanko was basically alone. He saw that going outside instead of staying with the others inside the castle was a mistake. "That’s what you get for trying to be a hero," he said to himself.

And just when Lordsbane started to get together for the final hit on Stanko, a sound echoed across the horizon that changed everything. It wasn't our alliance, and it wasn't RoD. It was the Shadow faction. A few powerful rallies appeared out of nowhere, hitting Lordsbane directly in their unprotected sides. The chaos was crazy.

Shadow players went right through the enemy lines, breaking their formation into pieces. Stanko, seeing the help, used his last bit of strength for a charge that finally made the remaining NoS players run away in panic. The Stage was saved.

When the fighting stopped, the Stage was still standing proudly under our flag. The battle was won, but the cost was high. The victory brought relief, but also a deep realization of how close we came to losing everything.

Looking back at this event, it became clear that our plan to move north was right, but it almost ended badly because we weren't ready for a night attack. Thanks to Stanko staying strong and the unexpected help from the Shadow faction, we kept our key points. Those points will probably get us that second place we want at the end of the season. However, we learned a lesson for the future: nobody is safe on this map, and allies show up where you least expect them.

Stanko didn't enter the fight as a hero, but as a player doing what had to be done. But, during those hellish minutes in the center of the Stage, he went through a total transformation.

First, he learned the value of patience while waiting for the right moment to hit the cavalry. Second, he showed he was incredibly calm when he sent his troops to heal while he held the line alone, risking everything.

His decision to attack the Heal wagons by himself at the end, even though he was without backup and it was a bit crazy, helped the others fight the enemies more easily. Stanko thanked the allies who saved him from being destroyed and helped save the castle. He promised his teammates that he wouldn't try to stand out alone anymore and that he would stay with the group. However, hardly anyone believed him, because this just encouraged him to fight bravely and never give up next time.
