The never-ending battle - Ultimate Conquest Season 22 Round 2 - [N0X] vs [UTB]

Despite having some technical difficulties on the 6th round of the regular Alliance Conquest season and having to fight in the middle of the night, since they still had chances to qualify for the Ultimate Conquest, [N0X] decided to do their best and try to get as many warriors as possible on the battlefield and give [FuK] a run for their money. [FuK]'s prime time was 01:00 so they had that advantage over [N0X] and the attendance shown that with [N0X] having 12 less warriors on the battlefield, but despite that [N0X] played insanely well and managed to secure the win.

With the win secured, and currently being in the race for the Ultimate Conquest, the waiting game started, and with every round passing they were getting more and more sure that they'll make 'it. After the last round played at 22:00, the Old Gods released the final rankings and [N0X] couldn't be happier with the result, as they managed to get on the Ultimate Conquest for the 2nd time now. The next day when the pairings for the first fight were done, [N0X] was set to face [WxD] a much stronger alliance than they were and not only that but the match happened once again in the middle of the night.

To nobody's surprise, [N0X] couldn't overcome the strength of [WxD] and they had to admit defeat and now they had fallen in the loser bracket, and one more lose would mean they are getting eliminated completely from the tournament. Unlike regular season, the opponent is known right on and for [N0X] the next opponent was going to be [UTB].

Despite being very strong too, [UTB] was one of the more accessible alliances in Ultimate Conquest and [N0X] was determined to try and win this fight, so leadership started crafting the best strategy for this fight. With only 2 days between fights, the time flew by quickly and it was already time for the fight, so everyone took their troops, must trusted commanders and dragons and head to the Ultimate Conquest battlefield. They arrived just in time as the gates opened, and everyone stepped inside and took their predesigned spots.

Unlike the regular season, on Ultimate Conquest the limit of warriors per alliance is only 70 instead of 100, so with a few seconds left before the start of the fight, there were 66 warriors for [N0X] against 70 for [UTB]. Being in power and score disadvantage, [N0X] seen themselves at a little bit of attendance disadvantage too but they were determined to win this no matter what. As always, the battle opened with the 2 outposts, the temple of mother and the tower of warrior. [N0X] did great on the races and managed to secure 3 out of the 4 buildings with Scythe, subamcqueen and Sheva K61 while [UTB] got only 1 outpost with DonCelli. However, when they tried to swap, [N0X] encountered some technical difficulties, and only managed to swap temple of mother and now they were already on the backfeet, they had to recover the tower of warrior as quickly as possible so that was their first target, while [UTB]'s target was the temple of mother. The exchange of rally waves was very bloody but both alliances managed to reinforce in time, so the score remained unchanged. It was now time for the ports to open and [N0X] racers were once again up to good business managing to secure one of the ports with subamcqueen while [UTB] took the other one with RazzoR. Both alliances performed a swap and now they were back to rallies once again, with both of them targeting each other's ports.

[N0X] reinforcement game was once again flawless, and they managed to hold the port but so did [UTB] despite them dropping as low as 3 reinforcements at a point in the fight (people will say it was Shado's fault for not winning the rally, believe them, it actually was).

Both teams were going neck in neck in terms of points, and [N0X] were having a tough time kicking [UTB] from buildings mostly due to them having tower of warrior and with that access to very strong buffs so [N0X] next target was the tower.

Once again, they fell just a bit short, but they really needed that tower very badly and as soon as troops got back home and got healed a new wave of rallies started.

This time the rallies were successful and [N0X] managed to take the tower of warrior. But now they had to swap their attention to Casterly Rock as it was about to open and this time [N0X] sent all the racers and all available rally leaders race for it. Once again, subamcqueen was on point and he won the race for Casterly Rock but once again the swap got intercepted and [N0X] had to start the Delta Force operation: Recover the Casterly Rock.

Wave after wave of rallies were sent from [N0X] base in hopes to break [UTB] reinforcements and breaking they did. [N0X] managed to secure the Casterly Rock and now it was time for them to start recovering the points disadvantage. But of course, the [UTB] didn't just stay and wait and as soon as CR dropped the bubble, the rallies were on their way. For the rest of the fight, there was a continuous back and forth battle focused especially on Casterly Rock, with both alliances winning the castle just to lose 'it again.

The alliances were neck in neck in terms of points and buildings owned and it was up to the mines to decide the winner of this incredible fight. Subamcqueen once again managed to secure one of the mines for [N0X] while Nymphe27 secured one for [UTB]. While [N0X] swapped DYW in, [UTB] decided to not swap so that made their mine very susceptible to solos and that's what [N0X] did and managed to secure the 2nd mine too, sadly for them not with a rally leader. However, with perfectly timed reinforcements they managed to withstand [UTB] solos for a few minutes, enough for them to get a slight points advantage that ultimately granted them the win.

This was first [N0X] win in Ultimate Conquest, and most likely the best fight they ever had in Alliance Conquest all together. Everyone left the battlefield happy, and they were already thinking at the next match. Will they be able to do another great match against [LEG] and be able to secure an unhoped top 8 in this Ultimate Conquest season? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
