💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? Welcome to my article, where I will be taking a closer look at the latest event in Infinity Kingdom, the Midsummer Festival event. The event is an event that makes its rounds around mid-July and is generally a good chance for players to get valuable rewards for free. Some items may not be worth it for certain tiers of players to spend resources chasing at a certain point, so let’s take a look at where the value lies.

💠Table of Contents

  • Overview
  • Sign-in Rewards
  • Abyssal Temple Battle Pass
  • Glorious Challenge
  • Pinnacle Trial
  • Treasure Hunter
  • Celebration Shop
  • Summary

💠Overview

The event started on Friday, July 11, and will last until the end of Sunday, July 20. Players have 10 days to complete all the tasks and collect the rewards they want. The event is divided into numerous parts: sign-in rewards, a battle pass, challenges and trials, and a reward draw. Some parts of the event are easier to do than others, but not all rewards and quests are worth doing or spending money on, especially for certain types of players. It follows the same format as the last several monthly events, except for the prize pool draw.

💠Sign-in Rewards

This is the easiest part of the event. All players have to do is sign in every day, navigate to the event section, and claim rewards. There are ten rewards you can collect. Players can claim two Resonance Crystals a day for a total of 20. Even if you do not have time to do the event every day, this is a good place to collect Resonance Crystals for little time invested and allow you to try your hand at Treasure Hunter.

💠Abyssal Temple Battle Pass

Similar to the previous event Battle Passes, there are two tiers of rewards and 30 levels to complete. The free tier offers a total of 60 Resonance Crystals. The premium tier costs $49.99 and gives an additional 145 Resonance Crystals, 6,000 Gems, 60 Random Holy/Shadow Immortal Fragments, and the new developable castle skin, the Abyssal Temple. The base skin gives 5% Troop Attack and 3% Death Rate. It can be upgraded ten times and each level gives an additional 1% Troop Attack and 0.3% Death Rate. Like last month’s Skyriver Palace skin, the Abyssal Temple can be developed using the same skin, which players can get by being in the top ten of the Treasure Hunter ranking at the end of each day. Since there are only ten days in the event, unless one person wins every day, no one will be able to max the skin. However with the introduction of skin shards, more players will be able to get it to a higher level than they could have with the Skyriver Palace. I expected the Skyriver Palace to return in some form in this event so players can upgrade their skins, but alas, a new skin was introduced to the game. The 6,000 Gems from the Battle Pass are in line with other $49.99 bundles. The pass is extremely good value for serious players who want a good-looking skin with PvP stats.

To increase the level of the pass, there are 7 missions a day that players can complete for 100 EXP each. Each level requires more and more EXP. Throughout ten days, there will be a total of about 70 tasks. You are allowed to skip a few tasks a day and still be able to complete the entire Battle Pass. The tasks range from simple ones like buying from the market to tasks that require more planning, like training a certain number of troops. You will need to train full troops more than once a day to reach 40,000 troops trained.

💠Glorious Challenge

Glorious Challenges are similar to Well of Time campaigns. Players select a team to tackle each challenge, and beating each challenge will net you 50 Gems for first-time clear rewards and Radiance Marks that you can trade in for rewards in the Celebration Shop. Completing each level unlocks a raid feature. Subsequent raids will earn you Radiance Marks. There are two modes. The Normal Mode is available at the start of the event and goes up to level 16. The levels are extremely easy, and most players should not have much difficulty clearing them. The Hard Mode unlocks after three days and will be similar to the Elite Campaigns. You get five free attempts a day, and it refreshes every day at 0 UTC. You can also purchase up to 100 additional attempts in the shop for 8,000 Gems, but I would save those for the Hard Mode levels for additional marks. You don’t even need to purchase all of the extra attempts to claim most rewards in the Celebration Shop if you forgo the nine sets of Resonance Crystals. Players with the fastest clear times will appear on the level’s ranking ladder. Clearing the final level will give you a unique event name tag.

💠Pinnacle Trial

Pinnacle Trials are extremely similar to the Glorious Challenges except that players only get 1 attempt a day and cannot purchase additional tickets. The rewards are significantly better too. There are 10 levels, and it offers gifts of 50 Random Immortal Fragments, 36 Random Holy/Shadow Immortal Fragments, and 18 Resonance Crystals. After completing the levels, you can raid them to get additional rewards. The later levels are significantly more difficult since the enemies have legendary skills.

💠Treasure Hunter

There are 3,000 rewards in the prize pool for Treasure Hunter, up from 3,000 from the last event. There are 540 Random Immortal Fragments of each element and 168 Precious Dragon Crystal Selection Chests, totaling 2,868 rewards to make up the bottom tier. There are also 30 Eternal Dragon Soul Chests, 30 single Cao Cao fragments, 30 single Cao Cao Exclusive Artifact fragments, and 30 Epic Immortal Selection Chest II. Those 120 rewards make up the middle tier. Finally, the top tier rewards include five 5 Chaos Artifact Schematic Fragment Selection Chest III, four 5 Random Chaos Immortal Fragments, and three 80 Fate of Chaos Selection Chest IV. Apollo was replaced with Ares and this is currently the only way to unlock and max Ares and get his exclusive artifact. Apollo is now in the Chaos Roulette. There is less than a 3% chance of getting any of the Chaos-related items. In the event, players from every server will draw from the same prize pool using Resonance Crystals. If the legendary rewards are claimed or two hours have passed, the pool will reset.

Additionally, every pull will give you one point. Reaching various point thresholds will allow the player to obtain Random Chaos Immortal Fragments. Furthermore, players will be able to earn Ability Stone Selection Chest I, a dynamic frame, Random Immortal Fragments, Stardust, and Abyssal Temple skins by placing on the Stage and Overall Ranking ladders. The top daily rank will receive the permanent skin while ranks two through ten will receive various numbers of skin shards.

Players can purchase additional Resonance Crystals from bundles. You can get 10, 15, 20, 40, 108, and 210 crystals for $2.99, $4.99, $9.99, $19.99, $49.99, and $99.99, respectively. You can purchase up to ten of each a day. There is also another one-time $49.99 bundle that features 100 crystals and the exclusive dynamic Floral Crown avatar frame. The most expensive bundles per crystal are the $9.99 and $19.99 ones, so I would skip those in favor of the others. The $2.99 has the most value per dollar. Players can also get 200 free Resonance Crystals and another 145 from the premium Battle Pass. Frankly, having to compete with everyone across every server makes this part of the event too tough to do. The odds are just too low to invest in the bundles. The best way to pull Fate of Chaos chests is to wait until the three chests are left in the last hundred or so prizes. I average about 550 Resonance Crystals per 80 chests so it would cost me a little over $5,000 to fully develop him without any specializations.

💠Celebration Shop

Players can trade in their Radiance Marks for prizes. Everyone should aim to get all the important items, namely the 90 Resonance Crystals, Floral Mysterium avatar frame, Dreamscape chatbox, two Artifact Selection Chests, and 500 Stardust. The cosmetics and collector’s items will cost a total of 1,700 marks. The artifact chests cost 2,000 apiece. The Stardust costs 1,000 per 100. Resonance Crystals will run for a total of 18,000 marks, so I would skip those if you are not a Chaos user. The first 16 levels of the Glorious Challenges will net you 1,890 marks. The latter 16 will yield 3,670 marks. If you forgo the 90 crystals, you can already get everything else, you can save Gems. Additionally, you can also purchase 100 Glorious Challenge tickets for 8,000 Gems. If you raid the last level of the Hard Mode, you can get 28,000 marks with 100 challenges. That’s enough for all of the essentials and then some. If you have no aspirations to buy any of the Resonance Crystals, you can save yourself 8,000 Gems.

💠Summary

In my opinion, the event is nearly the same as last month’s with the exception of the new castle skin. Again, I am not a huge fan of the developable castle skin as it costs too much to develop and there’s currently no way to develop last month’s Skyriver Palace. With no guarantee to be able to develop the Abyssal Temple either, the Battle Pass feels like a sink. The 500 Stardust is still the best thing for non-spenders. Every player can also get free rewards like Random Holy/Shadow Immortal Fragments that they may need. The Treasure Hunter is still currently the only way to obtain Ares.
