The Last Stand - Arena of Honor - Season 3 Round 13

As the Arena of Honor season is getting closer and closer to its end it was time for Shado to participate to yet another round, the lucky number 13. After leaving the team he didn't manage to do too good in the past rounds, culminating with a 6th place on round 12 but overall, he managed to maintain his fame point and he's going into the 13th round with big expectations. He decided to get back to solo que and in the 2 weeks prior to this round he did everything in his power to get stronger, so it won't end up on a humiliating 6th place again, Time flew by quickly and he barely noticed it was already Sunday morning and the time for him to go to the mercenary camp, so he took his best commander, troops and dragons and went there. He arrived just in time to sign the registration papers and waited patiently for the Old Gods to finish doing their matchmaking.

After a few very complicated fights, he was hoping this time the Old Gods will be nicer with his matchmaking and actually get an easier fight, but little did he knew as things were about to get worse not better. Once the matchmaking was completed, the battlefield gates opened, and it was time for everyone to step into battlefield and see for which house they going to fight. Shado was chosen by House Tyrell to fight for them along with a [WxC] team formed of Inu Da One, wangchuang, Airpig61, GG boy, T G R, unholyname, GOOD WOOD, Golduck K and [NmD]DrGreenThumb.

His team was really strong, but he knew right from the start that if he ended up in such a strong team there are probably more strong teams on the battlefield. Once they got to know each other they headed towards House Tyrell's Clan Castle in the southern desert and once they arrived there, they set their base around the Clan Castle and in the few minutes left before the fight start Shado decided to send some spies on the battlefield to see what House Tyrell is up against.

When the spies returned with the reports, Shado wasn't surprised to notice that all the teams on the battlefield were strong, but 2 of them really stood up, a [BDR] team invited by House Targaryen and another [WxC] team invited by House Baratheon.

While the Baratheon's were far away in the North-East, the Targaryen's were the house that will directly attack House Tyrell, and things weren't looking too good. But the time for looking was done as the fight started with opening of the strongholds and everyone rushed to occupy them as quickly as possible and start the points generation.

While Shado expected his team to go with military camps, the team commander decided to go with trading posts instead and maybe manage to get City of Glory and win the fight that way. Unfortunately, more bad news was coming as House Targaryen was building military camps and House Tyrell had a quite week warrior defending the Clan Castle so every attack coming from House Targaryen could've mean losing the castle, so Shado decided to try and keep an eye on the attacks at all times. The strongholds were constructed just in time as altars started opening and the battle for them started right from the first second. Targaryen's were challenging the Tyrell's Altar of Stranger trying to get their NPCs strong fast, it was T G R vs jouza, who's going to win?

It was T G R for House Tyrell that won the fight and despite House Targaryen's attacks, House Tyrell managed to get the altar. But it was only one altar and there's so many on the battlefield so there was no time for celebrating as everyone was trying to bring their A game on the battlefield. The fight for altars was going well but the Clan Castle was in more and more danger as every attack was chipping a few of the troops there and then about 15 minutes into the fight, the worst thing that can happen, happened.

House Targaryen managed to take House Tyrell's Clan Castle and despite Shado keeping an eye on it and trying to take'it back quickly, so were the warriors of House Targaryen and jouza got there faster.

Shado had no chance against jouza as he's a way stronger warrior with way better commanders, but he decided to keep trying maybe a miracle happens. At the same time airpig61 made a rally to try and retake the Clan Castle and he even managed to win but unfortunately didn't kick everyone out from the Clan Castle and the other warriors from House Targaryen quickly reinforced and there was no time for another rally.

With the Clan Castle lost House Tyrell had to face another immediate danger, the Targaryens were trying to take their strongholds and that would mean the end of the battle for them for sure. But the House Tyrell's warriors didn't just stay and watch, they sent relentless attacks to recover the strongholds and not let them fall into enemy hands and once the Clan Castle opened for attacks it was time for them to try and retake 'it.

The rallies were set, and everyone reinforced quickly to try and not waste any time and when they hit, they managed to kick the House Targaryen from it, but the fight wasn't done as they had to also keep 'it for 2 minutes. However, the Targaryen's didn't agree easily with that, and they sent a few rallies to reclaim the Clan Castle

And they managed to do so unfortunately. Seeing that the team can't handle the House Targaryen's pressure, wangchuang decided to stop taking altars and instead focus on the Clan Castle and once he did that, it was a walk in the park for House Tyrell as they quickly managed to retake their Clan Castle in a matter of minutes.

While being so busy with trying to retake their Clan Castle for most of the fight, House Tyrell didn't even notice the City of Glory opened for attacks and without the Clan Castle they couldn't do rally the city anyway. While Targaryen's and Tyrell's kept each other occupied, Baratheon's easily took the City of Glory without any opposition. Once they got their Clan Castle back Tyrell's focused on the altars to try and get a higher as possible placement in the rankings.

It was one of the best rounds for Shado, fighting wise, despite not being able to fight for the City of Glory, the fight between House Targaryen and House Tyrell was epic and ultimately despite being on the backfoot for most of the fight, the Tyrell's managed to score a very well-deserved 3rd place. Shado managed to score a few fame points and with just 1 round left now every point matter. Will he be able to end the season with a win though? We'll have to wait and see.
