What’s up, folks? With so many new events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happenings, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

💠Illusion Battlefield League

The third round of the IBL Points Phase concluded with some changes in the rankings. Last week, several alliances won their matches to leapfrog into the top 8. Most of the matches have been one-sided stomps, but there were a couple of upsets where younger servers usurped older and more experienced servers.

Server 45’s Van lost to Server 357’s UB.
Server 205’s Lion unexpectedly lost to Server 349’s SHP.

As we approach the fourth week of the tournaments, the top eight changed with the wins and losses last week. Some alliances retained their ranking while others fell, making way for newcomers.

Server 73’s CUBS retain first with a 3-0 record.
Server 73’s BUNS retain second with a 3-0 record.
Server 345’s LC took Server 209’s WV’s third with a 3-0 record after WV opted to skip.
Server 143’s AFF took Server 13’s TYT’s fourth with a 3-0 record after TYT skipped.
Server 231’s CN also skipped and lost their spot to Server 344’s FFS which has a 3-0 record.
Server 359’s RA with a 3-0 record replaced Server 45’s Van after they lost to UB.
Server 340’s SV replaced Server M014’s VT with a 3-0 record. VT skipped.
Server 357’s UB claimed the eighth spot with a 3-0 record after beating Van.

Some notable and potentially close matches this week come from matches that feature younger servers against older servers. All the teams usually field around the same number of players so as long as they play well, teams should have a good chance to take the win. Server 73’s BUNS will look to keep their win streak and duel Server 344’s FFS who should be a formidable opponent at 14:00 UTC.
Server 340’s SV will take on Server 359’s RA at 20:00 UTC.
Server 357’s UB will try to dethrone Server 73’s CUBS at 20:00 UTC..

💠Fountain of Life

This is the second week that Fountain of Life is available in the Wisdom Well. The skill provides all allies with a six-second immunity to Silence, increases self-healing by 20%, decreases healing effects from allies by 50%, and restores all allies’ HP every three seconds by 150%. The skill was made to counter No Escape which has a 90% chance to silence the entire enemy team for six seconds. This means that the main damage dealer in marches no longer needs to equip Fighting Master to avoid the effects of No Escape and can equip a third damage skill. In the case of the healing effects, let’s take Fu Fei, one of the best healing immortals in the game at the moment, as an example. She can cast her ultimate which recovers at a rate of 300% every eight or so seconds. Fountain of Life would reduce that to 150%, but the restoration every three seconds means the reduction in healing would be made up in just three seconds and equal Fu Fei’s healing in just six seconds. The healing from the skill is astronomical and the silence immunity should entice every spending player to get the skill, even if they can’t max it quickly.

💠Legion of Frostborne

Midgard became available to seize this weekend. Servers and factions have already taken Ymir and stamped their win on the season. The results of most of the brackets were determined near the beginning of Zone 2, but taking Ymir cements it.

In Region 290, Servers 13, 38, and 139 in Ember battled and dominated Server 231 which was in Terra. Server 38 currently occupies two Citadels and Ymir while Server 139 has one Citadel.
In Region 291, Servers 16, 56, and 209 in Terra allied against Servers 136 and 225 in Ember. Ember tried to push their way into Midgard but was stopped by numerous towers surrounding the gates. Server 209 occupies Ymir and Servers 16, 56, and 145 control one Citadel apiece.
In Region 292, Servers 73, 105, and 143 in Ember allied against Servers 123 and 170 in Zephyr. Ember demolished Zephyr and 170 disappeared like the wind. Server 73 occupies Ymir and a Citadel while Servers 105 and 143 take one Citadel each.

💠Summary

The results of the third week of IBL changed the rankings. Fountain of Life is the newest must-get legendary skill. Midgard became available to take this week and now all the winners have truly been decided.
