What’s up, folks? With so many new events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest, where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happenings, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

💠Illusion Battlefield

This weekend will kick off the Illusion Battlefield Prime League tournament. The first phase is a set of eight matches across ten weeks. Alliances can register up to eight times. This week’s featured matchups include a lot of the younger servers.

Server 334’s HW will play against Server 339’s DN at 14:00 UTC.
Server 344’s FFS will duel Server 361’s SVP at 14:00 UTC.
Server 16’s NG+ will play against Server 363’s SE at 20:00 UTC.
Server 275’s SA will battle against Server 340’s SV at 20:00 UTC.
Server M15’s LiT will face off against Server 327’s HOD at 20:00 UTC.

Coincidentally, regular IB also takes place this weekend so some teams opted to play that version of the event instead.

Server 14’s ZOO will play against Server 145’s Midnight Sun at 14:00 UTC.
Server 52’s PRE will face off against Server 139’s alliance at 14:00 UTC.
Server 105’s AWG will fight Server 136’s AOSK at 14:00 UTC.
Server 125’s ES will battle against Server 225’s LAST at 14:00 UTC.

💠Patch 2.8.4

Patch 2.8.4 will be released on Thursday, June 5. It brings a slew of small quality-of-life updates focused on user experience. Alliance leaders will have a slightly better time with impeachment requirements being raised from R3 to R4 and assigning government positions will be easier with player portraits next to their names. Players will also be able to share immortal ultimates, dragon skills, and Tower of Knowledge skills in chat. The big change in this patch is the buff to Nine Tails. The portion of her active skill that increases Triggered Type skills is shifting to be a passive skill and will no longer rely on the ultimate cast. Additionally, her Exclusive Artifact will now increase her healing from her ultimate by 30% which will make her a more viable healer. Nine Tails hasn’t seen much play and has been overshadowed by Fu Fei. She didn’t do anything well enough to warrant her spot on the first march. Hopefully, this change will push more players to use and experiment with her as the sole healer in an energy-focused meta.

💠GTArcade Bundle Updates

Rejoice as the bundles on the GTArcade app have been revamped. Packs like the Divine Coin bundles and the Eye of Chaos bundles were already better than their in-game counterparts as they gave more coins and eyes for the same price. Now, bundles purchasable through GTArcade will no longer provide Gems. Instead, there will be even more items in the bundle. For example, the $4.99 Divine Coin bundle will give eight coins instead of six. You will also get more Eye of Chaos, Theia’s Raffle Tickets, and Pearl of Findings among others. Additionally, there are six new bundles that feature AP and SP potions, each with a weekly limit purchase of one. Furthermore, GTArcade is offering first-purchase rewards and cumulative purchases. The first purchase rewards feature Hannibal Barca, nine Philosopher’s Stones, nine Medium SP potions, nine Medium AP potions, 100 Gems, and 100 VIP Points. The cumulative rewards include Random Immortal Fragments and Random Shadow/Holy Immortal Fragments. If you were already thinking about purchasing bundles, now’s a great time to buy them from the GTArcade app.

💠Summary

IBL commences this weekend in tandem with regular IB. Patch 2.8.4 will provide a much-needed buff for Nine Tails among optimizations. GTArcade recently revamped the shop to give players more bang for their buck.
