HELLO AND WELCOME TO HONORS CORNER!!!

Part 1 – The Foundation of Sustain

"Not All Heroes Swing Swords: Meet Theodora, Nine Tails, and Fu Fei"

Introduction: The Endurance Paradigm

In a game often dictated by burst damage and speed, Infinity Kingdom hides an elegant truth behind its most gruelling battles: survival is its form of power. While some marches aim to end fights within seconds, there exists another philosophy—the sustain strategy—where the objective is not to kill faster, but to outlive and outmanoeuvre. The backbone of these slow-paced teams is the backline: Immortals whose primary function is healing, cleansing, and stabilising your team against relentless enemy pressure. You may think why haven’t I included Zenoba in the mix, well, I think she deserves her own article. The focus being high rank Support Immortals, that are benefical to a sustian march build.

This series begins by exploring the three keystone Immortals of sustain-based marches:

  • Theodora – The Holy Empress of Healing
  • Nine Tails – The Chaos Spirit of Cleansing and Buffs
  • Fu Fei – The Chaos Titan of Burst Healing and Reflective Defence

Each brings a distinct toolkit to the battlefield, offering different forms of healing, mitigation, and synergy. Understanding their mechanics is the first step in assembling a march that thrives on attrition and durability.

Contents – Part 1

  1. Theodora: Holy Elemental Healer
  2. Nine Tails: The Chaos Cleanser
  3. Fu Fei: The Ultimate Healing Vanguard
  4. Comparative Snapshot: What They Offer
  5. Strategy: Why Start with Sustain?

🔮1. Theodora

  • Element: Holy
  • Troop Type: Bowman
  • Role: Support / Healer
  • Positioning: Backline

An example of Theodora EA, which shows solid primary and secondary Attributes, great it has Surge for its unique attribute.

How much value is there in a 400% (inc EA)heal that also cleanses your team?

Theodora's strength lies in her broad-spectrum group healing and status cleansing. Her ultimate, Divine Gift, restores up to 300% of troop HP to all allies. Once you include her EA, you gain an additional 100% heal to all ally units.

In Infinity Kingdom, MATK is a crucial stat for Immortals whose skills scale with magic power. For instance, Theodora’s ultimate skill, Divine Gift, heals allies based on a percentage of her MATK. Therefore, increasing her MATK directly boosts the effectiveness of her healing abilities.

Theodora also removes Damage-over-Time (DoT) effects like burns or poison, making her a direct counter to Shadow-element compositions that rely on these debuffs.

Key Attributes:

  • Healing Aptitude: ~696.5 (high scaling with healing skills)
  • Energy Regen: Fast; on par with other top-tier supports
  • Cleanse: Removes DoTs, but not Serious Wound (requires skill or ally support)
  • Weakness: Vulnerable to healing reduction debuffs like Serious Wound
  • Team Role: Primary Healer, particularly effective vs Shadow or DoT teams

Strategic Value:

Accessible via free-to-play events like Theia's Roulette, Theodora is an excellent long-term investment. Her healing scales with your march's durability—if you can keep her alive, she will keep your march alive.

🦊2. Nine Tails: The Chaos Cleanser

  • Element: Chaos
  • Troop Type: Bowmen
  • Role: Support / Healer
  • Positioning: Backline

This is a good EA, but i would like resilience for secondary attributes. Having both physical and magical defence, will aid survivability and sustain for this immortal. Plus dodge rate, means she will swerve a few fire bolts thrown her way. Meaning, she’ll last longer on the backline and aid your frontline to keep on dishing out the fight.

Overview: Nine Tails is a Chaos-element Immortal who also commands Bowmen. She offers healing over time and enhances the trigger rate of allies' skills, making her a strategic choice for teams that rely on triggered abilities.

What if you could make anti-heal debuffs disappear while healing your team passively?

Nine Tails is not a traditional healer but a cleansing specialist and tactical enabler. Her ultimate removes Wound, Bite, and DoTs from the entire team and boosts triggered skill procs by up to 10% for 6 seconds. During this window, each allied ultimate cast triggers a heal (up to 230%) for the weakest ally, offering situational healing rather than full-team recovery.

Key Attributes:

  • Healing Aptitude: Moderate (support-style healing)
  • Energy Regen: Standard; frequent uptime needed due to short skill duration
  • Cleanse: Full-team cleanse of Wound, DoT, and control-affecting debuffs
  • Unique Buffs: Trigger chance for allies' passive/conditional skills
  • Weakness: No burst heal; cannot solo-sustain a march
  • Team Role: Debuff cleanser and synergy amplifier

Strategic Value:

Nine Tails is especially effective alongside main healers like Theodora or Fu Fei. Her role is to prevent your heals from being blocked and to amplify your team's passive synergies (like lifesteal, control, or reactive healing). While harder to obtain (Chaos Immortal), she is transformative for sustain builds.

🐉3. Fu Fei: The Ultimate Healing Vanguard

  • Element: Chaos
  • Troop Type: Bowmen
  • Role: Support / Healer
  • Positioning: Backline

An example of an EA to aim for, I prefer surge to shining, because i think 30% increase in Energy Regen is important for a sustain march.

If Theodora keeps you alive, Fu Fei makes you nearly unkillable—how far can raw healing take you?

Fu Fei represents the next evolution of healing in Infinity Kingdom. As a Chaos Immortal, she comes equipped with a 520% AoE heal—the largest single-team-wide heal in the game. Beyond that, she has a Life-Link passive that reflects 20% of damage taken by the most-targeted ally back to the attacker. Her updated ultimate also provides team-wide control immunity for its duration, preventing stuns and debuffs from shutting your team down.

Key Attributes:

  • Healing Aptitude: ~738.3 (highest among sustain Immortals)
  • Energy Regen: Fast, equal to Theodora's
  • Cleanse: None by default; needs external support
  • Mitigation: Life-Link reflects damage (20%)
  • CC Immunity: Built into ultimate
  • Team Role: Main Healer + Damage Reflector

She provides substantial healing and grants control immunity to allies, making her particularly effective in PvP scenarios where crowd control is prevalent.

Strategic Value:

Fu Fei is considered meta-defining for players who unlock her. However, her Chaos status means she is usually gated behind gem-heavy roulette events or paywalled bundles. If obtained, she often replaces Theodora as the go-to healer, especially in PvP. Nonetheless, she still requires a cleansing partner (like Nine Tails or Purification skill) to counteract Wound debuffs.

📊 4. Snapshot: What They Offer

📊 Comparison Table of effects of EA attributes on ultimate skills

In future articles, I will provide an in-depth analysis of how Ultimate skills, EAS, Immortal specialisations and ToK skills are synergistic. The dragons used to build a sustained march and explore the effects of the dragon tree. All these moving parts need to harmonise to develop a march capable of countering your enemies. An example, when faced with a march using Posidone to counter his bite, which support immortal, is suitable in this situation? It’s not Theodora!

5. Strategy: Why Start with Sustain?

Why do sustain Immortals matter for your march?

Because without them, even the strongest DPS or tanks will fall to well-timed burst or attrition mechanics. These backliners enable every other Immortal on your team to perform better by keeping them in the fight longer. For new and intermediate players, especially, choosing the right sustain Immortal sets the foundation for PvE progression and PvP consistency.

Have you ever lost a fight where your team was close to winningonly to fall because one healer's cooldown didn't finish in time? Would Theodora or Nine Tails have changed that outcome?

Is double support the way to go?

6.How to Acquire these Immortals?

Well, it will require significant investment, either through gems or money. Take Theodora, you are able to purchase packs for the Theia roulette event, or my prefered choice Sparks of Galaxy. The later, will require time and gems, to take maximum advantage of the drop rate, which has improved in recent Patches. Lastly, is Chaos Wheel and special festivals like the upcoming Treasure Hunt, to buy packs to collect immortal Chaos Frags. Unfortunately, you can not gain Chaos support through the Golden Pass, however:

An indepth article to follow on and discuss the best approach to getting the best out of these events… a breakdown of the mechanisms, cost, strategy and duration to max 1 of these immortals.

Conclusion: Foundations for the Long Game

This first instalment introduced the key Immortals behind Infinity Kingdom's sustain meta. Each—Theodora, Nine Tails, and Fu Fei—offers different advantages:

  • Theodora is reliable and attainable for all players, especially F2P ( significant gêm investment and time, along with Game RNG due to luck with the drop rate of Immortal frags in events like Sparks, Theodora
  • Nine Tails doesn't heal in bulk, but she makes sure your real healer can do their job, and does it better.
  • Fu Fei is the apex of raw healing power and mitigation, but it comes at a high acquisition cost.

Points to consider:

  • Understand your backliner's function – cleanse, heal, or reflect. Don't assume they're interchangeable.
  • Choose based on your needs and resources – don't chase Chaos units unless you can afford the gem cost and unlock stars.
  • Plan synergy early – your sustain strategy begins with support, not damage.

🧠

Recommendation Summary

  • For PvE Focus: Choose Theodora for her burst healing capabilities, especially in Holy-element teams.
  • For Versatile PvP Support: Opt for Fu Fei to benefit from her high healing output and unique damage redirection.
  • For PvP Control: Select Nine Tails to disrupt enemy strategies with energy denial and crowd control.

Your choice should align with your primary gameplay focus and the specific needs of your team composition.

In the next part of this series, we'll dive into Part 2: Building the Core—we will explore the best Tower of Knowledge skills to enhance these Immortals and try to create unbreakable teams. Expect visual synergy maps, skill matrices, and a deep dive into what makes Spring of Life and Purification essential tools in your sustain toolkit.
