In the midst of the night, a horn called warriors from all over the land. The Red Knight knew what it meant. He had reminded his warriors all day. The time had finally come for them to take Casterly Rock. Alliance conquest opened and warriors from Xenith came in. Few they were but the bravest were there. In front of them, a new enemy, never seen before. Strong they seemed. Their power wasn’t as overwhelming as last week. They went by the name DXX. A great name for a great foe. . The Red Knight had gone through it multiple times. So had his Duke, N0mad. She got in and brought a friend, the strongest among XEN’s forces, Hyunx. Other members are in from both sides, few but fully ready for this event. As AC starts XEN has 9 members in and DXX has 7, a small but important advantage for XEN.

The game starts with a little advantage for XEN in the points.

Both alliances get the same amount of buildings!! No lead taken at the start of this conquest. XEN takes the Targaryen outpost and the Tower of the Warrior. DXX takes the Lannister outpost and the Temple of the Mother.

Raids from DXX allow them to take over the Targaryen outpost and the Tower of the Warrior. XEN, though they lost a lot, were able to take over the Temple of the Mother using by letting go of the other two buildings.

The ports open up and each alliance takes the one closest to them. It seems speed will be the determining factor this game. The XEN forces are able to take the Lannister port from DXX. XEN’s tactic seems to be quite blunt, speed and power, swift strikes allowing to take buildings while DXX concentrate on their own raids. The biggest flaw in their game is their inability to hold buildings for long though.

Casterly Rock opens and XEN takes it, their may not hold their buildings long but they get the first capture points. As soon as Casterly Rock opened up again after the first take waiting time, XEN lost it. They are fast but DXX is stronger which allows them to hold their grounds.

The strongholds open up and surprisingly DXX doesn’t do anything. They keep Casterly Rock but have lost the Tower of the Warrior as well as the targaryen outpost. The Lannister stronghold is taken by the XEN forces, a very important building as it has already started sending regiments to attack DXX’s buildings.

Only a minute after taking over the stronghold, it’s regiment frees up the Lannister outpost and leaves it open for the XEN forces to take. DXX only keeps Casterly Rock, the most important building sure but they are still lacking in overall points and points gained per minute.

DXX starts to move again out of nowhere!! They take back both outposts but they are still being dominated in the map. They continue to strike, they are still trying to get back and win.

Over the half-hour mark passed and is dominating in terms of points, their strategy seems to be working agains the low number of players of DXX who struggle to get a clear cut domination over the map even though they have the upper hand in terms of strength. XEN are at 23k points while DXX only are at 13,4k points, way lower. They have taken back the Tower of the Warrior though giving them 4 out of the 11 locations on the map against 5 for XEN, the mines aren’t open yet.

DXX takes back the Targaryen stronghold and the Lannister stronghold. They lose the Lannister stronghold almost immediately though and lose control over Casterly Rock. The XEN forces gain even more points and try to grow their lead enough to have a peaceful end of the match. The mines will open soon and they can still change everything, we shall see with time!

Right before the mines open up DXX loses the Targaryen stronghold again as well as the Tower of the Warrior. XEN refuses to keep the Tower though, they are waiting for the mines to open up, perhaps DXX are doing the same, they now only hold 2 buildings while still being over 10k points behind. All their hopes rely now on the mines.

Swift strikes again !!! The XEN forces take both mines as they open up, they now hold 6 out of the 11 possible buildings on the map. The regiments sent by the strongholds wiped out the remaining reinforcements of the DXX forces in both outposts.

The game is coming to an end with less than 5 minutes left. The DXX forces were unable to take back the mines from the XEN forces who finally were able to hold down a building against the brute force of the DXX warriors. XEN lost the Targaryen outpost and the Lannister mine in all of this ruckus, showing they still had to give up some buildings as they also let go of both strongholds though DXX did not use that opportunity to take them over.

With 3 minutes left the DXX forces were finally able to take back one mine from the XEN forces who in retribution took back the Lannister port. These last few changes matter not on the end result though as XEN has taken a conformable lead through keeping the mines for so long.

After a long fight of unending raids from both sides, XEN comes out on top winning by almost twice the points of DXX. The latter put up an incredible fight showing great resilience though they were outnumbered, their pure strength allowed them to overtake buildings from XEN even the heavily reinforced ones. XEN’s tactic of swift strike and occupation of the strongholds allowed them to defend well when needed and force DXX to be on defense rather than freely attack. This was a great match and also the first win of XEN in Alliance conquest, fighting off such great foes makes it even better.
