The All Out War battlefield was vast and bloody. With 8 big factions fighting each other, that was to be expected. A lot of buildings had to be fought over across the map, some more important than others. Hotep's faction, Lordsbane, had fought many battles with and without him already. Their alliance of N0X and FFS had battled a lot against the Shadow Faction of RoD and KAC and had both won and lost against them at times.

But after early successes, pushing down to the large industrial city, they were forced back by the powerful Longreach faction of BDR and WAO, losing more and more buildings and villages.

Although Hotep tried to help, bad timing forced him to be absent from many battles. This would change now, though. With Longreach pushing closer and closer to the gate, all that was left standing was one Stronghold, the last bastion of hope in between BDRs forces and the gates of their Fort.

This Stronghold was key. If Longreach captured it, they would have an operating base directly in front of their base and were able to start a long and draining siege of the Fort, squeezing Lordsbane into a tiny area to regroup in.

And now Longreach had declared war on it, with the offensive scheduled around prime time for Europeans, 19:00 GMT. Longreach would be busy before then, and so Lordsbane could just watch them warming up for the main event.

First they had a big battle versus Justice for their outpost. Justice was in a similar situation to Lordsbane and they fought bravely. Hotep could just applaud them for the resistance they showed vs BDR, but eventually they were pushed back when yet another rally from BDR arrived.

They were pushed back to the improvised camp barricades of the Outpost and started to lose ground, losing armies much quicker than Longreach did.

Even the late arrival of an allied force from WxC could not save them now, as most of their troops were killed, and so the Outpost was lost on them.

After that, Longreach quickly recalled and regrouped at the military, filling 5 rallies in no time.

Even though they were enemies, Hotep could not deny the efficiency and speed Longreach was working with. There were reasons why they had been the dominant force on the right side of the map.

Parts of Longreach's forces were also sent out to take out the Outpost from Ages faction. Ages defensive troops were small in number, and so they got overrun quickly by two rallies from Longreach, taking the Outpost in a few minutes.

Knowing that they were next on the list, Hotep and his allies double-checked everything, making sure they were ready for the incoming attack. Hotep's main march was tasked with following Grombold in his rally, fighting bravely and hopefully killing a good amount of attackers, while Hotep’s other two marches were on healing duty to keep his allies going for as long as possible.

Soon after, the Vanguard of the Longreach armies arrived, harassing Logistical troops in the Rear of their forces

Eventually those fast cavalry troops would be stopped, but it cost their troops valuable time and also spread them out a bit further than was good for them.

And then the assault came, hundreds of armies on both sides were fighting for this piece of land that, although tiny, was key for both sides.

Hotep decided to hide his healers in the middle of the Outpost, trying to prevent them from getting attacked too quickly. And it worked! They took quite some time for Longreach to find his healers, valuable time he could use to heal and recover resilience on his allies, but eventually

He had to fall back with one healer and lost the other, but of course he reformed them as quickly as possible. The battle had been so chaotic it had been hard to say who had the upper hand, but slowly Hotep felt the numbers on his side shrink and shrink.

Eventually his main march would follow his healers to the grave, but thanks to Grombold's orders, he was successful at gaining quite a few kills.

New rallies were already forming to get a counter-attack ready to hopefully gain the upper hand again, but sadly they were already quite late.

When Missim's rally arrived, the battle was basically lost already. 15 minutes of constant fighting had whittled Lordsbane troops down, and now there was nothing left at the Outpost, and so it fell into Longreach hands.

This was of course a big blow to Lordsbane, losing this key Outpost, but they would not give up. They were able to hold against BDR and WAO for 15 minutes in a battle that was started on their terms. Although it was unlikely they could push BDR far back, at least some local gains were possible for sure.

Hotep himself, although happy with his personal performance, could only hope they could work even better in any upcoming battle. All they needed was a little bit more and maybe some more help from their allies in other factions… Nothing was impossible, and even though the “Last Stand” was lost, they could still regroup behind their walls to strike again…
