GoTWiC [SoW] S15R3 SFu vs mfa

After two heavy defeats, one of which was unexpected, nobody from the alliance was satisfied, including Stanko, who knew that this alliance could do a lot more. We have to win the next match as we know how.

"I hope that we will finally have luck with our opponents."

And at first glance, I think we had the easier ones. It was the mfa alliance.

Well known to us from AoW when we fought together. This time it will be a different situation. Only one can win. And Stanko believed that it was them. They will be divided into 3 groups, the blue will go to the Armory while the white and yellow will go to Hot Spring and when the package appears at Winterfell, the white will go for it. Stanko was in yellow. He wanted to lead the yellow team, but he got the answer that he had to prove himself as a warrior first.

The match has started. Outnumbered by far, we had a big advantage, but that didn't have to mean anything. We were not allowed to relax. With all 3 armies, Stanko headed towards HS. The opponent had a similar strategy and after a few minutes the first clashes took place in Amory where the SFu alliance had almost twice as many troops.

The situation in HS was different. Fierce clashes began. In such a crowd, Stanko could not choose an opponent, at the same time he fought with several different ones, among which the spear opponent was the strongest.

Stanko fought bravely with all 3 armies, but he also had the help of his teammates because we quickly started neutralizing their armies while ours were still coming. What was important was that we had already managed to occupy Armory and that our troops should move south in order to suppress them from that side.

The opposing troops in HS were getting smaller in HS, so they slowly began to withdraw. Stanko noticed that and went after them. Seeing Stanko, the other players followed Stanko. It seemed that after 10 minutes the battle would be over, when mfa created a surprise factor and moved towards the Armory with a large group of about 70 armies.

The caught Armory team was scattered all over the side and that made it easier for the opponent to overcome them more easily, all the way to Armory without major losses. Now a problem appeared for SFu because a large part of the team was on the opposite side and the rest of the players should have started in a group to avoid a more numerous opponent. However, the package was supposed to appear soon and it was more important to head towards the center in order to try to win the first package.

Part of our troops were waiting ready in WF and managed to capture the first package.

The goal was to take him to base 1 where he would meet with the army group coming recovered from the north. Stanko was all the way on the other side and led the fighting in Greyjoy Stronghold 2 from where they met the opposing troops trying to break through to the HS.

Stanko was already tired and wanted to send troops to recover, but the constant attacks prevented him from doing so. Stanko felt exhausted, especially his 3rd Army. He decided to leave the fight and go to HS. His first army will cover the 2 weaker ones and when he feels safe he will send them to recover.

His teammates, who were more numerous than the opposing troops, helped him in this and managed to prevent further penetration of the enemy towards the north, and after a few kilometers, Stanko managed to send the army to recover. In the meantime, our other two teams managed to take the first package and gain an advantage of 3500 points.

Now there was a plan to attack the Armory, but they were prevented from doing so by a statue that appeared on the opponent's territory, and everyone went towards it wanting to take some prize, including Stanko who started from our base and was trying to arrive on time.

He arrived on time. There he saw the other teammates from the Armory team and was happy to meet them again. He managed to collect 2 awards but neither was the SS medal.

He was disappointed because he wasted his time walking all the way to the south, instead of going to HS and defending the castle from the opponents who managed to get close to HS. As they were ordered not to touch the Armory which was guarding over 60 opposing armies, the other 2 groups headed to the WF and waited for the next package that was due to arrive soon.

Stanko clashed again at Greyjoy Stronghold 2, but this time he came at opponents from behind who were fighting the HS team. Having caught them off guard, Stanko could choose whom to attack and chose the weakest cavalry opponents. He knew that his 3rd army was not strong enough to fight against stronger opponents, and he had to take into account who he would attack.

Our other two teams easily took the package and headed for base 2. Mfa seemed to want to keep only the Armory, without trying to take the package, and thus win points. However, the part of their group that was in charge of HS did not give up and constantly sent recovered troops to the north where our HS group was waiting for them, including Stanko.

It was already clear to everyone that we would achieve our first victory, but due to two defeats we had to collect as many points as possible. After defeating the opposing group, Stanko sensed an opportunity and ordered run towards their base. There were still about 15 minutes left and we had more than double the advantage, but mfa did not give up, but not far from their base, a group of opponents met Stanko and his team, who were heading towards mfa's base.

"This was an excellent opportunity to get more elimination points", thought Stanko.

They were more numerous and much stronger than their opponents, and Stanko tried to get as many points as possible. However, they received more and more armies and it was difficult for Stanko to fight against all of them. He invited the others to join him, but most of them were in castles or guarding a package that none of the opponents attacked. Stanko was angry with those players, because they needlessly guarded the package instead of attacking the Armory or pressing them from the other side. As none of his teammates came, and the two weaker armies were losing more and more troops, Stanko had to give up and retreat to HS in order to send new troops.

At 10 minutes to the end, 12k points divided us up to 80k, which was enough with 2 packages, however mfa decided to spoil our plan and they finally left Armory for WF and the package. Stanko received an invitation to immediately send his troops to the center where the last battles will take place. There were about 50 mfa armies that had already clashed with ours. Stanko was already late, but he was looking to find an easier opponent again because this was the last fight and he needed as many elimination points as possible to enter the top 20.

Some of our players also stopped playing, but again we had about 70 armies, which was much easier to fight. Mfa will not back down, it will fight until the end. We managed to drag them to the west side, so that our players could take the package and carry it to the base and thus achieve 80k in the last minutes. Opponents tried to break through to the package, but Stanko saw it and managed to stop them from doing so. The opposing armies were getting smaller and smaller, Stanko ordered that part of us to surround them and thus squeeze them from all sides. Stanko's armies were also cut in half, but he managed to hold out until the end. The longer he fought, the more points he would collect. After several minutes of fighting, the last opponent was defeated and we cleared the entire map.

There were still 2 minutes left, but there was not enough time to reach their base, so we ended peacefully and celebrated the victory.

Stanko ended up taking 19th place, which was a solid result for him, but not enough to prove himself as the leader and he had to try again in the next match.

The most important thing is that we recorded our first victory and that we are back in the fight for the top 50 and the goal of three wins in the season. Until the next match, enjoy!
