The long-awaited War of the Kingdoms Sunday had finally arrived, but this time, SFu and the entire kingdom of K226 were in for a big surprise. Just a few days before the event kicked off, two exceptionally strong BDR players landed on K226, looking for some merit points. But these weren’t your average merit hunters. These were top-tier players with maxed-out accounts, fully-equipped with SS commander line-ups and high-level strategies that left everyone on edge.

A few SFu players had already been zeroed for failing to honor the truce, which left them without a military presence when the event began. In the past three War of the Kingdoms events, K226 had underestimated their opponents and ended up with defeat, so hopes were high that this time things would be different. Lux, for one, always looked forward to the KvK events. Not only did it help her collect Rebel Outfit Pieces, but it also provided a great opportunity to rack up some merit points—if she got a fair pairing, that is.

The day of the event came, and the system revealed that K226 would face off against K66. Not too tough, but not weak either. SFu knew that some K66 players were well-equipped with the best commanders and setups, so the battle wouldn’t be easy, especially with the two BDR players lurking. What a shame! We all missed the days of Level 5 diamonds and winning awards. The leadership of K66 had multiple players with a Sapphire Dragon and the blocking option, meaning that once a bubble was lost, it would result in losing all troops instantly. The fight was already shaping up to be a challenging one.

As the event began, most players sent their troops out to gather resources, hoping for personal points. Lux, already preparing for bed, did the same. But when she returned to the game the next morning, she quickly realized what she had missed. Her good friend, Set Ral, a bow player, was the first to be attacked by a BDR player. He was zeroed in an instant. Set Ral had a solid defense, so Lux was shocked to see him fall so quickly. She went to check the battle report and was left speechless. The BDR player had managed to solo kill Set’s entire bow army and capture his lord. For context, Set was using full female synergy, supported by Cersei, and had a strong defense. What had happened?

Lux soon found out that the BDR players had made an agreement with SFu leadership to attack Set and take him out. Set had let his bubble expire, and the plan was to deprive the enemy of additional merit points by eliminating one of their own. However, not even the BDR players were prepared for what happened next. With Set’s lord captured, the enemy alliance froze him and began rallying him relentlessly until he had no army left. The power of the enemy was overwhelming.

As Lux looked at the reports, it was clear: the enemy not only had strong merit hunters, but their overall power was even greater. They quickly took over all the castles, and the points started to mount rapidly in favor of K66. Meanwhile, Lux’s friends on K93, who were great KvK players—like VladanSRB, Borke, Lady Anibas, Dimsa, and Lord Lesa—were busy with their own KvK and couldn’t offer any help. These players were skilled and courageous, and their assistance would’ve made a significant difference. But for now, the battle had to be fought without them.

As the points gap between K226 and K66 grew, some brave SFu players removed their bubbles in a desperate attempt to earn elimination points. But this ended in disaster. Rainmaker, one of the strongest spear players in SFu, was hit over 10 times by the enemy, leaving him without troops and resources. Lux watched in disbelief, but she knew that this was a perfect example of what happens to strong players who don’t have enough experience in the event mechanics. In this game, it’s always better to underestimate your opponents rather than overestimate yourself. There’s always a bigger fish in the sea.

The enemy’s relentless attacks resulted in a horrifying loss for SFu, with Rainmaker’s zeroing bringing even more points to K66. By this point, the gap was around 200 million points. Realizing how dire the situation had become, the remaining SFu players mostly chose to farm instead of risking any more losses. But even that didn’t go as smoothly. A particularly strong enemy player started attacking the farms one by one, preventing any points from being gathered. At one point, Lux couldn’t help but type in the kingdom chat, “Hey, don’t you think you’re too strong to attack my T1s?” But of course, the attacks didn’t stop.

Meanwhile, the castle siege was not looking any better. K66 had taken control of the majority of the castles across both servers, and their strongest players had parked themselves comfortably in King’s Landing, knowing no one dared to challenge them.

A last-ditch effort came when Dark Pegasus and DemonQ of SFu decided to remove their truce in an attempt to regain King’s Landing. Almost immediately, DemonQ was surrounded by the enemy and quickly rallied, though some of his troops had been sent to reinforce Dark Pegasus. Pegasus, who was usually fearless in PvP, quickly put his truce back on after just 15 minutes, realizing the grave risk after seeing Rainmaker’s fate.

At the same time, a full-scale farming war erupted on K66. The enemy relentlessly targeted and took down the SFu farms, but Lux and the others didn’t give up. They continued to heal their T1s and send them right back into battle, much to the annoyance of the enemy. After a while, the enemy gave up and moved on. Lux’s perseverance paid off, and she ended up in the Top 50 of the rankings, even securing some solo awards.

However, the situation on the battlefield was far from ideal. SFu players resorted to using their alt accounts, avoiding risking their main accounts in fear of being zeroed. As the event neared its end, around two hours before the final bell, SFu managed to retake King’s Landing—but it was too little, too late. The gap was too wide, and K226 couldn’t catch up.

Another KvK lost. Lux couldn’t help but feel a sense of disappointment, but she understood that this battle had been particularly tough. Not only had they faced the merit hunters, but the opponents themselves were incredibly strong. Lux reflected on the lesson this KvK taught: no matter how powerful your account is—whether it’s maxed SS line-ups, red equipment, or powerful dragons—there will always be someone stronger by at least 10%, and that 10% can be enough to wipe out your entire army and resources.

So, Lux shared a piece of advice for all players: stay humble and always keep building your account, because you never know when you’ll face an opponent with just that little bit more strength than you. Yes sure SS line ups, red equipment, powerful dragon skills can make you very strong indeed but in this war game there will always be someone at least 10% stronger than you and 10% is enough for them to kill all your troops, deplete the resources and overall diminish the hard work you have put into your account.

Now, with Lux reaching T5, she realized that her account had definitely become stronger, but the upcoming All Out War—her favorite event—would be a whole different challenge. Given the power of SFu’s alliance, they would likely face even stronger opponents, so Lux was already preparing for the next round. The battle continues, and Lux is still figuring out how to best navigate her commander line-up without her one true powerhouse, Cossomo. Stay tuned for more adventures as Lux and her allies continue their journey in the world of war!
