SOW PLAYOFFS II NWB VS HD! II ROUND 1

INTRODUCTION

The time had come for the SOW playoffs. The battlefield was set, and the two powerhouses NightwalkerBunnies (NWB) and House of Dragons (HD!) were ready to face off.

Both alliances had worked hard to qualify for the playoff rounds, however, they both understood the fights were only going to become more intense. Both rode in fierce competition, but there was one thing that was indisputable: HD! had more powerful accounts, a stronger veteran base and had established themselves as front-runners in the competition. 

It was obvious that NWB would go down without a fight. Their gameplan was incredibly elaborate, thier final composition was melded perfectly, and their sheer will sent shockwaves throughout the competition. As the counting to the war commenced, anticipation grew steadily. Would they be able to challenge the stronger force and claim victory, or would the underdogs get proved right? The war had officially started, the work to claim the SOW playoffs commenced.

Now we can allow war dictate what destiny holds for them

Both alliances executed a swift aerial split, with HD! quickly forming one group directed towards the Springs and another towards the Armory.

The capture of these strategic spots was crucial to getting an advantage in the game, and letting ground in the start would be catastrophic for both teams NWB and HD!.

As time moved forward, NWB began to push into the Hot Springs while HD! seized control of the Armory. HD! set the pace of the match as their stronger accounts charged forward to capture the Armory, which allowed them to set up additional defenses later on. The more wicked troops they had, the more harder they were to displaced, which further aided their advantage. From the start, Hot Spring was under NWB’s control. And while they were dubious about getting shoved around preposterously in a powerful battle. HOT SPRING  healing benefits would be essential in a prolonged fight.

With every passing second, the intensity levels on both sides escalated. Every meticulous choice carried weight in determining the outcome of the entire battle. Would HD! tighten their grip and capture the remaining surrounding areas towards the HOT SPRING? Would NWB’s master plan work to their favor and change the MAP scenario?

HD! continued to dominate from the very start, which kept both teams fighting very hard. The fight was bound to be gruesome given that HD! accounts allowed them to capture the armory however, during the capture, NWB’s stiff resistance did not yield results supporting them. It was certain they would not be relinquishing the HOT SPRING easily and would not be prepared to give up the fight. The armory was captured, providing further extra Atk to HD! troops.

They continued marching without a break, preventing HD! from capturing every inch of the battlefield for themselves. 

The war was still undecided with forty minutes remaining. The pressure was somewhere between high and unbearable for NWB, and while they were still able to withstand it, the question remained: will they be able to shift the flow of battle in their favor? Or would their opponents HD! Take a few more steps towards an anticipatory victory? The furious clash between sides continued.

At this decisive stage of the battle, the Winterfell package was spawned right in the middle. All alliances brought their scores to the level where they could stoop to pick it. All knew that grabbing the package would give them extra points. HD!’s more powerful accounts continued moving at full speed as they dashed for the package and collected it even before NWB could intercept them. 

As soon as the package was taken, NWB attempted to retrieve it from HD! Marches over the battlefield by NWB were overwhelming and full of determination as they blocked HD!’s way and killing the marches so the grabber would drop it.

Alongside the fierceness of NWB, HD! brought the package successfully to the base, thus deepening their control. Even though the battle is far from being over, defeat is starting to cover the NWB as they lost it to one of the core objectives.

As time was running out, they needed to find new ways to shift the war to their advantage. 

Realizing that they needed a different plan, quickly made the necessary reorganization changes. Command and Control allocated responsibilities to each member from each subgroup.

NWB's advanced plan attempted to retake control of the Hot Spring. Another unit turned their attention towards the Armory and knowing full well that the stat boost capped overbalance the fight.

The plan worked. Although NWB was losing, it was difficult for HD! to entirely mop the floor with the NWB because NWB coordinated. 

Even with the gap in the war still open in NWB's favor, they have proven that they can’t be dismissed easily. Their strategy turnaround has breathed new life into the fight, making it clear that sending out troops does not determine the winning team, it’s the entire group and their willpower that factors into it.

HD! appeared too strong for NWB to resist and do any strategic plays. Ranged battle after battle, HD! was pushing back NWB with powerful armies and skillful movements. Whenever NWB occupied a building, HD! was efficient in retrieving and reclaiming the lost ground. As time was lost, they pushed one more time, opening a new front. Their armies clashed again directly with HD! in a complete outbreak to seize control. This ‘whatever it takes’ attitude fueled relentless attacks and desperate attempts to seize control of the situation, but failed to break through the HD! defense. As time expired, the results spoke for themselves - HD! was victorious having left NWB, determined and competitive as always, out of the tournament. Although the NWB felt defeated after their expectation fell short of reality, they knew they had given it their utmost effort. It marked the end for them but they surrendered the battlefield, head held high, looking to make another run in the future.

Conclusion

It was an extremely fierce battle between HD! and NWB from the very beginning. Even as early on as the start of the competition, NWB had taken strategic moves to employ bravely and strategic teamwork to partition their opposing stronger rivals. They captured key buildings, contested objectives, and even pushed against HD!’s dominance. HD! managed to capture the Winterfell package, leading to counter offensives from NWB that saw them reaim and reorganize the fight.

Despite HD! constantly securing and applying extreme pressure to the contestants, NWB was by no means an easy target. As HD!’s win meters continued to tick away, it became extremely clear that there was no chance left in NWB regaining any sense of control. While eliminated from the playoffs, NWB had built a new sense of pride to carry forth. 

Even with turning out to be this deeply felt challenging defeat, there still lies new hope for the journey for NWB. Without a doubt, they shall return to go train even harder and come back ready to take on anything that follows next.
