What’s up, folks? Welcome to my article where I will be taking a closer look at the Star of Popularity event. Patch 2.8.1 brought it back for a second time with new additions and changes. The revamped 10-day event features more ways to get Rose Gift Boxes and rewards. Every player should take advantage of the event to earn useful rewards and Gems so let’s take a look at what the event entails, ways to get gift boxes, how to maximize popularity points, and the rewards you can get.

💠Obtaining Rose Gift Boxes

There are 4 ways to get Rose Gift Boxes that you can donate. Everyone gets a Standard Rose Gift Box for reaching the last chest in the daily missions. Players can also get Standard, Exquisite, and Deluxe Rose Gift Boxes by purchasing any bundle. A $4.99 bundle will give you 3 Standard boxes, a $9.99 bundle will give you 5 Standard boxes, and a $19.99 bundle will give you 5 Exquisite gift boxes. Cheaper bundles will give you fewer Standard gift boxes and more expensive packs will give you Deluxe Rose Gift Boxes. Furthermore, you can also purchase Deluxe Rose Gift Box bundles from the GT Arcade shop. For $49.99, $69.99, $99.99, $149.99, and $299.99, you will receive 20, 30, 40, 60, and 120 Deluxe gift boxes, respectively. All the bundles have the same value with each gift box working out to be $2.50. Additionally, players can also purchase up to 1,000 Deluxe Rose Gift Boxes from the Goddess Festival Celebration Shop for 1,000 Gems apiece.

💠Rewards

The rewards from the event are three-fold. You can get rewards for donating your gift boxes to other players, you can claim up to 20 gift boxes that other players donate, and your entire server will receive additional rewards if any of the players from your server are ranked in the top 100. You can get various resource chests, various speedups, AP potions, SP potions, and Philosopher’s Stones by donating. Players can also get resource chests, speedups, potions, Philosopher’s Stones, Random Immortal Shards, Glorious Challenge Credentials, and Tokens of Light by claiming gift boxes others donated. Finally, every player in the server can get 999, 1,800, 3,333, 6,666, and 8,888 Gems for every player in their server who is ranked 11 to 100, 4 to 10, 3, 2, and 1, respectively, and the rewards stack.

💠Maximizing Popularity Points

To maximize the popularity points and get the highest rank for your server, every server should choose the highest spender on the server to donate their gift boxes to. Standard Rose Gift Boxes give 1 point, Exquisite Rose Gift Boxes give 2 points, and Deluxe Rose Gift Boxes give 3 points. The easiest way is to have farm accounts purchase 16 Deluxe gift boxes a day for 17,000 Gems from the Celebration Shop and donate them for 48 points as lower-level accounts can only donate up to 50 points a day. If your server’s chosen target is not on the ladder yet, click their profile, and donate to them that way. Otherwise, you can donate directly to them on the ranking ladder. With a little under 36 hours left, the 100th place has 2,557 points. To reach them, an individual would need 853 Deluxe gift boxes from 54 accounts.

💠Summary

The 10-day popularity contest will last from Friday, March 21 to Sunday, March 30. Participating in this event is incredibly worth it for every type of player as all the rewards are useful and easy to get even if no one on your server gets into the top 100. This iteration of the event made Deluxe Rose Gift Boxes more accessible via the Celebration Shop. However, if you are not a farm account, you should not be buying gift boxes from the shop.
