Welcome one and all to the Siege of Winterfell where the battle between two seasoned gladiatorial teams will take place. In our 15^th season, we have the final round of the regular season between TFi and WwP, both looking to finish the season off with a win. TFi is led by the impressive Sergio Black, who is looking to get the coveted third win of the season and cement his team in the top 50 of B League. On the other hand, we have WwP, led by the respected SmokinG, he plans to take out his frustration on TFi as the season didn’t go as planned for him and WwP. Which of these two will rise from the ashes and claim victory? There is only one way to find out, prepare yourselves for the siege is about to begin!

Sergio Black is known for his uncanny getaways with the package has a plan to keep WwP busy, “ I have been sent a raven about the playstyle of WwP and they like to keep most of their warriors near the Hotspring, if we allow them to hold it, we can take the rest of the map, don’t worry about the packages, I will take care of them, “ Sergio Black was confident in his plan but was the intel he got about WwP correct or was there something sinister at play. Siege of Winterfell has a symmetrical battlefield, both sides have two outposts and two strongholds on their side with the Armory and Hotspring on the left and right side respectively with Winterfell itself directly in the middle. The team which controls these structures will accumulate points per minute, also a package from Winterfell which when delivered also provides points, the team with the most points at the end of the match wins. This season a new element has been introduced, statues when captured will provide a buff for a certain period of time. Will TFi’s plan be enough to overcome WwP’s fury?

DaleCooper is second in command for TFi and the one who will be calling most of the shots, “if they start to show a feigned obsession with the Hotspring, we will immediately start our onslaught on the Hotspring, to force them to the area,” DaleCooper had no doubts about the intel given but wanted to play it safe. He also would keep a small group near the Hotsprings, incase WwP left the important objective vulnerable. 

On the other hand, SmokinG wanted to emulate the start of the season and not continue the disappointment of their previous loss, “we began so great and lost our way, we will go back to basics, I know you won’t let me or your comrades down,” SmokinG wanted to make it simple for his team and decided to split his team into two groups, rather than further splitting them for specific goals. “As always our main objective is the Hotsprings and Armory, once we have these two, we will meet at Winterfell for the package, good luck to everyone,” SmokinG looked angry as one of his comrades responded, “we won’t let you down, we will never surrender.” SmokinG was happy with the response but inside he was still reeling from previous mistakes. Will SmokinG be able to defeat his demons or will they cause his downfall? 

The match got underway as both sides scouted each other approach, “WwP are sending more warriors towards the Hotspring, the intel was right, stick to the plan, we will meet them at the Hotspring but are goal is not to take it, just keep them there, “Sergio Black was ready to put his plan into motion but something was nagging him in the back of his mind, who sent the raven?

As WwP made their way towards the Hotsping, they could see TFi but were surprised by the lack of numbers, “it seems we outnumber them heavily, take the Hotsprings, the longer we keep it the more they will suffer, “SmokinG couldn’t believe his luck, such an important objective being given for free but he had no idea he was falling for TFi’s trap. Meanwhile the Armory was surprising also taken by WwP, “it seems our numbers today are less than usual, they also outnumber us here at the Armory, “DaleCooper didn’t like what he saw but knew the package was always the x-factor TFi could lean on. 

The first statue overlapped with the first package spawn, “I was right, they are more concerned with the Hotsprings, keep sending more in that direction while we take the package,” Sergio Black could see the priority WwP put on the Hotsprings and the lacks of forces moving towards the statue or the package. “I’ll head with a small group towards the Stranger Statue, WwP seems to be ignoring it,” DaleCooper could see the tunnel vision WwP had for both Armory and Hotsprings, he only hoped WwP wouldn’t realise their fatal flaw. Meanwhile WwP held both Armory and Hotsprings but things didn’t seem right, “they keep sending waves of warriors towards us but they are too small to make a dent, perhaps they believe the package is far more important than map control,” SmokinG saw things differently, he believed both objectives to be far superior than the package but is he wrong? As for TFi and Sergio Black they delivered the package equalizing the points while giving WwP a false sense of security. 

As the snow started to fall on Winterfell so did the hammer on top of WwP, “we have to change our tactics, they are gaining more points than us, we will focus more on the package with the third spawn, right now we are too late to contest it,” SmokinG realised giving up the package was a mistake, he had to fight for every package if WwP wants a chance at victory. “I wonder when they will realise, they are giving us the win with their tactics, “DaleCooper couldn’t believe how easy it was, every statue was uncontested so far by WwP and the second package was delivered by TFi with mild resistance. As the siege rages on, will WwP finally adapt to the situation or is it too late to mount a comeback? Stay with us Lord and Ladies as the exciting battle moved into full swing. 

As half the match was already behind us, it became crucial that WwP fight for every statue and every package to show they had learnt from their mistakes, “we have to leave the Hotsprings, move towards the third package, if we don’t make our stand now, they will run away with the match,” SmokinG started to move the bulk of his forces towards Winterfell which TFi already controlled. As soon as the Hotspring became less defended, the small group that was left by DaleCooper to hold WwP back pounced. “They are leaving, now is our chance, take out the small group they have kept at the Hotsprings and we can finally have the healing buff we need to continue this match,” Moshow1 who was designated the leader of this group made his move to devasting consequences, as TFi took the Hotsprings while the main group of WwP hadn’t even reached Winterfell yet.

Finally, SmokinG could see Sergio Black at the Winterfell gates, “you will taste defeat here, Winterfell shall be ours, “SmokinG roared as he lunged towards Sergio Black hoping for a fatal blow. Sergio Black was forced to use his shield and back away from the package, “nothing can stop us now, you are too late, I wonder who sent us the raven,” Sergio Black smiled from ear to ear. SmokinG seemed confused, “what raven?” As Sergio Black sent his sword directly towards SmokinGs chest but to no avail, “you have a spy amongst you,” Sergio Black seemed to have caught the attention of SmokinG and his forces long enough for DiamondTears to pick up the package and make his great escape. As the battle between Sergio Black forces and SmokinG forces rages on, the rest of the map started to fill with the banners of TFi, cementing their lead.

In the end Sergio Black was forced to give up control of the Winterfell area but DiamondTears successfully managed to deliver the third package, “our lead is far too great, now is the time to push our advantage, “DiamondTears could sense a change in the air, WwP seemed to be deflated by their loss of the third package. SmokinG was feeling the dread of defeat, “who was he talking about?” he whispered to himself. “Let’s move out again, we can’t stay at Winterfell, we are losing everything else, “SmokinG gave up on winning the match, it was down to damage control now. Sergio Black was running rings around WwP, as he swung around the main army forces and made his return to Winterfell, securing and delivering the fourth package uncontested. As the snow falls on the dead of both sides, a calm cloud covered the battlefield, could this be the calm before the storm?

With the final minutes of the match approaching both sides started to wind down, “I wish I knew who sent us the raven about their tactics, I would want to thank that person for their gift, “DaleCooper was sitting at Stark Stronghold 2 contemplating what had just occurred. Meanwhile Sergio Black laughed to himself as he walked towards Stark Stronghold 2 with the package, “will they ever understand what I did for the Great Other here today, he got his blood and he will return,” Sergio Black hid his sinister plan from the others but the Lord of Darkness never sleeps when mortals are so easily twisted to his command.

The match came to an end, TFi had won convincingly but there were sinister forces at play unknown to most of the TFi members, “we lost a lot feeding their forces at Hotsprings, was that really necessary,” DaleCooper said softly to Sergio Black. “All of it was necessary, for the God of Night and Terror demands it,” Sergio Black looked into the eyes of DaleCooper, who had a confused look on his face. Nevertheless, TFi celebrated a well-deserved win and ended their season with 3 wins, which was their goal at the start of the match.

On the other side of the battlefield, blooded and bruised WwP picked themselves up from their loss,” we made mistakes in this match, we will learn from them and move on, they were the better team on the day but I was glad we didn’t give up and made it hard for them,” SmokinG gave his final speech of the match but in the back of his mind, he was looking for a twitch on his comrades face, anything that was clue him in on the “spy”. As both teams dispersed a single black feather drifted onto the bloodstained snow, the match was over but the consequences of match will be felt for years to come.
