What’s up, folks? With so many new events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happenings, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

💠Illusion Battlefield League

The first round of the Top 16 Duels came and went. Server 38 and 73 had 5 and 4 teams qualified going into the weekend and matched in 3 out of the 8 possible matchups. In the best way possible, many of the other servers were matched up against each other to provide the most diverse set of battles.

Server 73’s BUNS escaped with a win against Server 38’s MF.
Server 205’s Lion narrowly beat Server 205’s Lion.
Server 73’s CUBS crushed Server 38’s VA.
Server 82’s GN won in an upset over Server 73’s MYK.
Server 38’s SSQ expectedly defeated Server 209’s WP.
Server 38’s AoW handily demolished Server 105’s AWG.
Server 170’s IMPK beat Server 139’s alliance.
Server 73’s PRD surprisingly and resoundingly defeated Server 38’s Ascendants of Asgard.

Server 73 won all 3 contests against Server 38. With MYK’s loss to GN, there will only be a single civil war matchup in the next round.

BUNS will play against Lion at 15:00 UTC.
CUBS will try to avenge MYK against GN at 9:00 UTC.
SSQ will likely concede against their sister team AoW at 3:00 UTC.
IMPK will try to survive against PRD at 12:00 UTC.

💠Goddess Festival

The Goddess Festival event started on March 21 and will end on March 30, giving players 10 days to gain rewards. It follows the exact same format as the Fourth Anniversary event with trials, challenges, and Dazzling Wish. The event also features another HP skin with a 3% death reduction in its Radiant Path Battle Pass. It costs $49.99. In the Dazzling Wish pool, you can try your hand at pulling Apollo, his artifact, Cao Cao, and his artifact, though the percentages are extremely low. Only high spenders should purchase bundles for Token of Light, given how difficult it is to pull Apollo. Low and mid-spenders should absolutely get the battle pass for the Goddess of Victory skin if you do not already have an HP skin. Otherwise, you can forgo it and just enjoy the free shards and Tokens of Life. In the Celebration Shop, most players should aim for the 500 Stardust. Everything else will cost about 9,000 coins. If you want to be able to afford everything, buy the Tokens of Light last unless you are trying to get Apollo. All in all, there are a lot of things for all types of players to enjoy.

💠Star of Popularity

The second contest of the Star of Popularity is back with Patch 2.8.1. Players will have 10 days to try to get into the Top 100 to earn their server Gems and Philosopher’s Stones. Winners will also receive timed teleport animations that decrease death rates by 3%. The Top 3 winners will also receive timed skin decorations. Furthermore, the winner of the event will receive the Wings of Rage dynamic avatar frame and the rights to rename a server. Currently, the 100th player has 564 points and the top player has 17,461 points. Players can get gift boxes to donate to others to increase their popularity. It also rewards the givers. Players can also claim gifts from other players. Roses can be obtained from the Goddess Festival Celebration Shop for 1,000 Gems each and by purchasing bundles.

💠Summary

8 teams remain in the IBL tournament with 2 from Server 38, 1 from Server 82, 3 from Server 73, 1 from Server 170, and 1 from Server 205. The Goddess Festival event contains rewards and skins for all players. The second Star of Popularity event is back with more ways to gift roses to your favorite players.
