💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? With so many new events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happenings, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

Summary

💠Illusion Battlefield League

The bracket for the Top 16 Duels has been formed and every match will be extremely competitive. Server 38 and Server 73 alliances make up 9 of the 16 qualified teams. It is a miracle there is not a civil war matchup yet. On the left side of the bracket 5 of the 8 teams come from Servers 38 and 73 and 2 of them will exit the tournament this weekend.

Server 73’s BUNS will play Server 38’s MF at 15:00 UTC.
Server 205’s Lion will play Server M005’s JLA at 9:00 UTC.
Server 73’s CUBS will duel Server 38’s VA at 9:00 UTC.
Server 82’s GN will battle Server 73’s MYK at 12:00 UTC.

The right side of the bracket is predominantly occupied by Server 38 alliances. They make up 3 of the 8 participants.

Server 38’s SSQ will play Server 209’s WP at 19:00 UTC.
Server 38’s AoW will play Server 105’s AWG at 12:00 UTC.
Server 170’s IMPK will play Server 139 at 12:00 UTC.
Server 73’s PRD will play Server 38’s Ascendants of Asgard at 12:00 UTC.

💠Patch 2.8.1

Patch 2.8.1 is set to be released on Thursday, March 20. It brings with it the Goddesses Festival event which contains a new castle skin that promises 2% HP and reduces the Death Rate by 3%. There will also be 2 new Epic skills in the Tower of Knowledge. The first skill, Master’s Aegis, will reduce magical damage received by allies by 30% at max level. The second skill, Blade Dodge, decreases the damage dealt and received by 70% for 15 seconds and then increases physical damage dealt by 7% each time an ultimate is cast, stacking up to 10 times. Additionally, there will be a number of buffs and nerfs to specializations. All 3 specializations of Attack immortals got buffed with damage increases. The first specializations of Ranged and Mage immortals are getting nerfed with damage reductions while the other 2 are getting damage buffs. This is likely to bring forth a Physical Damage meta and weaken the current Magical Damage meta. Baldwin will also lose his debuff application on his Hurricane Energy Mastery and Adrenaline Rush are both getting nerfed while Lightning Strike is getting a buff on its timer.

💠Legion of Frostborne

With the Legion of Frostborne event coming to a close this week, losing alliances should get around 38,000 Cold Silvers, alliances with a Citadel will get around 43,000 coins, and winning alliances with Ymir will receive around 53,000 coins. Players running mixed Earth compositions should prioritize Assembly Charge, Berserker, and Wind Rage from the Legion’s Vendor. Players with Mage teams should get Spell Disintegrator. Weakness Protection, Siren’s Gaze, Full Coverage, Victorious Pursuit, Stormeye, Snipe, Unforeseen Attack, and Abundant Spirit can be sold for Cinders to get skills from the Wish Shop if you do not need any other LoF skills. Players who have all the skills already can prioritize Wind Crystals or save the Cold Silver for future releases.

💠Summary

After this week, 8 teams will remain in the IBL tournament. Patch 2.8.1 will have a slew of balance adjustments and new skills. Legion of Frostborne just ended this week and there are only a few skills players should spend their Cold Silver on.
