💠Overview
Sparks of Galaxy is a weekly semi-premium event in which players can obtain Shadow and Holy immortal fragments and their exclusive artifact shards. The event lasts three days at a time and will automatically refresh once every 24 hours. Players get a free roll every day. In the previous iteration, 10 of the 12 slots were filled with various resource chests, experience scrolls, speedups, Dragon Essence, and Philosopher’s Stones. The other 2 were occupied by 30 immortal fragments and 3 exclusive artifact shards. Players could use Frosty Orbs, which are purchasable with Gems and currency, to play. Every used orb will reward 1 Horo Point if the player does not pull the immortal fragments. Once it reaches 100 Horo Points, the next pull will guarantee the fragments. In the fourth anniversary version of Sparks of Galaxy, all slots are replaced with more valuable items. There are 2 slots of 5 Dragon Crystals, 2 slots of Dragon Essence, 3 slots of 2 immortal fragments, 4 slots of an exclusive artifact shard, and 1 slot of 30 immortal fragments. The Horo Points will also reset after receiving any immortal fragment.

💠Frosty Orb Bundle Value
Players can purchase bundles of 5, 10, 18, and 24 Frosty Orbs for $0.99, $1.99, $4.99, and $9.99 once a day and bundles of 32, 40, and 50 Frosty Orbs for $14.99, $49.99, and $99.99 5 times a day. The best values are the first 3 bundles have the best value before they drop significantly. You could make a case for purchasing the first 5 bundles, but I would absolutely refrain from buying the last ones as the price increases by more than double. Players can also purchase 5 orbs for 1,000 Gems 20 times a day.

💠Dragon Crystals and Dragon Essences Value
Holy and Shadow Dragon Shards are extremely valuable for players who aspire to build and max Holy and Shadow Dragons. Besides the monthly VIP code and the monthly GTArcade pack that gives 100 shards each, the cheapest options are the weekly Dragon Knight bundles. For $4.99, $9.99, $19.99, $49.99, and $99.99, you get 60, 120, 240, 480, and 600 crystals respectively. The crystals in the first 3 packs come out to be $0.08 each while the next two are worth $0.10 and $0.16. For Dragon Essences, there are plenty of free ways to get them, so they are not worth a lot. Time Rift Breaker shop has 5 a week, clearing tiers of Open Arena also reward essences, Throne of the Supreme shop has 15 a month, and you can also get 30 a month from free GTArcade packs. Due to the numerous ways to get essences for free, we’re going to omit the value of them when considering Sparks of Galaxy.

With 1,000 Frost Orbs, I was able to pull 2,500 Holy Dragon Crystals so if you only purchase 100 orbs with 20,000 Gems, you will likely average around 250 Dragon Crystals. To reach 100 orbs with bundles, you will spend about $36. With $36, pulling 250 Dragon Crystals averages to about $0.14 per crystal which is nearly 2 times worse than the value of the Dragon Knight bundles. Luckily, you also get immortal shards and artifact fragments on top of it.

💠Immortal Fragments and Artifact Shards Value
There isn’t a better alternative to getting Holy and Shadow immortal fragments and their artifact shards. Theia’s Roulette is far too expensive for anyone but high-spenders and Ancient Remnant Chests from Legion of Frostborne are too expensive and random. The unfortunate change that came with the limited-time Sparks of Galaxy is that Horo Points will reset when you obtain any immortal fragments and not just the slot of 30 fragments. Players would have gained significantly more shards. In 1,000 pulls, I was able to get 1,418 immortal fragments and 208 artifact shards. That comes out to be about 140 fragments and 21 shards per 100 Frosty Orbs. The average number of immortal fragments in the limited-time event is significantly higher than the original event. The exclusive artifact shards are worse though. Even when you get enough fragments to complete the development of an immortal, you would likely not even get enough shards to craft 6 artifacts.

💠Summary
If you need Holy and Shadow immortal shards, the new Sparks of Galaxy is extremely worth it. If you only need Dragon Crystals, I would stick to purchasing the Dragon Knight bundles. If you need Exclusive Artifact shards, I would wait for the original event to return. If you need all 3 rewards, this is the best time to do Sparks of Galaxy.
