💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? With so many new events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happening, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

💠Illusion Battlefield League

The first week of playoffs finally kicked off. The first matches have been marred by the timing of KvK. Almost every alliance in every server kicked all of its members this weekend so they can choose the best KvK faction that gives them the best odds of winning. This causes a lot of the matchups to be one-sided and no-shows. Those who were smart enough to leave a few farm accounts inside reaped the win. For example, MYK won their match with 2 players. Teams who were expected to win performed and teams that were not also met expectations. We’ll have to wait until next week to see better and more exciting matches.

💠Miscellaneous Events and Rewards

The Conquest P14 brackets have finally been revealed. There are some incredible brackets this season. The legion will open in a little over a day on February 11 and end on March 15. Let’s take a look at some of the more exciting and active matchups.

In Legion 261, Servers 13, 66, 139, 193, and 231 are the most active servers and a winner will likely emerge from one of these servers. Some players from Servers 666, 193, and 231 migrated elsewhere so 139 could have a good chance.
In Legion 263, the most active Conquest servers have been thrown into the pit together. Servers 38, 73, 105, and 136 allied against Servers 16, 170, and 183. Servers 56, 205, and 209 will form their own coalition as they refused to join 170 and friends. Servers M005 and M006 are also in the bracket.

These are likely the most active brackets. Many of the others are fielding multiple lesser active servers. Legion 263 is likely one of the more exciting matchups we have seen in a long time, but there are rumors that Server 170 may sit this one out due to their perception of unfairness in diplomacy. They do not have friendly ties with many of the servers in the legion, but we will see how the matchup pans out.

💠Apollo

The Sun God Apollo will descend and make its way to the hall of Chaos immortals as its eighth member. His skill, Solar Crown Strike, deals 750% Physical Damage to all enemies to reduce their healing received by 30% for 6 seconds. Each time Apollo uses the skill, he reduces his damage received by 10%, up to 30%. Apollo has, by far, the strongest ultimate in the game. At 750%, he surpasses even The Buddha of Battle Wukong at 600%. Apollo is reminiscent of Genghis Khan as they both reduce healing. While Apollo’s Exclusive Artifact has not been teased yet, it will likely enhance the healing reduction rate to 50% or more, making him a prime immortal to offset the double healer meta that has been dominating much of the game in the past several months. He will be released as part of the game’s fourth anniversary event.

💠Summary

The first week of the IBL playoffs saw most matches being a non-action affair as a lot of alliances in every server kicked all of their members for KvK. The P14 KvK season brackets were revealed and the biggest surprise was Legion 263 where most of the active Conquest servers were placed. IK just unveiled the newest Chaos immortal to join the back line. Apollo is an energized version of Genghis Khan and should bring forth a new meta.
