SKR's chance to reach their goal

As the season of Alliance Conquest was rapidly approaching its end, now with the fifth round of action here, SKR was closer than ever to reaching their goal of 3 wins this season. Led into battle by SIR ST, their strongest rally leader, and strategist of the event, they had accumulated 2 wins and 2 losses in the previous 4 rounds, where they had faced incredible alliances, and experiencing many ups and downs together. Despite the hardships, they had managed to come out on top and united, now getting ready for the fifth round of the competition, where they could make their goal of the season a reality, before the last round, the pressure would not be on them.

Given their past, of having always reached 3 wins a season, and one that was close to qualifying into the Ultimate Siege, but having experienced several losses in quality fighters, SIR ST decided that keeping the goal of winning three matches and not pushing for more was all that they needed. A more relaxing season, filled with incredible battles.

In Alliance Conquest, many warriors give it their all in an attempt to capture and own as many buildings as possible in hopes of obtaining more points than the alliance facing them. Having more points would in turn grant them the victory for the house they represented, either Lannister or Targaryen, and offer them greater rewards. For the top 16 alliances, qualifying for the Ultimate Siege is the greatest reward they could obtain. That qualification however, was a distant dream for SKR and SIR ST, who had not even considered it in the slightest this season.

Their opponent for this round was going to be tNt, an alliance that they had not met before, but that from the outside did not surprise SIR ST, he considered this match as the perfect opportunity for them to reach the goal. ''I believe we can win this one today, if we achieve our goal however, I do not feel inclined to fight in the 6th round.'' SIR ST suddenly told his members.

''Why not?'' they all inquired, ''We will be ranked 30th, that is incredible, but also very risky if we should face someone way stronger than us in the final round, we will drop considerably in rewards.'' SIR ST explained his choice, which made perfect sense for everyone in SKR. They all agreed silently and proceeded to walk towards the battlefield where tNt, their current opponent was awaiting them.

Although they had an advantage strength wise through SIR ST, the match was not a guaranteed victory, they needed to demonstrate that they could win on the field, and it was still going to be a difficult task as tNt will not just hand the win over to them.

The strategy was simple: win the races, and if not just let SIR ST handle the buildings, he will solo attack anything in his line of sight. Once they got to the battlefield, SIR ST noticed something about tNt, they had the exact same strength as SKR's members, he was the only one that stood on top as the strongest, everything will relay on him.

Once the races started, both sides gave everything they had in order to win and it showed, both sides secured two buildings, it was a balanced start. SIR ST was eager to jump into action, but quickly noticed: the mother was not a building he could take, the holder was using strong spearmen, it would be too costly and it was too early in the match to try for it.

This led him to fight for the outpost, which was the other building that tNt captured. Solo after solo, he kept on winning, forcing the enemies back, until the SKR rallies had caught up, winning and securing it. Now SKR had the lead right before the ports opened,a good omen heading deeper into the fight.

When the ports opened, the balance between the two alliances remained, with each securing one port, but SIR ST started testing this balance immediately. He relentlessly soloed the port over and over and over again, getting close to capturing it many times, but he was denied just as many times by the tNt reinforcers, who were doing a magnificent job at keeping their port. And they did so even after Casterly Rock unlocked.

Having to defend the port did not stop tNt from capturing during the race, which they did so promptly, they now had spearmen inside Casterly Rock and were getting a few more points than SKR. ''I need everyone to raise rallies on the port, divert their attention, I am going for Casterly Rock despite it being spears.'' SIR ST asked of his comrades.

Without any delay, it all happened like SIR ST wanted, however, all of his solo attacks were a loss, helping him hide the fact that he was attacking Casterly Rock even better. He was lowering the troops but did not send the reinforcers back, keeping them stacked at 25, until ultimately he captured Casterly Rock.

SKR was unable to capture the port for the rest of the match, but tNt never went on the offense, they had not tried capturing any other other building, instead opted to just defend what they had even if it resulted into an impending defeat. This led SKR to achieve their goal, and with a great match, SIR ST was proud of the communication and early success for this season. He hoped they could replicate this success later down the line in the next season as this victory means that the 6th round will be skipped.
