Alliance Conquest - Season 20 Round 3 - [N0X] vs [SKR] - Finally a break?

After the crushing defeat against [RRH] on the first round and the win against [MBL] on the second round, a win that has come with a healing bill higher than Westeros's GDP for [N0X] it was time for the 3rd round of Alliance Conquest now. On 7th of January, one day before the match, with hopes that the next match won't as hard or costly as the prior 2 ones, [N0X] started preparing for the 3rd match, aiming for another win that will keep them in range of their goal, reaching Ultimate Conquest. Before the match on the rankings [N0X] was equal in points with [RRH] but there is a rule on Alliance Conquest saying that 2 alliances can't face each other for 2 rounds after they faced so with [RRH] out of the picture the other alliances around [N0X] ranking points were looking manageable, but you know how it is with Alliance Conquest, some alliances go for drinks in Essos at 19:00 so they decide to have their fight in Alliance Conquest earlier. [N0X] didn't want to take the risk and sent a few ravens to their friends in other alliances trying to get some more strong warriors in their roster and upon receiving the ravens some of them agreed to join [N0X] for the upcoming fight namely: Imperial Rock, GA1A, DarkCrixo and Desmond Hart.

With their new added warriors, some of them being recognized in Westeros as one of the strongest, [N0X] was sure they can face any alliance in their points range and be victorious so Scythe, the queen of [N0X], signed the registration forms and everyone went to rest before the upcoming battle on the next day. While everyone was asleep the Old Gods took no break and on the middle of the night they decided whom [N0X] will face. On the 8th of January, early in the morning everyone woke up and quickly went to the matchmaking tavern to check the opponent. For this fight, the Old Gods decided that [N0X] will face [SKR] an alliance they never fought before, an alliance that on paper was weaker than [N0X] specially with the newly added warriors, but [N0X] never underestimates any opponent in any alliance events and as Belore II said: nobody can be considered weaker until you make 100.000 points during the fight.

Now with the opponent known, every [N0X] warrior started preparing for the fight, making new valyrian steel weapons for their troops, feeding their dragons the best meat and training new troops. They didn't even notice how fast day passed and as sun was setting, after everyone knew their assignment, they started marching towards the Alliance Conquest battlefield and at 18:30 sharp they started entering the battlefield. You could see from the crowd at the entrance that this is going to be the fight with the highest attendance for [N0X] in all the events they participated.

The assumption was correct as [N0X] managed to have a whooping 98 warriors' attendance on this match while [SKR] managed to only get together only 64 warriors. The numbers were greatly in [N0X] favor, but [SKR] had Sir ST, a very strong cavalry player and everyone in [N0X] was thinking: please no more high healing bills. The fight opened with the 2 outposts along with Temple of the Mother and Temple of the Warrior, Shado Mqueen(as he's known now in [N0X] because he apparently has square wheels on his racing car and can't win any race) was assigned to race for the Targaryen Outpost, he did his best but did he won? Of course he didn't, it was MeetTheDevil that took the outpost for [N0X]. [N0X] also managed to score Tower of the Warrior with Grombold and Temple of the Mother with ROCK777 while [SKR] took Targaryen Outpost with ChenB. [N0X] then proceeded to swap MeetTheDevil from outpost but weewooweewoo technical difficulties made the swap failed and was intercepted by SIR ST.

The swap on Temple of the Mother was also intercepted so suddenly [SKR] was in the lead with 3 buildings to 1. But for this match [N0X] was the stronger alliance with people that could easily solo the buildings so as soon as they opened all the strong [N0X] warriors rushed to retake the buildings, and they did so in a span of a few minutes, Alkalari, SHAKEanBAKE and Belore II declaring themselves as the new owners. However, Sir ST noticed that Alkalari is infantry, and he decided to make [N0X] bleed healing hastens and marching boots there and his solos were ruthless.

After a few minutes of reinforcing the call was made in [N0X] to try a hard swap, swapping their infantry lead to a spear one, ice bear. However, the attempt was intercepted by [SKR]

On the other sides of the battlefield, [SKR] didn't oppose too much to [N0X] so they took both ports, Targaryen Port with ROCK777 and Lannister Port with Desmond Hart. Then a swap was performed to free ROCK777 for Casterly Rock race and this time the swap was flawless and GA1A went in to rule the port. It was now time for Casterly Rock opening and Shado put on his racing boots on and tried to finally win a building, unfortunately for him he tumbled on the speedup button and lost another race to DarkCrixo this time. [SKR] was heavily outnumbered and outgunned in this match, but they still tried a few rallies on Casterly Rock and Targaryen Outpost mostly.

Despite being countered Belore II managed to hold against SIR ST's rally and even if he would've lost [SKR] didn't had enough rallies set to win the building. After losing the rallies on Casterly Rock, [SKR] decided to stop trying to fight as they were clearly not getting anywhere with it so the fight went on completely in [N0X] favor. [N0X] decided to use what was left of the fight to practice their rally timings, the swaps and hard swaps for the upcoming matches that will most likely be hard ones again.

Overall, it was a great match for [N0X] despite having an underwhelming opponent, the things they practiced during the match will be very useful on the next fights, as we'll all see in the upcoming chapters. See you all on the battlefield!
