More benefits, more surprises
Yet another Alliance Conquest season was beginning and Choso, one of the best racers of FuK, was eagerly waiting for it to begin for another chance to prove himself worthy as a filler and racer. He has gathered a lot of experience in both tasks, having fought in Westeros for many years, and steadily practicing and improving his abilities. In the previous seasons, he showed many times that his races could be the winning factor for his alliance, as he kept on winning and winning every single time he had to step up and help his alliance.
His alliance, FuK, had 2 incredible seasons, with qualifying for Ultimate Conquest in their last, they had done an incredible job and surprised everyone with their strength and teamwork, cooperating in order to defeat the strongest of alliances. Now they were eager to do it again, and show that their placement last season was not a mistake. Their goal for the season was top 16.
The event's rules were very simple, created in a way that everyone was on equal footing and going to give it their all in order to win. There were multiple buildings on the map, each providing various buffs and points per minute, with each having a different value to each alliance. For FuK as example, despite not giving many points, the warrior was a great catch for FuK, as it made their armies a lot stronger, whilst for others, the Mother may be more important, as it provides a healing buff, making the alliance use less resources and prolong the fight.
Choso was often assigned to race for the warrior, and he always made sure to capture it without fail. Leviathan, the leader strategist of the event, was someone that helped Choso achieve this level of speed, by trusting him to win every single time. Leviathan was a trusted and capable leader, who was the one that led them to all of their major achievements. Due to this, everyone had full belief in his leadership and were going to follow his direction no matter what it took.
Their opponents for this round were FDH, an alliance that they have met many times in the past and that FuK considers as their rivals. Their encounters had always been a 50-50 outcome, with neither side wanting to lose, and giving it their all, making the fights very exciting on both sides.
Seeing who their opponents were grew the anticipation within FuK, but also the stress of what a loss could do to their Alliance Conquest campaign. A loss would be devastating to their chances at qualifying for the top 16, so in order to reach it, they had to win this battle now. If they lose their spot would be lost maybe exactly to FDH, they could not let that happen, and Leviathan was going to make sure the plan was perfect to prevent it from happening.
After witnessing Leviathan's expression being serious but worried, Choso realised he had no room for failure, he needed to accomplish his job flawlessly. And with 75 members of FuK against 70 of FDH, this battle seemed to start well already.
As the timer of the bubble drop approached, Choso had to prepare himself for the races ahead: his first target, the Warrior, was going to be a hotspot for FDH to stop Leviathan's plans. Failure was no option and he knew it, this race was going to influence the match greatly. When the protection dropped, nothing seemed to be able to stop Choso, he was just that fast, not letting anyone come near him as he secured it flawlessly.
He couldn't believe that he unleashed such speed, he struggled in the past in the first rounds of action, but now, in his first race this season, he made no mistakes. The swap on warrior was an easy one as FDH had no slow march, nothing could go better than this.
A few rallies were exchanged on the mother and the outposts for both sides, exchanging holds, but this was not something massive, as they all were just awaiting for the ports to unlock themselves. Choso was eager to succeed again, not only for his personal record, but to help his alliance. The match was slow paced at the moment, but once the ports and casterly rock were secured, it was bound to get fast.
It was not long before the ports unlocked and Choso, with the same maneuver as previously, seemed to have no rival in his race, capturing and swapping this port as well without a singular issue. However, FDH had captured and swapped the other port, the match was in the balance, Leviathan needed something to shift the momentum on their side.
And he was going to do just that before Casterly Rock unlocked. FuK kept raising rallies, one after the other, with a single goal in mind: capture as many buildings as possible, and they had done just that. After many fights, they had captured all the buildings except the port closest to them, an incredible effort, Choso thought, who now needed to stop being distracted and aim for Casterly Rock.
The bubble had dropped on the building and Choso was hoping for a swift race once again, but this time it was not the case. He was just a bit too slow, losing the race to FDH. His frustration of losing the race was short lived however as Leviathan shouted: "They have to hard-swap it, they have no slow march, keep an eye on Casterly!".
His leader's words came true as not long after, FDH planned the surprise hard-swap, and FuK intercepted and secured the building without a worry.
This changed the momentum even harder in FuK's favour, who kept their lead all throughout the match, keeping the buildings to the best of their abilities, they had capitalised on the win. They had started the season in a perfect way, there was nothing better than a victory against your biggest rivals for the top 16 in the very first round.
Leviathan and Choso were delighted, and rightfully so. Both of them had made incredible calls and races for their alliance, securing the win. Now they had to keep themselves in check and focus on the next round that was coming, their hard matches were only beginning and they have to keep their momentum going should they want to qualify for Ultimate Conquest.
