We have reached the start of another season, it's safe to say that everyone has been looking forward to it, no matter how hard they try to introduce new events, nothing will knock Alliance Conquest off the top spot as the most popular event. We're past a SoW, SoW Play Off and GB season...no wonder everyone was counting down the days until AC started...

Interesting aspect of this season is that, it will be the next chance for teams to take advantage of the extra buffs and stats, what the research tree gives them, we'll have to play a game or two to see exactly how much they've helped, but it will be interesting to see the effects of those. Other than that, there are no other big changes in terms of the way things are done, the stratagems are the same, the special buffs for the different buildings stayed the same.

DUM started preparing for the new season early, everyone received instructions on how to use the combat manuals wisely, what and how many soldiers we will need, who the rally leaders will be and who will be part of which team. The new commanders that have recently been released, have upset our previous strategy a little, it had to be tweaked a bit to make it optimal. Luckily everyone takes AC seriously, so even the smallest filler trained all kinds of troops, without complaint, even if they wouldn't go near to train any infantry/spear/cav.

What is DUM's goal for this season?

As before, the minimum goal is to reach UC, which we have to achieve step by step on a bumpy road, most likely. But we are prepared and excited for the season and will definitely have our fun whatever happens.

This bumpy road to UC couldn't have started any easer...we ran into KAC, right in the first round. The tactical battle has already begun before the first round, teams dropped their power or gained more to achieve better or rather worse ranking positions for the better draw! That’s how we ended up against KAC instead of the TOP alliances – that was the match what we were expected to win.

Facing KAC any time, changes practically everything, obviously we stand a more chance against them, so our activity will be closer to the rather minimal, I mean, that we're not going to spend 500 days of speeds for a game what we win easy, especially not in the first round. But battles like this can be useful, because we can try things that might be important later on, a good practice could never hurt!!!

Everything was ready for the beginning of the match, and the tension was perceptible. Both alliances aimed to win the match without a shadow of a doubt, but there was a significant difference between the two alliances in terms of presence on the battlefield: 73 members for DUM and 65 for KAC!

"We have to keep our guards up, the numerical advantage and the fact that we have stronger warriors should not distract us, we are facing a good opponent and we must give our all to achieve victory" were the words BlackDemon before he led us to the battle

We were only a few seconds away from the start of the battle and tensions were at it’s peak…

Let’s go and take a look what happened in this battle…

A spectacular start was made by the racers in favour of DUM!

I was amazed to see my good friend, Shroomie being the fastest again to reach the Mother. I nodded towards him with an astonished look on my face, when he said with a grin on his face: “too easy”! Usual Shroomie being a bit cocky after a small success, well the smile has disapp eared from all of our faces, when we failed to secure Mother for the first try, KAC with a very precise move intercepted our swap, denying Godly to occupy it. This immediately gave us the opportunity to test ourselves on the attack, on two buildings at the same time.

Our speed rallies on the Outpost was absolutely spectacular, giving no chance to KAC for defending it.

“Are we going to rally the mother or yolo?” - we all heard a shout in the background, Thieff couldn’t hold his excitement, of course he wanted to go for the yolo! His question got answered straightaway, because the fastest, strongest big boys and gals were already attacking the mother...and as you can see didn’t take too long to take in the last blow on KAC defence.

The two teams managed to get one port each! Was this perhaps the beginning of KAC’s comeback? The conquest of a building of this calibre, one of their strongest banner Dragon V were holding it- could bring them the motivation that had been lacking at the beginning of the battle.

If Thieff had ask the same question as a few minutes earlier, we would have all laughed, no no no yoloing – to take this we need properly executed rallies!

All of our rally leads gathered their teams together and we launched our devastating attacks on the Lannister Port, waves were hitting very smoothly and well timed and showing our perfect execution – Adam 1 himself ended up in the building.

Our rivals were not pleased to have lost such an important building so easily, but they were clearly certain that there was no point to try to attack our strongest member so KAC choose to try their luck somewhere else, they decided to besiege the walls of the Targaryen Outpost and...

It was a very smart move by KAC to finding our, let’s call it weak spot: cav building!

Of course we had our plan ready to take it back, but first we had to look at a more important building: Casterly Rock.

The imminent opening of CR was just around the corner, and things were looking grim for KAC. If they wanted a chance to close the gap, they had to at least attempt to seize it.

However, in this case, there was nothing they could do. The superiority of DUM's racers was evident today; they managed to reach the building with an incredible speed, leaving nothing to their rivals. It was very convenient, that DU RI AN won the race and we didn’t have to bother with a swap.

So we could shift back to our focus on the Outpost…

Once again DUM showed their very organised rally strategy, everyone followed the instructions of the leaders and thanks to this they waves were hitting precisely, giving very small chance to KAC to resist and reinforce in time, at the end STRAW BERRY occupied the building and we felt very comfortable that it would cause a great difficulty for KAC to get it back.

But they have tried at least with some valiant efforts, but couldn't break through!

When the hives opened up, DUM warriors didn’t waste a single second to find and attack targets, preventing KAC to think about further attacks on our buildings – if you don’t have troops, you can’t attack, simple. Me, personally don’t like attacking the hive, since I don’t chase the eliminations rewards, I just like saving my speedy boots, they can be very handy later in the competition, when we all need to rush into defending buildings.

The rest of the battle was pretty quiet…the opening of the mines, didn’t change anything, DUM comfortably won the races for them and managed to hold until they were empty.

A completely dominated opponent could do nothing but surrender. The difference between the two alliances in terms of power and available warriors today was too significant to make this encounter balanced, at the end DUM secured their first victory of this season, with a very confident performance.

"If we continue to fight like this in the next rounds, I'm sure we'll achieve some significant satisfaction and success" were the leader's words as he prepared to leave the battlefield and return home.

We all had the same thought while we were leaving the battlefield and were on our way to home:

What is going to happen in the next round? Would we be able to continue our winning streak? We will see and if you tag alone with me, we will find out together, in the next story soon!
