🧙‍ Soothsayer, the diviner, have you ever prophesied your own fate 🧙‍

📕Story Background

The Masked Diviner, a mysterious figure who rose to fame through the TV show Your Past and Future, was found murdered one fateful night. The cause of death was poison—someone had laced the coffee he was drinking. True to his enigmatic persona, the soothsayer was sipping his coffee while wearing his signature mask when he met his untimely end. The gold chest at the crime scene had been ransacked.

Little is known about the Masked Diviner’s private life. His face, his history, and even his true identity remain shrouded in mystery.

The investigation quickly identified three suspects, each with a potential motive:

Yoko,The soothsayer’s concubine. Yoko knew he was having an affair with another woman and was reportedly furious about his nightly escapades. Her jealousy and anger made her a prime suspect.

Ryuichi,The soothsayer’s younger brother. Ryuichi was resentful that his brother had borrowed a significant amount of money and failed to repay it.

Yamamura,A visitor to the fortune-telling center on the day of the murder. Though his connection to the soothsayer was unclear, his presence raised questions about his potential involvement.

None of the suspects had an alibi during the estimated time of death, leaving the crime shrouded in uncertainty. Each had motive, opportunity, and a lack of witnesses to corroborate their whereabouts.

Who do you think poisoned the Masked Diviner? Analyze the clues and uncover the truth behind this mysterious murder.

----- Previous answer (Leave On a Christmas Morning) -------

The murderer is A Mr. McCann.

Mr. Townsend was strangled to death, Charlie the painter did not have the props to do the crime can be the first to rule out, and Mrs. Carden, although she had wool on her hands but was too old and frail to be capable of strangling an adult male. The murderer was Mr. McCann, and the prop was the leash he had on his dog.
