More benefits, more surprises
Another round of Arena of Honor where the team of Spanish-speaking players led by Lady Brisssy meet to play in a group and have some fun; they are Vanette with the name of TheEND, Diavola, urielgrande, Pish, Ashrak Jaffa, Correcaminos, Oonagh and Mahmoud Gaber.
As the group enters the battlefield, the tension in the air is palpable. The enemy team is already in sight—Arwen and ARES, the deadly duo from the LEG alliance. Both are seasoned lancer players known for their impeccable synergy and semi-meta combo that could easily overwhelm an unprepared team. Their playstyle is a calculated mix of pressure and dominance, focusing on quick strikes while controlling key resources. Vanette, always the strategist, recognizes the potential danger right away.
"Don't underestimate them," Vanette warns, his voice low but firm. "Arwen and ARES are no pushovers. They’ve mastered a combination of speed and force that can flip the game in seconds."
His eyes can the battlefield, taking in every detail of the enemy team's positioning and resource allocation. They haven’t made their move yet, but Vanette knows they will strike when the time is right. As he observes, his mind races through different scenarios, assessing their best approach.
"We wait," he concludes. "We need to see where they build. They'll likely go for camps, given that it’s the most predictable strategy, but we can work around that."
Sure enough, as the game progresses, only one team—aside from theirs—opts to secure camps. Vanette’s lips curl into a slight smile. This is her opportunity. Camps, while useful, require constant attention to keep fortified. The other team would be distracted, pouring resources into maintaining these structures, while Vanette's team could focus on something more flexible—trading posts.
"Trading posts," Vanette mutters under his breath. "Always changing, always adapting. The key to controlling the flow of this match."
While the enemy focuses on their camps, constantly reinforcing them to ensure a steady stream of resources, Vanette’s team begins constructing trading posts. These posts, while weaker on their own, are versatile. They allow his team to gather resources faster and shift their focus at a moment’s notice, much like shifting the tides of battle with the wind. But that’s not the end of his plan—he has something even more crucial in mind.
“Altars,” Vanette continues, a gleam of determination in his eyes. "Altars are the key. The more we capture, the more we enhance our point-per-minute gain. That’s how we can outpace them. They’ll be too focused on maintaining their camps to realize we’re building our advantage."
The plan is clear: prioritize altars over any immediate confrontation. As long as they can secure these structures and keep the enemy distracted, they can steadily build up a lead in points. The trading posts will give them the necessary flexibility, and the altars will ensure that they outscore the opposition in the long term.
Vanette looks to his team, the confidence in his voice unwavering. "Stick to the plan, and don’t engage unless it’s necessary. Let’s outsmart them, not outfight them."
And so, the game unfolds. While Arwen and ARES look to assert their dominance with their camps and predictable plays, Vanette’s team stays agile, reinforcing trading posts and prioritizing altars. The balance of power begins to shift slowly but steadily. And as the enemy struggles to keep up with the relentless, unexpected strategy, Vanette smiles—knowing that his patience and foresight may just win the day.
Vanette sends Diavola and Pish to the various altars, but the other houses explore and hit them with the counter, despite the reinforcements they received they could not defend themselves, they are too strong.
After losing the first round of Altars, House Greyjoy was not daunted, Ashrak Jaffa takes the Maiden's altar and is quickly reinforced by his companions, the attacks came towards him, but none were successful, he was unstoppable thanks to the support, he becomes the occupant of said altar.
The duel was very close for House Greyjoy; so winning altars was not enough, the team decides to follow Sigrid into the Dragon Pit; he was even attacked by ARES, one of the aforementioned players, but was unsuccessful, and Sigrid manages to occupy one of the Dragon Pits.
On the other hand, in the City of Glory, Ashrak Jaffa tries to attack Arwen; but the difference was too great in terms of synergies in the distribution of troops and dragons, so House Greyjoy sees no possibility of winning the City of Glory.
Despite the good organization of the team, it was not enough to get a good position, so Vanette stops his team from attacking the Altars, because the next priority for him was the mineshafts, everyone questioned that strategy, but Vanette set a condition for them to take at least 3 or 4 Mineshafts since those buildings gave 2000 points in just an instant, while the Altars gave fewer points; so each of the members of House Greyjoy decided to go for those buildings where each one gets a total of 5 mineshafts, generating 10,000 points, managing to move to second place and after that move the boys of House Greyjoy celebrated their victory, because that move helped them too much to go up, so they congratulated Vanette for devising that smart strategy!
