[TOK Skills Review] Energy Burst in Infinity Kingdom.

Today, I am excited to present to you another installment of our TOK Skills Review series. In this episode, we will be delving into the intricacies of the passive skill known as "Energy Burst".

I personally rate this skill as very good and been advocating the use of energy burst builds for quite some time now. It's crucial to grasp the timing and tactics required for its successful utilization. In this guide, we'll shed light on mechanics that may elude some players. Also, we'll explore strategies for leveraging this passive ability, including what to avoid and how to maximize its impact!

What's Energy Burst ?

This skill may seem straightforward at first, but it's actually one of the complex skills in the game due to its mechanics.

At first, it appears to boost your energy regeneration every time you land a critical hit. However, it's not quite as consistent as it seems. For now, what's important to understand is that it only provides energy regeneration when your immortal lands a critical hit. Upon landing a crit, you gain 100 energy.

So, equip this passive on Immortals who benefit from energy regeneration, like Hippolyta, Khan, Attila, Gilgamesh or others. I personally prefer the use of Energy Burst in Fire setups that are centered around critical hits through the Dragon, William or later in conquest Trajan. Also, you want to pair it with other skills that work well with Energy Burst, focusing on abilities that deal damage frequently.

Moreover, since energy regeneration only kicks in when you land a critical hit, you'll need a high critical hit rate. Keep in mind the significant 9% Base Crit Value boost from reaching VIP rank 13. Without it, you may not have enough critical hit rate to fully benefit from this passive. Attaining VIP rank 14 and 15 will further increase your Base Crit Value Boost.

What you did not know about Energy Burst.

Initially, this Passive granted 100 energy with every single critical hit, leading to potential spamming of skills.

However, due to its overpowered nature, it was nerfed by applying an internal cooldown. This cooldown, although not mentioned in the ability description, is estimated by the community to be around 2 seconds. So, landing a critical hit triggers Energy Burst, providing 100 energy, and initiates the cooldown timer. During this cooldown period, critical hits yield no energy until the ability is off cooldown.

How to maximise Energy Burst ?

To maximize its effectiveness, Energy Burst is best utilized in a fire setup due to the increased critical hit rate it provides. The key is to ensure a consistent flow of critical hits to activate Energy Burst consistently. This means pairing it with Weakness in the same setup. It's more advantageous to have many small instances of damage rather than fewer large hits. With frequent smaller hits, you only need one crit to activate Energy Burst, resulting in higher consistency and lower downtime on the passive ability.

In conclusion, Energy Burst is a formidable passive skill that, when used effectively, can greatly enhance the performance of your Immortals in Infinity Kingdom. Despite its initial appearance of simplicity, delving into its mechanics reveals its complexity and potential for strategic gameplay. By understanding its nuances and pairing it with suitable setups and synergistic skills, players can optimize its benefits and ensure maximum uptime. Whether it's in a fire setup or with other Immortals benefiting from energy regeneration, Energy Burst offers a valuable tool for players seeking to dominate the battlefield.
