A Question of Prosperity:

Magic Mage, here to return with an answer to a question that was recently asked by a fellow lord within my alliance in season 3 on Server 225.

This member had reached out with a question regarding overall prosperity. The question this Lord proposed was, “How do I increase my overall prosperity for my castle as your prosperity is greater than mine?” 

Magic’s Castle Level 46:

This individual’s VIP, and lord talent level was the same as mine. Immortal assignment values were similar within the castle and our production research was also equal. However, my lord property was greater than his and they were confused as to why. 

It should be noted neither of us had unlocked the Re-Organization research within the production tree of the academy research. While this research does not directly increase prosperity, it does increase a Lords Prosperity Recovery Speed.

Outside of the courtyard one can see a Lord's prosperity level when clicking their castle on the map.

The individual who approached me had a 48 level castle. Where my castle was at level 46. Per the territory information within the court yard, the higher the castle, the higher the max of prosperity a lord would have. Yet, it was easy to see my overall prosperity was significantly greater than theirs.

Why you should care about your Prosperity Level:

Prosperity is valuable, particularly in events like server vs. server Frostborne wars and Contention of Lords killing events.

A greater prosperity limit is advantageous when fighting an equal opponent in power. The greater your prosperity, longer it will take for an opponent to teleport your castle away from a desired location. This is extremely helpful when trying to occupy a city in Frostborne when an enemy is attempting to teleport your castle away to prevent one from occupying the city. 

Lords tend to first be introduced to the concept of prosperity early in the game during killing events either during king of the hill’s final stage or the contention of lords. It is here individuals will realize when their prosperity is reduced to zero, they or the individual being attacked will be teleported away from their current location.

Fun Fact:

While I am still gathering more data to confirm the following statement: from what I can tell, when you are teleported away, you will remain within 300km of the location you were attacked from. This is beneficial if someone attacks an opponent or rouge player you wish to continue to monitor within the map. I am curious to know, if you have experienced something similar or if you have been teleported greater than 300km away from the location you were attacked from. Please share in the comment section below.

In addition to the military aspect of prosperity, which tends to be an individual’s first introduction to prosperity; there resides two additional benefits to having a high prosperity level. I find many overlook or are unaware of two additional benefits tied to a lord’s overall prosperity. 

Beyond the military advantage of knowing when a castle is close to being teleported, prosperity provides a lord with the additional benefit of increasing speed of resource production within their castle court yard. This is critical for those trying to gather a significant amount of resources for building and resource day in King of the Hill, those trying to collect resources for Frostborne thermal towers, and those trying to farm resources to donate to cities and gates during the server wars to obtain alliance coins for portals. As a lord’s prosperity increases so does their resource production speed. 

The last thing one will want to look at is the recovery speed, the greater an individual’s prosperity, the faster their recovery speed will be to recuperate the prosperity. This is important to know if you are attacking lords for resources, because those bigger castles with greater prosperity will recover faster than a smaller castle allowing a lord the ability to get more attacks in within the same window of time. This is also helpful to leverage when playing killing events and you are close to entering the next bracket for rewards and the clock is ticking down with time. 

The Answer to the Question.... How to Increase your Prosperity

So we now discovered why prosperity is important and some of the reasons this lord who reached out to me would want to increase his prosperity speed, but the real question is how does a lord accomplish this. As I demonstrated above, the overall castle size did not in itself result in a greater amount of prosperity. Through this Lord’s inquiry and our investigation, we discovered that the farms one has within their courtyard help increase the overall level of prosperity. As such, the greater the level of your castle, the higher level your farms can be built to.

While my castle was level 46, all my farms were also level 46. I found increasing my farms as I grew my account ensured I had the resources necessary to upgrade my academy technology an continue building, while training and healing troops where my marches did not need to farm 24/7 or constantly attack for resources. This meant I could play different games and activities weekly. However, it also afforded me the added benefit of increasing my overall prosperity level.

While the individual who reached out to me had developed their farms, not all of them were equal to that of his castle’s current level and some were less than my own farms. 

With increasing the level of some of their farms the Lord who proposed the question about increasing their prosperity was able to confirm an increase in overall prosperity.
