Mysterium Labyrinth

Hi everyone, i’m PO PandaMoratia. In today’s article we will talk about the Mysterium Event.

Mysterium can be found in your city below the Academy. If you haven’t finished your mysterium yet, you have a portal icon on top of the portal.

Concept : 

Every 2 days a new Mysterium session appears, if you haven’t finished your previous run, the progress is lost and the Mysterium reset. So you have 2 days to finish each run.

The Mysterium itself is separate in 2 different sets of events, floor 1 to 3 and then the 4th floor. If the gameplay is mostly the same in these 2 contents, there are some small differences that can in the end make a big difference. I’ll explain them below.

The difficulty and the reward of the Mysterium is scaled based on the power of your first march when you enter the game mode. So if you're having trouble finishing the whole thing, you can try to reduce your first march power to reduce the difficulty of the event itself (keep in mind it will also reduce the reward).

Floor 1 to 3 : 

In the 3 first floors, you can freely use all your immortals and can even recruit new ones if you come across an Immortal Mirror.

You will travel through the labyrinth and can challenge Mysterium Keeper for gold, loot some Mysterium Chest or activate special tile like a Healing Amulet that will cure 30% of HP to all your immortal (even those not actually in the current fighting team), a Spring of Life that can resurrect one fallen immortal or heal by a huge amount one badly damaged immortal or a Mysterious Shop that will offer you a selection of goods for gems. 

I would not recommend buying anything from the Mysterium Shop, it is usually not worth it. 

You will however want to use both Healing Amulet and Spring of Life to keep your march healthy and ensure you can finish the full Mysterium run which is the main goal.

To that end, Novice account will want to avoid too many fights and will want to recruit some new Immortal in the Immortal Mirror to ease their journey, while Experienced players will go after every single fight possible to maximize their gold income.

At the end of the second floor, you will be offered two options. The purple portal gives less reward but keeps the difficulty level of the third floor at the same level as the second floor. The gold portal will give more reward but will also scale up the difficulty.

Mysterium Keeper : 

They come with 4 levels of difficulty, green, blue, purple and gold. The higher the difficulty the more gold they will provide. If you are in the first part of the Mysterium after defeating them, they will give you a choice between three temporary boosts that are only active for the first part of the Mysterium and nowhere else. If you are in the second part of the Mysterium they will give you the color orb that surrounds them.

The keeper that will do the most damage to your team are Shadow (either full shadow or the mixed Earth/Shadow and Water/Shadow) then Fire and last Lightning. Pure Water, Earth and Wind team tend to be easier and should be prioritised if you are a Novice in Mysterium.

Advanced Tips : If you have a Fire dragon with a decent level on its first skill, you can use a one useless immortal march with the Fire dragon to weaken the Keeper (or even go as far as killing it by repeating the process) to make it easier for your march to finish the job with low loss.

The fourth floor : 

Once you finish the first 3 floors, a new portal stands before you with 3 little color orbs around it. Entering the portal will send you to the fourth and last floor : the Evernight Labyrinth

Once you enter the 4th floor, all your immortals are resurrected and fully heal. All temporary boosts disappear and all immortals you would have recruited from Mysterium Mirror disappear too.

Two lanes compose the 4th floor, the left one (hard path) and right one (easy path). Usually you will send your main march to the left path and will rely on your second and third team to handle the right one. Immortals can only enter one lane, so choose very carefully before sending an immortal left or right, there is no coming back from this decision. Dragon, Gear and Artifact can however be swapped from one lane to another.

Once you have selected your 2 marches, you will have to select a reward. To get the reward which are Artifact Schematic Fragments, blue for first choice then purple. You will have to collect the specific orb required from Mysterium Keeper, by defeating them. I personally find Blue and Purple Artifact Schematic useless. So i wouldn’t overthink this and will for sure never take any risk that would compromise the run just to fulfill a reward set. 

You will have to make progress in both lanes to reach the end of the labyrinth. The maze is divided in 3 parts separated by milestone blocks that need to be reached and activated in both lanes to allow you to progress further.

There are also at the second and third part, some brambles that will block the way at some point. They can only be removed by activating a milestone plot on the other lane.

For Novice account it can be difficult to reach the end, you should avoid as many fights as possible, take all the heal you can get on the way and do a diligent management of the immortal you dispatch on each lane with your second, third march and bench mostly.

Keep in mind you can use the same dragon on both lanes, which can make your life much easier if there is a huge disparity between your main dragon and your others.

Experienced accounts will probably take every fight possible to maximize the gold gain without any issue.

Once you reach the end of the third part with both lanes, you end up against the final boss, a Gold opponent which is usually fairly usually to take down. You can use any immortal to defeat it, regardless of which lane they were dispatched.

Defeat it will reward you with Gold Artifact Schematic, even Exclusive Artifact Schematic at some point, a lot of gold, some resources, and some speedup. Keep in mind that you can use the Fire Dragon tips to weaken it if you are having trouble dealing with it.

The Exclusive Artifact Schematic shards are earned by pack of 5 (which mean a full free Exclusive Artifact every 24 days) and can be chosen in the list : Attila, Alexander, ElCid, Saladin, Ramses, Leonidas, Richard, Hannibal, Yoshitsune, Frederick, Yi Seong-gye, Qin, Harald, Arash, William and Arthur.

Heart of Norheim : 

At any moment on any floor, you can use a Heart of Norheim to resurrect and fully heal all your immortals. Heart of Norheim can be found in various events in the game but they aren’t in any shop, so while it can save you from a bad spot, you should never rely on them to finish your run.

Conclusion : 

While it can be sometimes annoying to do the full run, Mysterium is a great source of important resources such as Exclusive Artifact Schematic, Gold and speedup and shouldn’t be overlooked as optional content. Being diligent on finishing the run every 2 days will greatly help you improve your account.
