💠Introduction
What’s up, folks? Patch 2.6.5 brought us a new feature in the Deep Sea Eye merchant. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at what the shop carries, the value of the items, the value of the items, and whether they are worth purchasing. This should provide players with guideline to help them make their own decisions about whether and when to stop buying the goods.

💠Overview
The Deep Sea Eye merchant comes around every weekend starting Saturday at reset and departs when Monday at reset. The shop features Crimson Moonlight, Stardust, Heart of Norheim, gold, and resources. Players can only purchase each item 10 times each weekend and the price of the items increases every time you buy the item.

💠Crimson Moonlight
Crimson Moonlight is used to level up the portraits of Chaos immortals. The merchant sells ten sets of four Crimson Moonlights and they start at 1,600 gems per set, scale exponentially, and capping out at 6,000 gems for the last set. It costs a total of 32,400 gems for all ten sets and the average cost will have doubled. Since this is the only way to get Crimson Moonlight without purchasing chances for the Pinball event, it’s up to the player to determine how many they can afford and what they consider good value for the items. Personally, I would probably purchase only a few sets per week as the cost triples from set #5 to set #10.

💠Stardust
Stardust is used to level the portraits of Epic immortals. The merchant sells ten sets of seven Stardust and they start at 560 gems per set and caps out at 2,100 gems. It costs a total of 11,340 gems to buy everything. There are two ways players can determine if it’s good value for them. If you decide how much you’re spending per Stardust in each set is more important, then you would stop after set #4 as it will cost 120 gems per Stardust, the same rate as the market. If you care about the average cost per Stardust, then buying up to set #7 will bring your average cost to just slightly above market value.

💠Heart of Norheim
Heart of Norheim revives immortals in the Mysterium. Most players won’t need Heart of Norheim but some alts and beginners might need it to complete Mysterium if they are not careful. The merchant sells ten sets of one. They start at 20 gems but don’t increase much after each purchase. Each heart scales up 20 gems per purchase until set #5 where they drop to 10 gem increases per set. It caps out at 150 gems which is how much it costs in the rotating Special Bundles shop. If you need any, this is good value. Most players won’t need it so you can save some gems here.

💠Gold and Resources
Gold and resources come in ten sets of 1,000,000 gold or resources. Gold starts at 1,300 gems while each bundle of resources starts at 320 per 1,000,000. These are cheaper than the ones you can find in the market but I would highly advise players to skip the gold and resources in the Deep Sea Eye merchant. It’s a ploy for you to spend your gems and you should not fall for it. You can get gold from doing events like Infernal Assault, Mysterium, or just collecting from your alliance territories. Resources are abundant everywhere. If you desperately need resources in the middle of a fight, these might be your cheapest gem option.
💠Summary
Crimson Moonlight and Stardust are the most coveted items the merchant has to offer. It’s tough to put a value on the Crimson Moonlight because it’s the only way to get them via in-game currency whereas the standard market value for Stardust is 120 gems. Players should decide what they’re able to spend as you are paying a premium on the availability of the items. Since the merchant comes every weekend, it will get expensive, and exercising some patience will save you some gems.
