💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? Patch 2.6.3 brought us a new and improved Golden Path. New rewards and immortals are added to the premium passes, new items are added to the shop, and how players gain experience points in the event is changed. Let’s take a closer look at whether it’s better than the old Golden Path.

💠Overview

Golden Path is a monthly event that lasts 28 days. With the revamped Golden Path, the experience is rolled into the daily missions. The experience levels up the Golden Path and players can earn prizes including immortals, artifact schematics, and Merit Coins that can be used in the Golden Path Shop. The Golden Path Shop will feature two castle decorations where each one will stay in the shop for two Golden Path cycles before getting rotated out for other decorations. Players can also purchase nameplates, Space Portals, and Major AP Recovery potions. Recently, Crimson Moonlight and Stardust have also been added to the shop. There are three tiers of rewards you can unlock. The Silver Medallion is unlocked for all players for free. The Golden Medallion costs $4.99 and the Challenger’s Medallion costs $19.99.

💠Experience Points

Since the update, players can earn 12 experience per mission. There are 18 available daily missions which will give players a total of 216 experience per day. For the duration of the event, players can earn a total of 6,048 experience which will level their Golden Path up to level 60. Unfortunately, since most players have already completed the building mission and are generally unable to complete the technology research mission every day, they lose 24 experience. Without those two missions, players can earn 192 experience per day and 5,376 for the event.

💠Silver Medallion

The Silver Medallion is the free tier that all players have access to. The biggest values in the free tier are the two Philosopher’s Blessings, the Full of Energy chest, and the Merit Coins. In total, I would estimate all the items are worth about $5.

💠Golden Medallion

The Golden Medallion tier costs $5 but also contains 30 shards of an immortal. Some servers have gotten Seondeok and others have Trajan in their Golden Path. Previously, this pass featured 30 shards of Charles, Baldwin, and Genghis Khan shards. A lot of the value is baked into the immortal shards, but most players already had those immortals so the $5 pass had significantly less value. At the cheapest, 30 shards of Trajan or Seondeok would cost around $8 on average. Before even including the other rewards, the value of the immortal itself already exceeds the cost of the pass.

💠Challenger’s Medallion

The most premium tier costs $20. The most coveted item in the Challenger’s Medallion tier are now the immortal exclusive artifacts, either Trajan’s or Seondeok’s depending on which immortal is in your Golden Path. The other high-value items are the Merit Coins. The premium pass will instantly level your Golden Path to level 20. In addition to the daily missions, your pass can reach up to level 80. Each additional level past level 50 rewards five Merit Coins. You get 10 coins less than the previous version of Golden Path but the exclusive artifacts easily make up the value. In total, players can expect 250 coins which equates to about $13 worth of value. You would also get two additional Philosopher’s Blessings, a Full of Energy Chest, and a few Speedy Construction Chests that give random speedups. 60 Trajan or Seondeok artifacts would already cost around $16 when you purchase their $2 immortal packs.

💠Summary

The new Golden Path is an extremely high-value purchase. Seondeok and Trajan’s exclusive artifacts are only available in the Triss Blessing event where you may not even get 30 pieces of the artifact for $20. This Golden Path not only gives two full artifacts; it even rewards you with 60 shards of the immortal. The new Golden Path should have players coming back to purchase it every month. In the shop, Stardust is not worth getting as you can get it in other ways for cheaper, but Crimson Moonlight might be good for players building chaos immortals to get as it’s cheaper than the alternative in the Pinball event.
